Pros: The hotel is well-maintained, and has a fantastic service-oriented staff. The room was well air-conditioned, and very comfortable (definitely recommend getting a balcony).
Cons: The location is just a bit outside of most tourist and restaurant areas. However, there are two metros very close by that take you right where you need to be.

Pros: I was on a tour. The first night was on me. very good room and this extended to second night. Off i went on the tour and returned for last night. This room was very small and nothing like the first night. There was painting and construction on floor and we had to pass through this to get to the room. The hotel did call to let me know about the length of work and offered a new room. I was too tired to move. They did send up a lovely tray of fruit and bottle water. I think the size of the room was picked by the tour not the hotel. The staff was great.
Cons: The business center. Not personal at all. I walked in asking about the getting a boarding pass. The lady pointed to the computer. I explained that I was not knowledgeable about computers. I was told to key in my airline and follow instructions. No help. She was not busy. I guest I look like a tourist and not a business person.

Pros: We got the hotel for half price so can't really complain, wouldn't pay full price, not bad if it's on offer. Nice quiet rooftop bar with good views.
Cons: Air con wasn't working in the room, two single beds pushed together made it slightly uncomfortable.

Pros: Due to extensive flight delays we missed the first night of our reservation at St. George and did not arrive in Athens until 6AM. However, we forgot all about our troubles almost immediately after checking into this superb hotel. 1. Without even telling us they upgraded our room to the front side of the hotel which had absolutely incredible views of the Acropolis from our balcony. While it wasn't a large room (they never are in Europe!), it was clean, the bed was great, and the bathroom was perfectly OK. 2. Despite our exhaustion, we dragged ourselves out of bed just in time to catch breakfast. Went up to the 6th floor and was blown away by the 360 views of Athens. We asked if we could just grab a plate of food from the buffet (delicious selection) and take it back down to our room. Not only did they say yes, but they had someone carry our food down to the room ON A SILVER PLATTER. No jokes. Also, without even asking for it they sent with a hot carafe of coffee with STEAMED MILK. 3. On the last leg of our trip, coming back from an island, we had 12 hours to kill in Athens before heading to the airport. Despite no longer being guests for over 7 days they graciously stored our bags and let us hang out at the roof pool until we had to leave. WHAT. 4. Oh, and the pool is like a dream. Gorgeous pool with gorgeous Athens view with lounge chairs and great music. Happy hour is from 7-9 offering 6 euro cocktails. The neighborhood this hotel is in is really great and completely safe as it is where all the embassies are located. Since it's on a hill be prepared to climb! It is worth it as there are very charming buildings, great cafes, shops, and restaurants. You can be in Kolonaki (walking) in 15-20 minutes. There is a metro stop 7 blocks away that goes directly to the airport. WHY WOULD YOU STAY ANYWHERE ELSE? I know I won't be.... Thank you St. George! You made our trip.

Pros: Most of the staff was helpful and friendly with only a couple exceptions. Located in a safer/nice side of town that is much more quiet. Atm and money exchange available. Nice pool area and great pool staff but not enough sun chairs/space.
Cons: The spa wasn't open for all of my four day stay except for one day. The one day they were open they only had massage capabilities available (ie no facials or nail treatments etc) so I went ahead and booked a massage with the only therapist available. I found the male massage therapist to be a bit unprofessional and the massage was oddly touchy. For example it seemed like he was trying to rub his body on the sides of mine while giving my massage. The breakfast buffet is 22 euros and a lot of the food was cold including meat and eggs which is dangerous! All food at this hotel is pretty over priced. No hot tub as advertised? Dirty/moldy between bathroom tiles. If they call a taxi for you the ride is 3 euros more expensive

Pros: I like the location.
Cons: Room interior dated. Bathroom poor quality. Breakfast was expensive and poor quality. Although at the end since I complained they did not charge for for one and I did not use for the rest of the days. Cons: The hotel was tired. The room and bathroom were not clean. This is not a five star hotel as described by travel sites. The power in the hotel failed in the middle of the night & we had no AC, emergency lighting came on, which is what we woke to at 3am. The house phone was ignored when I attempted to call the front desk to clarify the situation. I called from my mobile & was told 'this happens all the time'. An appalling 'hotel'.

Pros: Breakfast buffet that was included was very well done. The restaurant and pool on the roof were fantastic as well. Incredible views of the sunset and the city.
Cons: Our only complaints were the small refrigerator in the room barely got cold and when we pulled the cabinet away from the wall to check if it was plugged in, it hadn’t been cleaned back there in years. Pros: Loved the room and it's close proximity to walkable parts of Athens. Also has a beautiful view of the temple of Zeus and the acropolis, both within walking distance. Pros: Loved the view of the Temple of Zeus and the Acropolis. The morning breakfast was terrific and good value.
Cons: The walk was very convenient, but the few shops next door made it look seedy to presence of the hotel. I thought 25.00 for a Margarita and 16 for a beer was a bit over the top. The prices for bar drinks make a traveler like me go elsewhere for a drinks, when I would really rather stay and drink in the relaxing atmosphere of the pool and hotel.

Pros: The location could not be better. The rooftop restaurant has incredible views, and the breakfast was very nice.
Cons: The beds are rock hard, and the staff can be a bit grouchy. While the staff who work mornings at breakfast seem quite helpful and attentive, the bar staff seemed annoyed that we were there. Key cards failed a couple times during a week-long stay, so I had to bring mine to the front desk twice to have it reprogrammed. Others seemed to have this issue too.

Pros: Decently large rooms by European standards, nice view from the rooftop pool. Decent price, and comfortable bed.
Cons: Pool hours are very limited, I figured I could go for a swim after being out for the day only to be told the pool closes around 1830. Presumably, they don't want to sacrifice the bar ambiance around the pool by people actually using the pool. And it didn't reopen until 9am in the morning, too late to be useful before needing to run out for the day. Typical terrible Greek hours. Very disappointed that the pool, one of the main reasons I booked the hotel, was 100% useless. You should consider it for show only. The hotel isn't in a bad area (by comparison to the rest of Athens), but the walk to the metro is not the most enjoyable and I kept an eye out for unsavory people. I was surprised to find a Novotel in such a residential area - nothing close by that you'd want to walk to (except the metro to head to a more interesting area). The view from the roof could be Lebanon or the Gaza Strip if you didn't see the Acropolis way off in the distance.

Pros: Very nice hotel! We enjoyed our stay and had an amazing time in Athens!
Cons: It could have been a little closer to all the sites, or closer to the metro station. Next time we will probably stay in a hotel near the heart of Athens, so we wont have to use the subway as much.
