Athens hotels near National Archaeological Museum

Cons: The rooftop restaurant is terrible! The view is incredible. The food there is as bad as it gets. Take in the view during the free breakfast; the meals they serve there at all other times is not worth paying for (it is disgusting, masquerading as "haute cuisine" The spa is nice but lacks any written guidelines to ensure guest tranquility. Letting children use the spa and having no rules relating to that can ruin the experience for other guests. Kids shouldn't be in the hot tub/heated pool area unsupervised. Nor should they be learning how to swim or doing water tricks. It's supposed to be peaceful. Children shouldn't ruin experience for other guests. We couldn't use sauna or steam room because it was overrun with young kids. I have no problem with children but the lack of any rules or restrictions as it pertains to the spa is really problematic at Electra Metropolis. as a result my enjoyment of facilities was extremely limited.

Cons: The way in which the hotel is new and cutting edge feels like it was put together very quickly, and in a few years time won't be that nice. Showers seem to leak water all over the bathroom. Service at the restaurant/bar on the rooftop is mediocre.

Cons: Charging for breakfast.

Cons: A little difficult to find on initial trip.

Cons: The location is just a bit outside of most tourist and restaurant areas. However, there are two metros very close by that take you right where you need to be.

Cons: I wish I had this good of a room here when I stayed earlier in the week however today was amazing.

Cons: Air con wasn't working in the room, two single beds pushed together made it slightly uncomfortable.

Cons: Watch out for those elevators.

Cons: 1. We chose this hotel ONLY because the Kayak info said a "hotel shuttle" is available. We wanted to be close to the airport to fly out the next morning. We thought we would save the expense of a taxi to and from the airport. There was no shuttle. When we call the hotel, they told us no such thing as a shuttle. They would only arrange to send me a taxi @ €45.00. And this could only be arranged via email...not over the ph. We simply took a cab to the hotel # €43.00. To the airport the next morning...no shuttle. We took a taxi @ €44.00. If you people do no have a shuttle like we are use to in the US...do not mislead innocent pepole like us. That is false advertising. The availability of a shuttle in the ONLY reason why we picked this hotel. 2. At the front desk I changed out some US$ for € after checking in. We plan to do some last minute shopping before we fly out the next day. What we did not know was that, that very day was a national holiday (the Verging Mary Holiday ) all the stores were closed. On checking out the next morning they would not take back the € currency. I told them that we did not know that there was a holiday. They said they can't take it back. That was just not right. These 2 things has left a bitter taste in my mouth. I am not a happy camper...especially with the shuttle issue. That was flat out wrong. You can't say that there is a shuttle when there is none. People from the US is use to taking a free shuttle ride to and from the airport to hotels and rent a car locstions.

Cons: The hotel is a little bit of a walk from the areas we wanted to stay in, but the shuttle resolved most of our concerns.

Cons: Location. It is is a pretty rough part of the city.

Cons: Shower tub was too narrow and hard to stand in to take a shower. Even though we were on a non-smoking floor we could severely smell smoke from adjoining rooms. We complained about the cigarette smell and was only told "sorry".

Cons: This hotel was a great price with all the facilities you need for a great stay in central Athens.

Cons: The hotel provided coffee & tea facilities in the lounge area but would have loved a kettle & mugs in the room. This is really not a complaint just a desire.

Cons: The wifi only available in the common area was a big thumbs down. Also it wasn't good connection if more then a few people were on it.

Cons: The bathroom needs some renovation. The wifi was slow. The Tv could be hanged on the wall for better view instead on the table.

Cons: Our only complaints were the small refrigerator in the room barely got cold and when we pulled the cabinet away from the wall to check if it was plugged in, it hadn’t been cleaned back there in years. Absolutely filthy (cigarette butts, debris, dirt). However, if the refrigerator was working properly we would have never known. The rest of the room was very clean. (Carpet was a little rough, but not terrible)

Cons: Be more customer oriented!!!

Cons: Pillows need to be softer. Unfortunately, spa facilities are closed due to Covid restrictions and no minibar available.

Cons: The bathroom could be updated it's very basic, decor updates are needed. Room service is too overpriced, luckily there's a lot of places to eat close by.

Cons: Very old room, very bad veiw from my room,room can be seen in 2 stars hoteks

Cons: lighting in room could be better and definitely more mirrors so one can get ready while Roomate is showering
