Pros: Incredible location and the design is really befitting to Cape Town essence
Cons: Whether a one off or not, I had really bad experience of having to kill multiple cockroaches in my room the first night of my stay. Making staff aware the next morning, although friendly, I returned to my room late after a day of work and ready for bed, to be met with another couple of cockroaches scurrying from under the bathroom bin. Second of four nights stay. The next morning I informed the guest relations manager, who was very smiley and apologised (questionable sincerity) to be asked ‘were they big’ to which my response was ‘that’s missing the point’. I was moved so I guess all good, but 2 poor nights sleep, zero action for a whole day shows poor guest service. I’d rather there would have been less smiles and more to rectify the issue immediately, which may have made my 4 night stay more pleasant. It’s a real shame as the property is stunning, staff are friendly and I had such high hopes the first day, sadly my view changed and I will not be returning.

Since this hotel is adjacent to the convention center, getting to anything you want for business or please is easy to do. The breakfast spread in the mornings was excellent and the rooms were nicely appointed wth hotel being very clean.
Cons: Since the hotel is at the convention center, if there is a large convention in town (that you are not a part of) you may get overwhelmed by conventioneers. There was a large ANC convention in town while we were there. The hotel was able to handle the added quests, so it reallly wasn't a problem but could be an issue for some. Check the Cenvention Center schedule prior to booking. The only other issue I had was the customer service in general. I really thnk this issue is more cultural to South Africa than it is an issue at the Westin. I just didn't feel like the conceirge's were as helpful as they should be getting tickets for me or helping me find a good restaurant. I sat in the bar area of one of the hotels restaurants (1 meter from a restaurant table - didn't realize it) and we asked to order a desert and was told we needed to get up an move 1 meter to the next table. This kind of rigidity does not exist in the USA..,.the customer is always right and we would have been served. That night we decided to get up and move back to our room. At breakfast, there was mixup with the number of people in our room booking (they claimed the reservatin was for one and we had two in the room). Breakfast was supposed to be complimentary but they made us pay for one breakfast each morning (200 Rand)....an inconvenience. I think this would have been handled differently in the US. Overall, I would recommend the hotel for its location and nice amenities, just don't expect 5 star American style service anywhere in South Africa. (Although I will say the overall service level in South Africa is much higher than anywhere I have been in Europe....espeicallly restaurants)

Pros: The size of the bedroom and shower. Room service quality was good.
Cons: Bath towel had a hole in it. There was a half eaten biscuit in the wrapper in the drawer (part of the coffee station in the bedroom).

Cons: Minor complaint: The "lap pool" usually did not serve for swimming laps as it was the only pool at the hotel, it was only one lap wide, and was used by guests for simply lounging in the water. However, the gym was well equipped, so I was still able to get good exercise.

Pros: We stayed in a Heritage Club room which had the added benefit of a free transport from the airport, a complimentary afternoon tea and daily complimentary fizz and canapés at lunchtime and wine and canapés in the evening. A complimentary city walking tour was included and breakfast could be taken in either the Heritage Club lounge or in the main restaurant.Throughout the day there was fresh water and coffee available in the lounge. The room was sumptuous, spotlessly clean and had amazing views. We have stayed in a number of 5* hotels in different countries but this was by far the best! The hotel operates a courtesy shuttle to and from the V&A Waterfront and Table Mountain but also a complimentary luxury car which can be booked subject to availability (within a 10km radius). The staff in this hotel are amazing! In particular the Concierge was fantastic, arranging the car for us and advising on visits, tours etc. The Bombay Brasserie is exceptional and the Mint restaurant excellent value. We couldn't fault this incredible hotel!

Pros: The staff is amazing, they are wiling to go the extra mile. From the amazing room to the gym, spa and breakfast. The whole experience is a 10 out of 10
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Spacious room, very clean bathroom, excellent location, helpful staff, superb breakfast
Cons: We were not there long enough

Pros: Staff were very helpful and kind. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on and service was excellent.
Cons:

Pros: Initial impressions was one of apprehension as I had to ask to be helped. Otherwise the staff was very helpful and displayed a level of professionalism
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros:
Cons: Waiting 2 hours for the shuttle and ending up taking a cab. After getting a confirmation from hotel that it's on its way in 15 minutes and this happened twice to us
4.0 Okay
Pros: The room was a good size
Cons: When you pull up to the hotel there are traffic cones but if you have a hired car that is not a Merc or above then no attention is given until you get out of the car and call them. The directory says phone concierge for a beach towel, concierge puts me through to housekeeping who puts me through to the Spa. The Spa knows nothing but will call back, no call. Took a room towel to the beach. The sink in the bathroom would not drain and seemed stained with hair coloring? the Toilet was not dissimilar. Asked for Rooibos and lemon at breakfast, got Rooibos and ginger, then that took fifteen minutes.

