Pros: I guess you get what you pay for - the location is right in the heart of Old Florence, so not the cheapest place to be - all of the sights are literally on the doorstep within 5 mins. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and clean - whilst not a big hotel in terms of public/lounge areas they are all very well presented. Our room (205) was at the front of the hotel, not the biggest but very comfortable and again very nicely decorated - lot of attention to detail. It had a large bathroom with a Jacuzzi corner bath and large separate walk-in shower - again all very tastefully decorated in marble. we also had a free minibar and a complimentary drink in the bar. All of the the hotel staff that we met were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay - making it feel that bit more special. Would definitely return to Spadai for another stay.

Cons: The only downside if there is one is the Happy Hour offered in the bar each evening 6 -8:30 - buy a drink and enjoy a "free" buffet, after a day out sight seeing etc we decided to give it a go - the lesson for this is get there early! The quality of the food declines as the evening wears on, some of the early birds had clearly put food aside for a midnight feast from the better offerings. Not compulsory to attend so not really a big issue...

Pros: The location was great! We were in walking distance to all of the major must see attractions and incredible shopping. We were fortunate to have a room with a fresco on the ceiling which was amazing. Although we were on the first floor, we heard very little noise from the street. The staff was great and very helpful. The staff were super friendly, especially Maria on reception. The rooms are equipped with everything you need. Spacious for a city hotel and the hotel itself is very small with no amenities but for comfort and style and location, it was great. We did not eat in the hotel but restaurant is small and you will need to book. There is parking with a private garage at £30 per day and that includes the ZTL charge.

Pros: The location was great! We were in walking distance to all of the major must see attractions and incredible shopping. Cons: The cost of the food was high. 50 euro for a couple to eat breakfast was not an appealing option for us. Instead we opted to eat at one of the local establishments for less than 16 euro that included 2 breakfast sandwiches (large - we could have actually split one), a cappuccino and a bottle of water. Would recommend sampling

Everything was perfect from the location right in the heart of the action to the incredibly comfortable beds; the elegant lounge; the English language TV channels; and the exceptionally attentive staff. Where else will you find the manager personally greeting guests for breakfast in five languages? And the breakfast was absolutely what we wanted with crisp warm bread and croissants and a range of excellent cheeses and hams along with eggs and bacon. This 45 room hotel has been open since 1876 and has all the character and charm that you might expect from a hostelry of that period along with all modern conveniences. The Pensione Pendini has our highest recommendation.

Pros: The breakfast is excellent, with a very large dining area and lots of selections. The location is also very good, with easy access to the Duomo.
Cons: The rooms are tiny by any standard, with so little room between the beds and the walls that you can barely walk beside them. There is no room for a bidet in the minuscule bathroom, and the shower is so small that I had to open the door to be able to wash myself (and I'm not a large person). Rather than being an elegant hotel, it is a strange mix of some contemporary elements atop an old hotel that is in disrepair. The service is also rude and unhelpful. I couldn't wait to leave and will never stay there again.

Cons: The chambermaid removed a bag from my room, thinking it was full of garbage when in fact it was full of receipts and other records of my visit to FLORENCE. It was NOT in the garbage but purposely left on the sofa to make it easy for me to deposit all receipts, BAT refund documents, and handouts from museums, and my rental car documents and memories of my trip. This happened the day before my departure, meaning I have no records of my visit. All my VAT refund documents were disposed of by the chambermaid WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I have no way to receive VAT refund or have and receipts for US tax accommodations for expenses deductions. Also, a dog was permitted in the breakfast room, against HOTEL regulations. No one from the hotel requested the animal be removed. I heard on site dogs barking on several occasions disturbing my sleep ...

Pros: The location is really good. And it's clean. The staff is really nice and helpful. Breakfast was really good. The best actually. The size of the room itself was great. And the atmosphere is nice. I liked the wall paintings and the terrace (unfortunately it rained during my stay).
Cons: The matras was not comfortable. And the shower was quit small. When I get out of the shower I don't want to almost stumble upon the toilet brush. And really noisy.

The service was very classy, polite, attentive and friendly the staff made me and my two daughters feel very special. The waiter brought my daughter a shawl when he saw that she was cold and offered us one as well. Our room had a window with a view for people watching, the maid kept our room very clean, every evening when we arrived back from a long day our beds would be turned down waiting for us. The location of the hotel was perfect every thing in walking distance. Doormen and bell hops very friendly and courtesy. The gentleman that checked us in was friendly and welcoming and accommodate us with a bigger room when we revealed to him that our room was too small for 3 girls. We were hoping to see him again next day to thank him but we never saw him again. The breakfast is wonderful and delicious! Lots of food even at 945! i love the historical story of the hotel and old pictures of the hotel in the past. The antique furniture, history, and decor can only be appreciated by historical buffs. A historical beauty!

