Easy check in & return, Car was exceptionally clean, Drove easily. HOWEVER: Check-in young ladies at desk in SAV were not at all welcoming or cordial. They were more interested in what they were doing on the computer than talking with me or answering questions. When I did ask a question, they responded curtly, with annoyance, and with exasperation - like I was bothering them. Customer service skills could be improved. . Otherwise, completely happy with Alamo car, cleaning, and return crew.

Everyone was courteous and respectful. Had a minor issue with the seatbelt in the car. I was able to work it out and reported it as soon as I returned the vehicle. The issue was then fixed by the attendant

Our flight was delayed and by the time we got to rental car counter, nobody was there to help us. We were stranded. Had to take over a $100 Uber ride to our Airbnb. Very unprofessional. Last person working should have checked reservations and waited for those who were coming in on that late flight...I have never had this happen before.....

When arriving, was told the manager special was for a 2 door truck. However, after signing the paperwork and paying more for a 4 door vehicle, learned they had no 2 door trucks on the property.

We arrived very late and the employee was fast and friendly and gave us a great car for the week.Really one of the best car rental experiences we've ever had. It was slightly confusing upon returning the car as there was not the typical employee out in the lot to check the car back in so we just went in and dropped off the keys at the counter.

Clerk at Drop Off point in Charleston was extremely rude. He wanted to charge us for an upgrade. We were willing to pay from the car we reserved, if that vehicle was not available, that is not our fault. We only paid what we should have, but he ruined the experience for us. No customer service skills.

Not transparent about the stipulations of the rental ahead of time. We were told two days before that a car seat could not be promised on the day of the rental even though I called a month before to add the car seat to the reservation. Truly unacceptable as that’s a pretty vital piece of information to know prior to traveling so as not to be stranded at an airport with a toddler.

We booked a car through kayak. When we got to the pickup location they were out of cars. We were stranded and had to get a hotel around the corner. Will never use kayak or budget again.

My mother was left stranded at the airport as she had a debit card and I WAS ABLE to call you guys and give you MY credit card for whatever security you needed... she was asked to get out of the line....She is 74 yrs old. Pick up location in savannah airport is awful. I wanted to pick car up early the night before and was willing to pay the extra money to have the car for more time. The car was physically there and ready to be picked up but they wouldn’t let me get it early because they don’t do “same day reservations”. It was a last minute rental due to a flight cancellation and it was frustrating as I wanted to hit the road asap.

Ease of obtaining rental. Phones answered quickly and by a human. Ease if extending rental one day. I did no like the fact that I could not change my option - wanted to de-select prepaid liability insurance. Also the cost of the rental was a bit high.

The Enterprise staff was friendly and very helpful. I had asked for an economy car and Kayak gave me a luxury car. When we arrived in Savanah the Enterprise rep asked me if the assigned car was okay and I requested a smaller one. The rep put us in an economy car (my initial request) and saved us $200. Maybe I should have rented directly through Enterprise.

No car!NothingThe reserved and prepaid convertible was not there, and they had no standard vehicles to move to. They offered a "similar" Cadillac SUV, but since the convertible was for beach cruising, that is not similar. They saw we paid for a convertible, but they had nothing for us. We canceled the entire reservation and booked elsewhere. For half the cost.

Debit Card Policy changed againI couldn't even pick up my car. Kayak did not notify me that I'd need a credit card, even though it was prepaid for on my debit card. I tried transferring my rental to a Hertz that would take a Debit card, as I was told to do, but no other store had an SUV, neither did it look like I could use a debit card. America is going debt free, rental companies, and that means there are a lot of people out there choosing to forgo credit cards. You're losing a lot of customers by not making this work.

hertz scamnext to nothinga very long line for pickup as hertz did not have the promised cars available. caused me to have to hurry to appointment once i was given papers. no-one available in the lot to record problems (damage to front RIGHT bumper). accused of incurring damage that was preexisting upon my return. (amazingly, a traveling companion had the exact same experience (except LEFT front bumper) with the same type of car on the same drop off day.

OverchargedThe car was great; pick up took longer than expected but drop off was easy and quickThe price I was quoted online was much, much less than what I was ultimately charged (quoted $70, charged $170). Then they charged me for what I'd pre-paid upon reservation! Extremely displeased. Will never use them again.

Pick upThe counter stuff was extremely friendly and nice.Going out to pick up the car was a little confusing. And they just handed me the key and sent me on my way. They didn't walk around the car to point out the already there damage (as there was quite a bit) and that worries me as I better not be charged for damage that was already on the vehicle prior to me getting it.

DirtyThe backseat had something sticky that had been spilled all over it. The windshield wipers barely worked. There was no wiper fluid is the tank so we had to stop to purchase some. We filled it up and it still would not work. We were traveling in snow so this made it very difficult to see at times. Who checks these cars before you rent them out?? This one clearly was not inspected.

It was an older car with more mileage than I expected. There was a gatorade bottle (plastic) under the driver's seat. Also, the "maintenance needed" light came on the dash with another 500 miles to go which was a bit unsettling.

Car was not cleaned when I got in ... food in the back seat. Also gas tank was only 3/4 full even when the contract said it was Full. Didn't notice until I was 10 miles from airport. When I returned the car to tell the customer representative at the counter, I was told that since I didn't mention this issue when I picked it up, they could not do anything. Obviously, last time I will rent from Dollar .....

no, long lines and slow -poerhaps it was customer problems but the staff seemed to need help.They had to change my car me because they didn't have the car I ordered - they offered me a truck but they have problems with getting in and out, so the only thing they had has a small car, which I accepted, but they didn't offer me a change in rate. Said they had to get supervisors approval who wasn't there.