Pros: Location, reception staff
Cons: Breakfast takes long, Indian tea which should be available take longer than everything same for Indian menu not available immediately

Pros: We stayed for 4 nts in Feb. KP is a lovely quality boutique hotel just 5-10 mins walk to restaurants in Kloof Steet. The staff were fantastic, room lovely, breakfasts superb. They had pre-booked some recommended restaurants for us which we could then accept, decline or change but their recommendations were great places and 2 of them especially we would never have got a table as our stay went over a weekend. They also gave us a taxi recommendation for coming back at night and the service from Unicabs was also first class as we never had to wait more than 5 mins (cost approx 50 Rand). KP also brilliantly placed for Table Mountain. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Cons: I have just 2 minor criticisms..one is there are no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Even though the front desk said we could have tea sent up to the room, personally I still prefer to be able to make one whenever I wish. Secondly, the air conditioning unit could not be taken colder than 19 deg and we had been used to having rooms cooler at 17 on our 3 weeks in SA so found the room a bit warm at times.

Cons: Very trendy...but perhaps too much trendy and noisy. No French channels on TV. Burned meet odors in the restaurant every days.
6.2 Good
Pros: Bed was very comfortable, room good size, view spectacular and location wonderful
Cons: Reception disorganised/disinterested. On checking in, we carried all 4 of our bags and travel cot and stroller and no porter to offer assisiatnce. On the third night the front office staff decided that our baby sitter coulod only come to our room after signing ionto a book, that they could not find, and held us up for about 15 minutes while they looked...finally they allowed her to write on a piece of paper without checking the veracity therof. Each night we stayed, a flashing warning light on the ceiling kept going off, " oh don't worry about that, we'll switch it off". Despite asking the front desk NOT to call the room our kids ( 3 and 18 months) were sleeping in, the did so repeatedly on all three nights.
Bar staff inattentive,, room service slow and inefficient, meal for 2 ordered at 11:340 took an hour was cold, (although delicious) and arrived with 1 set of cutlery for 2 meals. ( one does not complain at that jucnture when one is hungry... i just ate.
As a family we have spend between 15 and 20 nights a year in Cape Town, always taking either a two bedroom suite or a hotel with interleading rooms. We have some favourites, and apart from a great location and great room, the service in this hotel is so ambivalent borderline disinterested that we will not return.

Pros: Stayed 5 nights on our wedding anniversary. Hotel facilities and staff just superb. Our original room didn't have wifi working which meant room change the next day and moving to Signal Hill view (not as good as our Table Mountain balcony-view apartment). Great breakfast selection. Right in the heart of town. Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Hotel got the most beautiful flowers and wonderful chocolates I ordered for room decoration and also provided complimentary cake and non-alcoholic champagne on our wedding anniversary. Would come back and stay here.

Pros: Room had washer and dryer, iron and kitchen with fridge freezer and microwave. Restaurant with views on 15th floor which was good. Could order Sushi or Steak type food to the room.
Cons: A little away from the Waterfront. About 36 rand by Uber which is readily available. Overall good facilities. I paid extra for a room with a view of Table Mountain but the first room looked in the opposite direction over a building site. They changed the room but the second had half a view of Table Mountain because of another tall building. I wouldn’t pay more for a view as I am not convinced that there is an unrestricted view available. Also checkout time is 1100. We left the room 5 minutes early but I couldn’t get back in before 1100 as the computer had disabled the key. Very annoying.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic quality, clean and welcoming. Modern and comfortable, great choice of dining all at great quality and value. Best thing was the staff - SO helpful and friendly.
Cons: Location was fine but not perfect. Walkable during daylight to the V&A Waterfront in 20/25 minutes. DO NOT walk after dark, take an Uber for very little money.
4.0 Okay
Pros: .
Cons: The pizza was Oily. Raw stew at the buffet.
7.5 Good
Pros: Shuttle bus to VA.
Cons: Breakfast did not meet the standard of type of hotel class. After some days it was boring. A small guest house in the cape town quarter is outperforming the hotel.

Pros: The rooms are clean, and well supplied with knickknacks if you'd like to spend that kind of money on drinks and snacks.
Cons: I was disappointed that I was given a room with a single queen size bed. I'd ask for a double bed, which I thought would mean two separate beds. When I checked in with my daughter, I was disappointed that the front desk told me I should've asked for twin beds. There was no option on their website for twin beds. There was an option for two adults which I interpreted as double beds, since that was an option.

