Pros: What isn’t there to like! Everything from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave is a 5 star personal service , absolutely excellent. The staff are extremely attentive and friendly. The rooms are amazing, very well equipped and fitted to an extremely high standard. Complimentary drink on arrival, Happy hour in the bar with a complimentary buffet were wonderful touches to a perfect stay in Florence.

A bit more pricey however worth every penny. Also highly recommend the pool complex, situated 10' from the hotel on a hill (multiple pools, Oliver trees, grass and wood flooring). Hotel has a free shuttle. Breakfast was great as well. And of course perfect location. We took all our dinners in fabulous restaurants less than 10' walking distance (as well as all main Florence museums and churches). Highly recommend this property.

Pros: We had booked in for one night for our honeymoon and from arrival, everything about this hotel was amazing. The valet car parking saved us having to negotiate the streets of Florence to find a car park. The greeting from the manager and his colleagues was so welcoming and we felt very comfortable immediately. Check in was seamless and everything was explained to us in detail. The location for exploring the city was outstanding, with a few attractions only minutes walk away. We had opted for a junior suite that came with its own mobile smart phone for use out and about to save our data. Also included was a shuttle service to the nearby pools up in the hillside- only 15 minutes away, we can highly recommend booking a time slot and taking a few hours out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Flip flops and towels included! We didnt get a chance to use the onsite spa facilities, but they looked very good and the treatments at a reasonable price. The room itself was spectacular- clean, cool and very luxurious with one of the most comfortable beds ever. It was quiet and felt a world away from the busy streets. We decided to take breakfast in our room the next morning to make the most of it! We had cocktails in the bar in the evening that were very well made and delicious- the lovely bar tender, Don, was very friendly and chatty, despite my Italian not being great! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning soon, as one night was not enough!

Pros: The hotel has the perfect balance between boutique elegance and style while being run with the precision of military operation. From the manager, Paul, to Yanni and all of the staff at Firenze Number 9 they made the stay what it was. They were always attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely cared. The rooms were beautiful, clean and tended to daily. I particularly recommend their fabulous cocktails made as well as anywhere I have been. We are sad to leave but will certainly be back.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is attentive. The lobby is very comfortable, lots of attention to detail. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast is lovely, with many options.....something for everyone. This is our second stay at this hotel and we will return. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Cons: We struggled to find how to get to the hotel by car. The address on booking.com site takes you to the main entrance from the embankment side. And you cant stop there even for few minutes - the one way street is very narrow and you stop whole traffic. A little advise to those who come to the hotel first time by car - call to reception 5 minutes before arrival, ask consierge to meet you at the main entrance and show the way!

The rooms were quiet, very clean and comfy and the decoration in the whole hotel was really nice giving it a great atmosphere. For the price paid the hotel easily is 9/10! Would recommend to stay there first you are coming for a short vacation.

Cons: We arrived to a rude and dismissive front desk. They proceeded to tell us we couldn't stay in our room unless we paid 50 dollars more than what we paid with kayak. I said absolutely not. they said then we couldn't stay and they would still be charging us the full amount of the room. We left and did not stay there and now have to dispute these fraudulent charges with my credit card. Never stay here!!! Worst service ever!!!!

Pros: The attention to details exceeded my expectations. The building itself, the furniture and objects are all the result of an artistic soul. The house keeping was great - again the eye for small details, just wonderful. The restaurant has a lot to offer but unfortunately did not find (yet) its niche. Cons: Wifi connection was hopeless. The “connection process” was cumbersome: first connect through the social media account and then through password. When connected the speed was so slow that we decided to forget about it.

Pros: Location met our needs being out of the main tourist area. The room was clean, with clean linen each day and a comfortable king size bed. Nice sunny courtyard to sit out and enjoy the warm weather.
Cons: Received room upgrade on arrival, but the loft room had a narrow stair access, with around 20 steps making it difficult for baggage access. The room did have a dining table area , but the TV area was very limited and the lounge impractical. The room was dark, with limited natural light thru one small window and a bathroom window which had privacy film. No daily complimentary water was provided and coffee making provisions limited to a sachet of instant coffee with no milk. Noisy air conditioning, although functioned well. Would have preferred the room originally booked.

Cons: To be honest, we were really pleased with the place considering price, location, and friendliness of staff. The one thing I would say is that the bed - while not uncomfortable and completely adequate - was not an incredibly comfortable bed. But it worked - we slept great.

Pros: The Market Urban opened two weeks before I arrived so as one would expect, everything was in excellent shape! The bedroom was spacious and well planned with a beautiful bathroom; luxurious toiletries and decent sized towels. Enormous comfortable bed, High quality bed linen and treats and cards left for us most nights! The air con was very quiet and we were not disturbed by anything during the night.The breakfast was very generous although I stayed with pink grapefruit and kiwi fruit most days the choice was impressive. The Staff were fantastic throughout the duration of our stay. This is not an area of Florence I knew particularly well but I would definitely visit this Hotel again, added bonus is the Station and proximity of new tram station direct to the Airport. Special thanks to Giovanni and the staff at Market Urban.

Pros: We booked quadruple room for family of 4. The room was of generous proportions and was absolutely spotless. The bathroom was beautiful and the shower excellent. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel was perfect for us and so too were the attentive staff all of whom were extremely helpful and friendly. Could not fault one thing about this hotel and when we do return to Florence (think this is our fifth visit) we will gladly return to this very hotel!

Cons: No cold water in the shower for all our stay (August, +36 C in the street) and for 2 days we heard only excuses and nothing was done. Even no discount or special offer was suggested for this inconvenience. Also need to keep in mind that air from air conditioner is smelly, so at night you will possibly like to open the window. But in this case there is no guarantee that you will sleep well - from 5-6 in the morning all nearby cafe start to prepare for the new day and their waste collection is extraordinary noisy.

The NH Firenze Anglo American hotel is set in a peaceful area between the Porta al Prato and Borgo Ognissanti neighborhoods of Florence. Cons: It was run down and would not say it is a 4 star hotel as I have travelled a lot and stayed in only 4 & 5 star hotels. The room that I booked was rundown and and the room smelled. I was coughing pretty badly. Carpet was dirty. Then I was moved to another room but it was worse. Then I was moved to the 4th floor where the room must have been recently updated and renovated. But I must say and want to thank them for upgrading me to that room free of charge. Breakfast was not a big variety. I had cereal and yogurt for the 3 nights I was there.

Cons: The first room had no internet access and there was water dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom, making the floor dangerously slippery. I was advised that it would be rectified at 3.30 the first afternoon. When I returned to the room that evening, the ceiling and floor had been wiped dry but during the night, the dripping continued and the bathroom floor was completely covered in water. I was then awakened at 5.30am by someone working on the problem. The reception staff moved me to another room the next morning but still no internet! Eventually, someone did come to the room to try to sort out the problem but he was unsuccessful.
