Pros: September 25 2019. The Dryad and Orian hotel has invested in providing good quality guest rooms, with great bathrooms. I had one night in a good guest room (116) with balcony on the second floor which overlooked Athens city. On the third floor, the breakfast restaurant area provided a great breakfast also overlooked Athens city. Nick, the receptionist, was brilliant and helpful in all ways. Best option is to find a taxi from syntagma or Omonia station and costs mostly 5-6euros.

Pros: Worst hotel I've been in my entire life. All the pictures were different from the actual Rooms, wich in turn don't have noise cancelling, só everyday I woke with noises from both inside and out the hotel. The staff is really rude and unwilling to help. The neiborhood is ugly, dirty, poor and there is a lot of drugs consuption in a stair located right next to the hotel (which in turn generates lots of noise during late night). Don't know when It had such good reviews, but it's no longer the case now.

Cons: The location is the only downside to this hotel. There are nice restaurants down the street, however to the main sights it is a bit far. We decided to get a taxi mostly however it is perfectly doable to use metro, just takes some time.

Cons: Can be tough to find. make sure you have a map and know where you are going. make sure taxi driver has a gps. one of ous did-found it quickly. one did not-almost never found it. skip their breakfast-some wonderful bakery's near but you have to find them.

Obviously wonderful views of the Acropolis and Parthenon from the rooftop pool/restaurant - especially at night. Staff extremely friendly and courteous. Food on the rooftop restaurant in the evening is excellent. Don't be put off by the location, all of Athens is covered in ugly architecture, traffic and graffiti. The location is great and a short walk to the efficient and cheap metro, and taxis are plentiful.

Cons: Drinks service on the rooftop very slow - often 10/15 minutes. We had to go to the bar counter far too often to find service - and it wasn't that busy. Service when you are dining at the rooftop restaurant is, however, very good. WARNING: There is a lot of selfie action going on and sickly, treacly posing for photo opportunities. People will also stand next to your dining table to take a snap of the view. One guest even took a tripod out, set up his camera, stood there for an age taking photos - right next to a couple trying to have a romantic evening together. Not good. End of rant.

Pros: The location was very good in the city centre, the beds were comfortable and the shower was nice and strong! It's possible to walk to the Acropolis of Athens and other attractions. Staff was friendly and very helpful in organising a taxi and holding our luggage for the day. Also, the blackout curtains were good enough to block the majority of light. The wifi was pretty nice as well.

Cons: The rooms were very tired. The linens were ancient, some even stitched together. We tried two guest rooms and both smelled like smoke. The wall coverings in the rooms were ripped and paint was peeling. This was a very poor representation of the Brand.

Cons: One night, I think housekeeping forgot to replenish the towels. I called reception and they brought up new towels right away. Another day, we got back to our room at 4pm and it was just being cleaned. We wanted to rest so I just asked housekeeping to clean the bathroom.

Cons: * From about 23:00 to 8:00 pm there is no reception. We just had to leave our keys on the table and hope that will suffice as a "check-out". * The bed was awful. Honsestly the worse I ever slept on. We asked to switch a room but the mattress was only slightly better. I am sure for several hundreds of euro one can buy a much much better bed. We really have slept in hotel beds all over the world, but never had such a bad matress. * The room was a little rundown, and below the bed there was a ton of dirt, seems like it hasn't been cleaned for a while now (I happened to look just before we were leaving to make sure we didn't forget anything).

Cons: Hotel location was terrified, we got there late at night and taxi driver told us it was an unsafe area of the city, he drove around the hotel to drop us of at the police station because he was scare about us and his safety. Even police that escorted us to the hotel prevented us to be careful when we go in and out of the hotel with our purses and shopping bags.

Exarchia square is in itself charming as a place, but it is inevitably by now historical as a centre of the alternative aesthetics of the Greek capital...The square was an amazing relaxing place in the midst of megapolis, with the alternative kids, the graffiti, posters etc and the bookshops in small range creating an indeed unique experience..One had the feeling of walking in History - and this time not ancient, but modern and postmodern...

Cons: The towels were very old, dark and torn, I couldn't use them. The street is very noisy at night, you have to close the door of the balcony, the walls are not sound proof, so I woke up many times because the neighbors banged the doors, not to say anything about the noise from outside.
