Pros:No, the staff was rude and non-customer service oriented! I was shocked totally. ******Please be aware there is HERTZ airport location and a HERTZ offsite Pensacola location (10-15 minute Uber I was told by Don at airport counter) that is not differentiated in my reservation (or the search function!). I got to the airport counter and they said "not here, off-site location and by the way they are closed (Saturday at 12 noon). So, I received a reservation to a location that was closed! Then they said they had a car available for me at 400% the rate I had already paid!!!!!!! This is the truth so please be aware of this scam in Pensacola!!!!!!! I am reporting this to the Attorney General's office in the State of Florida at 1-866-9- No SCAM and I hope others do as well. This was a almost 3 weeks after Hurricane Sally and totally price gouging. We are part of a hurricane restoration group and this is appalling and shame on HERTZ. They simply left us out to dry and offered no assistance what so ever. My reservation in writing said that HERTZ will handle customer service on this confirmed reservation so I called and they did not answer the phone........ Pros:The price of the rental car was the best out of the total experienceCons:The rental car has more cosmetic issues than I would have expected. Very noticeable and long paint scrapes and it look like there was old duct tape residue directly under the driver door handle. Did not want to wait around another 2 hrs for a different car, so accepted the rental as is, after a Hertz Rep took pictures of the noticeable defects on the car. Also, was very displeased with the conditions of the bathroom at the rental car office. Toilet seat was disgusting and needs to be replaced. Bathroom was in disarray.. It was very obvious that this location is in a very old building as the bathroom needs a serious update to it. Would not recommend a female to use this restroom.Reviewed 22 Aug 2017

Offsite rental location was CLOSED when we arrivedPros:Car was fine once we got itCons:We arrived at Pensacola knowing that the car was offsite, but nowhere was their very limited hours posted. We were told by the Hertz at the airport (unaffiliated with the offsite office) that we would need to come back tomorrow when they opened at 9 am. This involved two 75-minute trips. We ended up renting an expensive car from the airport location for a day, and having to return to the offsite location to pickup our original rental car the next day, It was an additional expense and inconvenience, and we would not have been able to do it if we had planned to leave the area the night we landed. The HOURS for all locations should be prominently posted when rental cars are offered. We didn't even arrive very late-- they close the rental office at 6pm.Reviewed 20 Jul 2017

They charge you to maintain their vehicles!Cons:The car had bald tires and needed an oil change when I got it. When a tire blew out on the road, they refused to let the tire shop right there fix the tire and made me drive to exchange the vehicle at a Hertz across town. Then they charged me for a new tire for their vehicle that already needed all new tires! They just seem to wait for something to break and charge customer to fix it! They charge enough for the rentals already that the company can afford to pay for the upkeep of their own vehicles without waiting putting that cost on whatever customer happens to be stuck with it at that time.Reviewed 1 Dec 2017

