It was really good store manager change my drop off point so I didn’t have to go downtown and catch a cab to the airport with no extra charge he was really good pay for a tank of gas ahead of time but he knew it was only half full so he didn’t charge me for a whole tank trade me for a half a tank very accommodatingReviewed 16 Jul 2022

When this rental was booked I was supposed to be able to pick up the car at the Hertz rental at the airport. When I got there the agent at the rental dept told me that the rental had been booked at Hertz downtown C. Rapids and, "we're sorry but they're closed for the day." The only way I could get a rental was to do a whole NEW rental. The pre-paid rental money would be lost. I was stuck and had to get a new rental. We had to take a 14 mile taxi ride from the airport to pick up the car at the Cedar Rapids location despite making the reservation using the CID airport code. A $45 cab ride one way. This was apparently a common deception according to the Hertz folks when reservations were made by Priceline. According to them the number of customers this happened to was in the triple digits. Beware. There was probably some fine print that over a hundred former Kayak/Priceline customers missed. This was a deliberate deception. Hertz did a solid recovery job for us but still.....Reviewed 20 Sep 2021

This neighborhood rental was just as good as renting from an airport location. I was delayed in arriving in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I called ahead to let them know that I may not get there until after they close and they told me to call when I got in town indicating they were prepared to accommodate me even if it meant staying a little longer that day. They let me make a reservation for the exact time they closed, so I didn't think to check their hours. Showed up a few minutes late, place was closed and I didn't get the car. Should I have checked the hours? Yeah. Should they have let me reserve a car for the minute they close? No.Reviewed 16 Jul 2021

Pros:Car was nice and drop off was easy.Cons:For some reason Priceline assigned a car on the other side of town from the airport so we had to spend $40 for a taxi to get us there. Then had to pay extra to drop it back off at the airport. Not cool.Reviewed 14 Jun 2021

Cons:I rented the car for airport pickup. I was told, at pickup that rate was for a pickup downtown and I had to get myself there. Off airport pickup was not brought to my attention when I booked.Reviewed 3 May 2021

Pros:NothingCons:I booked this reservation about a week before I arrived. Found out about 4 days before that I would be unable to keep the reservation. I could not cancel online and had to wait for 20 minutes to talk to a rep who tried to charge me $100 cancellation fee!! Ridiculous. Won't use Hertz again. I then told her it was covid related and she waived the $100. Guess a lie is what is required!!!!Reviewed 14 Apr 2021

Pros:Dropping of and picking up was gray. Staff was great.Cons:Smelled like pigs. The Dodge van was the biggest piece of junk. Shook like a wooden rollercoaster, bounced like a trampoline, no USB plugs for phones. The radio controls where horrible. I would never buy one, or rent one.Reviewed 19 Aug 2019