Cons: Some of the front desk staff were snooty and not very welcoming. The first gentleman we met was friendly we saw him only once out of the six days we were there. When I did ask questions front desk staff very short and make you feel like you are troubling them. The first room #145 was way to small for a mom and two teenage girls. I had adapters for my phone and the only one it would fit in was the bathroom. The Internet is very weak (which I knew coming in seems to be # 1 complaint). When you first walk thru revolving doors there is a woman sitting at a table not sure if she is with hotel however she is not very welcoming she is first person you see and she does not smile or say hello she does not make eye contact she is setting the tone and it is not good, smile say Bon Journo!

When discussing with the hotel they first tried to convince us that this is the case in all rooms, we knew it wasn't true b/c our friends stayed in a different room and had a normal shower. then they agreed to move us to a different room.

Cons: I did not like the noise this time. I have stayed at this hotel before, but on upper floors. This time I was on the second floor and the street noise of the vendors setting up at 5 am, and people stumbling and singing back from the bars late into the night was more than I'd experienced previously. The two things that were upsetting this time, were 1) a fellow patron across the hall woke me up at 2 am on my first night there as he spoke loudly into his cell phone for 20 solid minutes, then again at 2:30 another call and again at 3 am a third. he apparently didn't want to bother the woman who was staying with him, who complained loudly, so he stepped into the hallway to take his calls right in front of my door, and proceeded to literally yell into his phone like there was a bad NASA connection to Mars. The second thing that was pretty bad this time was it seemed that the cleaning staff arrived at 5- 5:30 am every morning and proceeded to walk around directly above, sorting out their carts for the day. We really like this hotel, but if we have to endure this kind of noise, we will find another favorite place.

Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Albani Firenze! The front desk staff were extremely helpful with our luggage, suggestions on day trips, and directions into town. The chef, Dominique, was cheerful and efficient. The breakfast was plentiful with many excellent choices - the croissants were the best! We ate dinner at the restaurant one night and our burgers were cooked to perfection - thank you Dominique! Our room was always clean; slippers put by our bed. The bathroom had a towel warmer with large fluffy towels. We would highly recommend this hotel without reservation to anyone traveling to Florence. Another bonus, it’s location is an easy walk to the train station.

Pros: We had a spacious apartment with a huge bathroom and bedroom with two queen beds. The sitting room was small and the kitchen was just a microwave in the closet. The refrigerator was a mini-bar in the bedroom. The breakfasts include sweet and savory and also hot scrambled eggs and bacon. There are nice lounge areas on the ground floor and a bar that serves coffee and cocktails. The staff was A+ and completely helpful. They suggested cocktails at the rooftop bar down the street with a nice view of the city rooftops. When my traveling partner found he’d left items in the safe he called to see if they could hold on to them for two weeks until we were back in Florence. We picked up the items as planned.

Pros: A surprisingly well kept and run small traditional Florentine hotel. Location is great, surrounded by tons of restaurants and bars and in a walking distance to everything. I stayed there only two nights, so didn't want to leave. Bed and pillows and everything was super comfortable and clean. Overall exceeded my low expectations, for 70 euros a day it's a HIT, also including very nice breakfast. Didn't rate it exceptional as there were some hot water issues which seemed to have been at least partially fixed after I complained... I would go back and stay there again, and I almost never say that. (they also have a small pool and jacuzzi for the summer)....

This hotel is truly a trip back in time with its elegance yet modern amenities. Location is great, right near many shops and restaurants. I felt safe coming home alone after a late dinner. Ensure that you book the room for your needs, and there are different rooms with/without pool access for more budget flexibility. I loved that I had a view of the pedestrian friendly narrow street.

Cons: There is no elevator but a porter brings your bags upstairs for you. We did not mind the stairs but it would not be for some people.

Pros: Extremely original, an experience like no other, one gets to feel the real Italia, how they live, high ceilings, awesome decor, extremely clean!!! Love the surrounding streets, very authentic. There’s a large supermarket nearby, and delicious hand-made Gelato store. Highly recommend it!!
Cons: Loved everything, just make sure you take a cab if you have lots of luggage; otherwise, walking is breathtaking;)

Pros: The staff were all very helpful and friendly! They are all wonderful ambassadors for the city of Florence and the charmingly unique hotel. This hotel is truly a trip back in time with its elegance yet modern amenities. Location is great, right near many shops and restaurants. I felt safe coming home alone after a late dinner. Ensure that you book the room for your needs, and there are different rooms with/without pool access for more budget flexibility. I loved that I had a view of the pedestrian friendly narrow street.
Cons: Nothing in particular could have been better ! I am a heavy sleeper so the light background noise in the evening was fine even with my preference of having the window open for a light breeze :) there is AC as well if you prefer.

Pros: It was clean, comfortable , people are nice and the breakfast was good. Also the breakfast room it is nice , decorated in green with paintings and a indoor small garden. The hotel is central between train station and il Duomo . At the reception they gave us a lot of useful information and we choose their advise in choosing a tour and not rent a car. Very good advise :) They keep our bags and we can have a nice conversation .

Cons: Very small shower cubicle. Shower curtain kept clinging to the body. Recommend an acrylic door instead of the shower curtain.

Cons: We saw two rooms and there were absolute no similarity with the photos. There must been taken before a decade. We take the junior suite and was a room above the economy. So don’t trust the photos. Dirty walls with dead mosquitoes on it.