Cons: I did ask for one bed whrn we get to the room their were to single beds.... Well the first time i was booking at Cape Town lodge they give our room away alredy without confirming with me if we still gona stay... So when we arrive at the hotel they give the room away but sorted us out with one of their president rooms wich i was verry satisfied with. Iam not sure whats gonna happen now with the single beds in the room i was verry upset it was ny anniversary ob friday thats me and my husband spend the nigth their.... Pros: Close to conference centre, affordable off street parking, free internet, nice breakfast buffet, quiet room. One international power point provided.
Cons: Some obvious missing features -- no iron in the rooms, no soap or moisturiser, and yet premium international prices for a Cape Town location. The internet required daily renewed login which was a little annoying. Twin-share room was rather small, only ~25 cm between the beds. Only one chair in the room. Only total two spare power points. Our water bottle kept disappearing and re-appearing depending on the day.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The service was great. Nice people....Good location. They have a free shuttle service for a 3km radius. The Rbg grill restaurant and the one one the roof had some great tasting food on the menu.
Cons: We were in room 505. The toilet had a bad odour. Additionally, the A/C wasn't working on the first day but we didnt worry much because it was cold outside. They fixed the A/C on the second day but it again stopped working on the last night of our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Breakfast area needs more staff. The ones l saw were all clearly doing their best to make everyone happy but with food you can't wait for long just to a coffee for example otherwise your food will be cold. I suggest outsourcing temps for when the hotel is fully booked

Pros: The location was wonderful. It's walking distance from the Waterfront. The staff was friendly and the room was amazing (we paid a little extra for the suite and it was very much worth it!).
Cons: We had to get our keys re-coded every other day. We came to realize the hotel was resetting the room code every day, which was very annoying. The cleaning staff would miss things...something different every day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious my scramble egg just how I liked it ..pool looked amazing
Cons: All great nothing to not like
9.2 Excellent
Pros:
Cons: Air con in room noisy, doors close very loudly
5.1 Okay
Pros: Location next to cape quarter is perfect , easy walking distance to V&A waterfront and city centre . Buses at front door
Cons: Very noisy . Window panes are paper thin and air con is a giant box in the wall . Terrible internet , free until 100 mb ? Seriously ? In a wifi connected apple era ! And as slow as dial up .
Staff average , very " apathetic attitudes "
1.0 Poor
Pros:
Cons: Attitude of staffs not helpful and careless, breakfast no varieties, hotel free shuttle to waterfront only at 7 pm anc 830 pm otherwise its paid service. Have to be careful with POS machine at hotel it declines credit cards and transactions are approved and debited in account. Late check out was approved by email from hotel prior to our arrival but they told us hotel is full and they will not proceed with late coheck out and they nearly kick us out of hotel after check out time on departure date
6.7 Good
Pros:
Cons: Staff at reception are not flexible at all. I booked for four nights and had a evening flight. So I requested for late check-out at 2 pm but they abruptly denied it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service and support from staff especially Dillon Williams was Fantastic
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Spacious, full kitchen, very clean and functional. Security in the building was very good.
Cons: Would be nice to at least have some bottled water in the room when you arrive, especially since tourists are not advised to drink the tap water. I had meetings during the day and the few markets that were open, closed at 5pm on the weekend.

Cons: Hotel a bit old and showers have curtains which allows as much water on the floor as there is in the bath! This wouldn't stop us staying here again.

Cons: Room is a bit awkward. However, the price is so cheap it is expected.

Pros: Nothing. Do not stay at this hotel. It is nothing like the pictures on the website.
Cons: The room was dirty, mould on walls and ceiling. There was building works and noise all day. Requested to check out 1 hour after arrival as was so bad but was told would still have to pay for stay. Now am awaiting refund for rest of stay. Do not stay here so much nicer areas and hotels in cape town.
7.0 Good
Pros: Free airport shuttle was definitely a bonus ans the breakfast was good
Cons: Staff were a bit rude. We took the shuttle to the waterfront and arranged a pickup at a certain time. The shuttle didn’t show up after and hour of waiting and us calling reception twice. They eventually sent a taxi for us and never apologised or mentioned it.. just a bit disappointed with their attitudes and behaviour

Pros:
Cons: Terrible place. Said they would refund for my stay if I emailed head office. Haven’t heard anything. We checked out 3 nights early because it was so awful.
