The vehicle was reserved months in advance but there was no vehicle available when we arrived. We waited for over 30 min in the garage while a vehicle was being delivered. The car exterior had not been cleaned and the driver side seat back was locked in a reclined position that could not be adjusted. It was a miserable experience.

DISASTROUS. I failed to notice that the “daily rate” for 3 days is different than 2 days. Using a rental voucher from a discount rental site, all seemed great - good rate of $40 per day. ($216.32) UNTIL I returned the vehicle. I made an egregious error in returning the vehicle (to make it easier on family picking me up)…5 hours 41 minutes TOO early. (Midnight) In fact, if I had waited 4 hrs 41 min. to drop off the key once the office closed at 11pm in Pensacola, I would not have been subject to the criminal fine of QUADRUPLING the daily rate to $174.99 per day! Upon seeing the totals charges of $652.25 (minus my original voucher of $216.32) I spent 30 min on the phone with the rental site & later 30 min with an Avis customer service agent, They graciously 🙄 refunded 1/2 the up charge resulting in me only having to pay … nearly DOUBLE my original voucher cost,.. a TOTAL of $403.95. Quite a penalty for returning my car 5-6 hours early! My oversight? Yes. Will I do business with Avis again? No way.

There was no car available upon arrival despite a reservation far in advance. One was procured after a long wait of over an hour. The provided vehicle was dirty and smelled bad. The safety features were also giving error messages. Cruise control and front and rear collision sensors were not working. The return process involved poor signage and unfriendly employees and was also slow.

At both my Pensacola pick up &my Atlanta dropp off, the staff were fantastic & the wait was very short. However, I had chosen intermediate SUV and I got a small compact one that was harder to get in & out of than expected. I was coming to town to meet up with my husband and I wish there had been an option online I could've used to add him as an extra driver at the time of reservation, because we then had to find a Hertz location along our route in order to add him as a driver in person. We were also disappointed at the cost of adding an extra driver. Wish the staff had been more knowledgeable about toll roads on my explained route, as I ended up paying a much higher rate using your daily 13.99 toll coverage fee than if I had paid tolls individually. Being from out of state, I didn't know which highways were tollroads or not and I could have saved a lot of money, just paying them as they came up, probably over $70 at my estimation! I would definitely use Hertz again now that I have experience with some of these additional costs and what questions to ask up front.

Everything was wonderful. I did expect to receive a Tesla both based on when I booked it and the additional emails that came to me related to what I needed to do for the Tesla so that was a little disappointing as I was really looking forward to a Tesla, but loved the Jeep also. The people were great.

Not being able to pick up my car at the airport was an inconvenience. Having to get an Uber there and dropping my car back off there and having to Uber to the airport again a big inconvenience! The car they gave me was okay, I would have preferred an SUV like I had originally reserved.

The price on Kayak was for a managers special. Which they make an electric car then charge nearly 100 to “upgrade” to an automatic. Complete rip off. All the staff were courteous but the whole thing is a corporate scam.

Since I needed a car, it was good. The counter person was dismissive, just did the basics, explaining both (such as do I bring it back filled or not?, THAT was important and expensive), then handed me paperwork with instructions to go to the Dollar kiosk in the garage for my keys and vehicle. No one has entered the Dollar kiosk in that garage in quite a whlie. No employee present anywhere near, I wandered around, found the car, still no help. 15 minutes later a car driver brought a car in and saw me, directed me to the HERTZ kiosk for my keys. She actually got the keys for me. I wish I had her name. The car was not clean, had several minor things that no longer worked, nothing that affected drive ability and I was already hours late. Little, annoying things. And the oil change notice kept coming on at odd times. It was NOT worth that kind of money.

The sales people during pickup and drop off were all great. One person truly stood out and that was Dennis. If my work was in Florida I would hire him today. An upbeat, positive and genuinely charismatic young man who believes in treating his customers like family. I would go back to Enterprise just for his service skills alone. Overall excellent experience with Enterprise this time.

Spent almost an hour at the desk for pickup, and I was the only one there. Bother employees were new, and didn’t know exactly how to click through all the screens/forms. They were nice and friendly, but company shouldn’t leave them to hang like that. Not to mention I shouldn’t have to wait that long.
