I told her I filled the tank across the street from the airport, even overfilled it until it spilled on the pavement. So there is NO WAY they should charge me. But as I said above in point 3, I will not be there when they make their determination. It is a SCAM that allows YOU to secure business with a $24 dollar rental rate, and then they make up for the great rate by piling on a bogus gas charge once I"m out of tonw. Please remedy this.

Pros:When I got to the desk, 8 just had my debit card, the lady informed me that I wasn't eligible for a rental and in order to get a refund, I had to contact the company I arranged the rental with. I tried calling a number for Kayak I found on-line, but I couldn't reach a person. So, I'm out 159 dollars and change. And, no there was no writing on the Web page saying I had to have a credit card.

Cons:The van that was given was a older van, had over 30,000 miles on it. It drove awful seem liked it needed new tires and shocks on it. I did share with Hertz employee, she gave me a 30 off next rental, however, I will not be renting from them again. I usually use National will go back to them and pay the higher price for a better vehicle.

Pros:The rentals are so close to the gates. My flight was arriving at 10:30pm and the listing said the counter was closing at 11pm, so I had no problem with timing.
Cons:This is a reach I know , but it would be good if I were warned on the website that since my flight and Hertz counter closing was so close together. And perhaps I would like to know more directly what it would mean if my flight was delayed . So just the extra precautionary preparation would have been good peace of mind.
Cons:When returning my car, I had to wait in line for 25 mins. I couldn't wait any longer as I had to check in so left the keys and paperwork with the desk rep. She said she would email me my receipt but I have received nothing. I tried calling customer service but no one was able to help me.

Cons:Pick up process was smooth. Lady knew what she was doing and had me straight quickly. Drop has not happened yet as I ended up extending the reservation. So far so good overall. I'd do it again.

Cons:arrived at front counter and no one was there. I asked a rep from another car rental company if they knew where the employee was and they told me she was outside SMOKING. After a bit of a wait the employee came in from the outside and helped me but never apologized for being outside smoking.
Pros:Reservationing car online was simple and painless. Picking up the car and returning the car we’re both a breeze. The car would not start after stopping the first time. A call to Budget and a mechanic was sent to us immediately. They drove us back to the airport and quickly provided a replacement vehicle.
Cons:The fact that our first car experienced an electrical problem soon after picking it up was an irritant. However, we were still local to the airport and Budget responded quickly and appropriately.
Pros:Nothing. Staff is not friendly and they are not able to accommodate my request for minivan.

Pros:Everything with Dollar was fine. Be warned that when you book a car through a third party like Kayak, there are extra "fine print" details that you need to know. See what i "didn't like" for details.
Cons:Beware, when you set the return time for your car (mine was 10:00AM) and if you exceed it or bring the car back late, it resets you back the original daily vehicle price. My agreed to price for a mid-size was ~$18 a day and the final cost was ~$72 a day due to a late return. The Dollar staff insisted this was because I booked through a third party (Kayak) and shouldn't do this. She fixed the problem and got me the correct final rate but was not happy about it. Again, only taking her word that Kayak was the problem and not them (Dollar).