Helpful staff. Easy return. Thank goodness the navigation system worked as we used it to get to our destinations.The line to pick up rental was long; waited 1/2 hr-45 min as there weren't enough cars ready for the customers ahead of me to pick up. Staff also mentioned that they were short staffed that day.

DID NOT LIKE At pick up there were only two ladies working. One was a manager of some sort. They were bickering back and forth because they had 12 people in line and no cars to give.Offer the people who had a reservation something because of Thrifty's poor planning. It literally took 20 minutes per person to rent a car. The long haired brunette asked if I wanted a midsize car and I said "no", I rented an intermediate. My rental was WAAAY over what I was supposed to pay.

The Payless counter in Savannah is closed. A sign directed me to the Budget Rental Car counter which had a long line and only 2 agents. There were people standing around for hours waiting for a car to become available. We got lucky and didn't have to wait once we finally checked in, but the car we got was not cleaned. At that point, we had been in line for an hour, so we went ahead and took the dirty car. It smelled like sour milk, but at least it was the size we reserved and otherwise was issue-free.More rental cars are definitely needed in Savannah!!

Payless does not have any employees working at the Savannah airport location. You have to go to Budget/Avis. Then they walk you all the way back to the Payless counter where they have to manually fill out paperwork because computers do not come up properly and the printer is broken. The employee that helped me was fantastic. Had she not been this extra time spent and nonsense would have been a terrible experience. There is no one to check cars back in for Avis/Budget or Payless. For Avis and Budget you can fill out mileage and put it in the box but for Payless you have to go back to Avis and budget wait in line and give them the key and paperwork. They should just add a Payless box. Had that line been longer I could have easily waited 20-30 min just to hand that to someone. The process is not well thought out.

They claimed to not have my reservationI still got a carI arrived at the counter during my reservation time and was told I didn't have a reservation. The attendant told me this was because I had used a third party vendor instead of the corporate website. The staff than told me it would be more than double the cost of my reservation for the same and rental length. I left the counter and called the number from my reservation. Provided my name and confirmation number. Everything was according to my reservation. The attendant assured me there was nothing to be done. I paid the day of price and am waiting for a response from Payless corporate.

Nobody’s homeOur flight was delayed. When we arrived at the airport we went straight to car rental at Payless. Not a soul was around. They closed at 11pm and we arrived at 11:04 to their desk. All other car rentals were open but had no cars available. They very easily could have seen we were delayed but arriving in minutes and waited for a customer. Lesson learned that Payless isn’t about customer service.

Arrived at appointed time to pick up reserved car to find twenty people in front of me and utter chaos around the desk. Two and one-half hours later, I had the SUV I had reserved a week before. Agents were courteous and efficient, but process was ridiculous.

They have a bottleneck on Saturdays with not enough employees to get the cars turned around quickly for all the vacation travelers coming into Savannah / Hilton Head. It took hours to get a car that was already reserved, even as an Avis Preferred member

We had to wait for cars to be brought from the AIRPORT that would not fulfill our reservation. Maybe Avis needs to hire some veterans that handled logistics. Wasted so much time.

THE LINE WAS UNBELIEVABLY LONG, AT ONE POINT A CUSTOMER UNDERSTANDABLY LOST HIS COOL AND THE WOMAN BEHIND THE COUNTER TOLD HIM LOUD ENOUGH FOR EVERYBODY TO HEAR THAT "SHE DIDN'T CARE & SHE WOULD LEAVE AND GO HOME". I HAVE A VIDEO ON MY PHONE OF THE 2 & ONLY 2 SERVICE PEOPLE TAKING WHAT THEY SAID WAS A "PAUSE" WHERE THEY STOPPED WAITING ON PEOPLE WITH AN EXTREMELY LONG LINE WAITING. I WOULD HAVE LEFT AND GONE ELSEWHERE EXCEPT FOR THE FACT I HAD PREPAID AND WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. WHEN I FINALLY GOT MY VEHICLE IT SMELLED OF CIGARETTE SMOKE! NEVER AGAIN!!

People were waiting in line for up to 3 1/2 hours... just to get there car. We had to go with another rental company. We also saw this in Charleston S.C. as well - really long lines. The other rental companies said...this has been going on for a couple of months. Somebody needs to fix this. Unhappy rental customer.

Renting a car in Savannah airport should qualify as a scam. I needed a car to drive to Charleston to take a cheaper flight home post vacation. I had my reservation at noon. I was in line for 3 hours, only halfway through the line and eventually decided to leave the line change my flight from Charleston to Savannah (cost several hundred dollars) and forget the car. There are two staff members only trying to process 150 people, they give no information, and they take 5-10min per customer. It literally takes all day to pick up the car and you have no guarantee of getting it when you’re at the front. And oh it’s “non-refundable”

Stressful time getting car, high priceThe car itself was niceI did not like the impersonal service and being sent to the back of the line when my corporate id did not work. The representative did not put any effort into figuring out my problem. I had to go on the website myself and figure out that I was an emerald club member and make an account, which was very simple. It took 45 minutes for me to get a car. Also, I thought the price was going to be lower than estimated since I reserved the car for 2pm -11pm but only used the car until 6pm. The price was actually more than estimated.