Pros:I’m not sure where to start to explain how horrific of a process this was. I booked my rental car through Kayak online, but spoke to someone over the phone before doing so to make sure the location was Pensacola International Airport. I was advised the location I had booked was indeed the airport location. I wait in line for over an hour at the airport location to be told my booking has been moved to an offsite location. (Staff at the airport location was super nice and helpful) He advised since I had prepaid there was nothing he could do unless I wanted to cancel my entire reservation, but they didn’t have any available cars at the time. I asked if there was a shuttle service to take us to the other location and he advised “no” we would have to catch a cab or call for an Uber or Lyft. So now because my reservation was moved without my knowledge I am having to pay a $30 cab ride for four miles. Now that my party has finally arrived at the off site location I get in line again. There are only two staff members working the front desk, Tiffany and Janelle. Janelle was friendly and welcomed everyone waiting in line and advised they would be with us shortly. Everything was ok at this point. After waiting 45 minutes and not moving in line at all customers are starting to get irritated. The reason for this is not because waiting for so long it was because of the customer service of Tiffany. All Tiffany could talk about in front of all the customers waiting in the lobby was how she wanted a break and was hungry (this went on and on). After finishing with one customer (the only one so far in 45 minutes) Tiffany gets up and starts yelling at Janelle to stop helping customer and go take her break because she can’t take one until Janelle gets back. Please consider this was not in the back or to the side this was in front of everyone in the lobby were everyone could hear and in front of the customers Janelle was still trying to assist at the time. Janelle respectfully in a low calm voice told Tiffany all the people are needing to be helped and are starting to get upset I can’t take a break right now. Tiffany stated “I don’t care. Im hungry and haven’t ate all day. I bet these people have eatin! They can wait!” She was wrong the three customers around me said actually no I haven’t ate today I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I have worked in customer service my whole life and would NEVER speak like that in front of customers. The male next to me told me im texting my wife right now who is outside to go get this lady something to f**king eat so she will help someone. Once Janelle was done with the customer she was assisting at the time she told Tiffany she wasn’t going to take a break and instead go outside and assist with cleaning cars since that was another two hour wait once you actually got checked in. Tiffany continued to complain how hungry she was and was rude to customers. It’s now been two hours and I am finally checked in to be told they have no cars ready. Please be advised I booked my pickup time to be 1300 hours (1PM) and its now 1445 (2:45PM). I asked if they had any vehicles ready because I needed to be at my location at 1530 (3:30PM) Tiffany stated a Ford Mustang was ready, but then 10 minutes later came back and stated “nope, it’s not ready”. Tiffany was completely rude the entire transaction and kept getting up and walking behind a closed door for a few seconds and returning. She was unable to answer any questions about vehicles on location. But when I did ask why my booking go switched from the airport she stated “they do that when they are low on vehicles but make you find your own transportation” At this point it’s now 1600 hours (4PM) and I still have not received a vehicle. At 1615 hours (4:15PM) Janelle brings around a vehicle and advises me a back panel is missing but they just sprayed it with water and not much got in it. I did a walk around of the vehicle and found multiple scratches, dents and damage to the vehicle, but was already late and needed to get on the road so took the vehicle. Be advised three other people traveling with me booked a car through Hertz/ Kayak and did not have a good experience. On Saturday we all called to try and get our drop off location changed to the airport. Two people were able to get the location changed no problem. When I spoke to customer service on the phone she advised I was not able to change my location and would have to drop the car off at the airport off site location, but could not give me a reasoning to why. I advised two other people in my party just switched and had no issues. At this point I asked if I could speak to a supervisor and was told no she was busy. I told her I could hold and wait to speak with her. She put me on hold, came back and advised she was in a meeting and not available and hung up on me before I could ask anything else. Now its Sunday and im stressing about how im going to find a ride from the off site location backCons:Cont. from above: Now its Sunday and im stressing about how im going to find a ride from the off site location back to the airport with as much trouble as I had finding a ride from the airport to the Hertz location. I finally find a ride that cost me another $30 and am up to an additional $60 for the whole trip. I am beyond disappointed with the service of this Hertz location and overall service from everyone involved. My family and I travel a lot and at this point I will never book through KAYAK or Hertz again! Tiffany’s customer service was by far the worst I have ever experience. Pros:Crystal Black was excellent! The day we arrived at the north location that I DID NOT book she was a pro. She was transparent, efficient and kind. Me and four other traveler were shocked we were sent to this location. The car I paid for - a 7 car passenger was not available. Instead I got a 5. Crystal tried so hard to help me with credits but the system wouldn’t allow. Crystal was awesome, please be sure she knows. The rest of my experience was poor. Her two co workers got up and went on break while a lobby full of upset travelers waited for carsfor over an hour after being sent from airport 15 minutes away. And the office was closing shortly! One guy only was there to clean.Cons:I tried off and on for hours to speak to someone to refund the difference from full to mid size and to return to airport. I booked from the airport. All I got was scripted off shore who kept repeating by accepting the mid size car at the offsite location I accepted to pay the same as if full size. He kept repeating I signed for it. So they had me over a barrel and then pulled a bait and switch. Never again will I rent from Hertz. This is strike two.Reviewed 20 Jun 2021

Cons:Didn't get a full tank of gas and when I requested one, she said, "We try." Seriously? Well lady, you're not trying because it's not hard to make sure the tank is full. Car was so gross, customer service was terrible!Pros:NothingCons:The representative called me the morning i was suppose to pick up my rental and told me that they didn't have the SUV that i needed for my trip. I settled for a smaller one, so we can get to our destination. The place smelled like cigarette smoke inside the lobby and there was only one person working with about 8 people waiting for a car. When we went to do the walk around, there were dents, gouges, paint missing, the car was completely filthy on the outside. The inside of the car and cigarette burns all over the inside, there was trash in it, there was a weird white substance all over the doors on the driver side. I wondered if the car was even going to make it to our destination! This place was disgusting, the cars were disgusting. I will NEVER rent from them again.Reviewed 18 Sep 2018
