Bait & Switch tactics Asking me for my airline information but not booking me at the airport. To add to that, you book me at a place that closes at 5 pm knowing airlines have a 1 in 5 glitch such that when I’m delayed, the office is closed and I need to rebook at 3 times the price. The Branch Manager had very poor customer service skills. There was a miscommunication on insurance coverage, he did not want to help me resolve the problem. I asked him to call the corporate office together so we could find a resolution and he refused to do that. When I insisted we make that call, he threatened to call the police if I did not leave the office immediately. I have never experienced this poor level of service in a car rental office. I expected better from Hertz, and maybe it is a need for customer service training for that particular manager, but it is a poor reflection on a good company.Reviewed 13 Oct 2022

When I picked up my car from Reno, I was helped out by the operations manager. I did not get her name, but she went above and beyond in helping me. When I rented my car, I made the mistake of picking it up from Vassar instead of Reno-Tahoe international airport. When I approached the counter to pick up my car, she noticed that I did not have a rental scheduled to be picked up at the airport. Once I explained to her that I was with my wife and baby, she was willing to give me a ride to pick up my rental from Vassar and get me on the road. Once I picked up my car from the different Hertz location, I returned back to the airport. Thankfully, she was still at the Hertz counter and I requested to drop the car at the airport instead of the Vassar location. She went above and beyond again to assist me, and was able to drop the car off at the airport without any issues. I will be coming back to Hertz in the near future to get awesome customer service and for decently priced rentals!Reviewed 12 Oct 2022

I booked car rental 4 days prior to my trip. I got 2 confirmations from Hertz about the reservation. Couple hours before my arrival while i am on my connection flight i got a phone call from Hertz canceling my reservation as they could not accommodate it due to car unavailability. I got to Reno with no car available throughout town and had to use Uber. Hertz branch manager was not helpful and very rude.Reviewed 15 Sep 2022

Our flight was delayed and HERTZ gave away my rental because we got in late. Clearly NOT OUR FAULT. It was already paid in full. This was most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of or experienced. They didn’t even offer us an instant refund or just refund immediately and now I have to deal with their customer service for no reason. I had a reservation and I got their before 9:00am and they saw that I had a reservation; but said they had a glitch in their system and put me on a list and try helping me and hid in the back behind a door in office and said we will not have a car into after 1:00 pm and totally left me hanging!! I could not find my driver's license, so I was not able to rent the car after having made a reservation in advance. I COMPLETELY understand and agree that it was my fault. However, because the car was not taken out of the lot, I should not have been made to pay the insurance or taxes, etc.Reviewed 16 Jun 2022

Meeting daughter in Reno (both flying in), my flight delayed so I call Hertz to add her as a driver so they could use car to leave airport and eat a meal. No joy whatsoever, person understood the issue but said no way. Said do it when you get to the counter (well I am going to be at 30,000 ft when they arrive. Fortunately my daughter persisted and went to the Hertz counter and since she has not yet converted her ID to her married name she talked them into giving her the car. Reserved a Premium class car, we had 5 people and was not as big as I thought a premiums car would be. Does seat 5 so we made it work. Trunk was small for rated 4 bags (especially when two are female with lots of stuff). So bags were on laps.Reviewed 8 Jun 2022
