Pros: Excellent location with view of the Acropolis- perfect for drinks at the rooftop bar. The staff were very helpful.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent, with a huge variety of food and great coffee. The staff were very helpful and moved us to another room, when the air conditioning was making a strange noise.

Pros: Excellent location. Just in front of metro Acropolis. The view from the cafeteria is great. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Pros: The location of this hotel is unbeatable. Next to the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, Acropolis metro station, restaurants and walking distance from other touristic places. The staff were flexible with out checkout time which helped A LOT!!!

Pros: It is in a nice location and all the staff were very cordial. The rooms have a minimalistic look, which I personally liked.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent on the outdoor top floor with a view of the Acropolis. Great coffee and good food selection. Fabulous service. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful- Panos went out of his way to provide us with city info. He also helped us with cabs. He offered us a room upgrade as this was our second visit.

Pros: best location in Athnes, definitely I come again to this hotel

Cons: windows in the room cannot be opened for some fresh air

Pros: Got a fantastic room with a view of the Parthenon however, There are only two room s with this view. It’s near the Parthenon, 30 meters from the metro stop and near the Plaka. You couldn’t ask for anything more.we loved it!

Pros: I liked the pleasant and helpful attitude of the receptionists. I really liked the comfortable bed.

Cons: I was missing chairs in the room or another table to lay things out. But overall I really enjoyed it.

Pros: We were lucky to have the roof bar still open ( only for drinks unfortunately). Staff was really great and the view is awesome. Great deal after long days of walking around Athens.

Pros: The lobby was beautiful with artistic wire statues and a bar/restaurant with trees growing through it. The staff is very professional and tries to be very helpful (though both times I stayed at the hotel there was not a doorman to greet me and carry my luggage up the steps). Gorgeous rooftop bar and a nice jacuzzi area on the floor below it.

Cons: We stayed at the hotel 2 nights--one at the beginning of our trip and one at the end. The first room we had at the beginning of our trip literally reminded me of a hostel I'd once stayed at--the bed was a hard board looking thing with a gross looking red coverlet (not even a comforter). We also did not get one bed but instead, two twins pushed together. When I returned on the last leg of my trip I mentioned this but they only had one room left and put me in an equally bad room (only after accidentally giving me the key to an occupied room). This room at least had better beds and bedding but because it was on the first floor, it had no natural sunlight (blocked by the building) and made me feel as if I was staying in someone's basement. It was also a smaller room than the first and we struggled to find a place out of the way to put both of our suitcases. The air conditioner also leaked water. It's a shame--beautiful hotel but sadly the rooms are not up to par. Perhaps at $200 US dollars/night I didn't spend enough to get a nice room?

Pros: I especially liked the view from my room of The Acropolis, it was magnificent. Great bathroom and superb comfortable bed.

Cons: Breakfast was a bit hectic, difficult to find a seat for just one.

Pros: The location was great. Close to restaurants and tourist areas.

Pros: Great value for money, well located close to the Acropolis, nice common areas and pleasant breakfast room. Rooms are well equipped and very clean.

Cons: Bathroom a bit dated, but very clean. No issues. Room had no view, but for the money, more than acceptable.

Pros: Clean, quiet, comfortable, good value, and the location can not be beat. Would happily stay again.

Cons: The only thing was that the bathroom door is opaque glass, so while you can’t see through it, it allowed A LOT of light into the room at night if one of us was using the bathroom and the other was trying to sleep.

Pros: Staff were friendly and super helpful. Delicious breakfast, very close to the Acropolis, metro, and shopping/restaurants. Very comfortable and clean.

Cons: No nightlight for nighttime trips to the bathroom. Very minor issue though. Everything else was superb.

Pros: breakfast was great. Good selection and quantity.

Cons: we asked for a double bed, but it was two twins next to each other, and each had their own sheets and blankets so it wasn't able to join them.

Pros: The hotel has 2 jacuzzis with a view to the acropolis, not to miss after a long day walking. The neighborhood is great and the staff excellent. Too bad we only stayed one night.

Pros: Location and rooftop was amazing!

Cons: We didn’t care for the breakfast buffet especially the eggs and fruit selection. The balcony in our room wasn’t really a balcony. It was about a foot wide.

Cons: Customer service was lacking. From the check-in at front desk to the host at paid for breakfast and waiter for dinner at Peacock restaurants, all personnel were arrogant and surly. Not at all helpful. Not at all friendly. Sitting at lobby bar was told not to trust recommendations of reception for nearby massage. The room was cramped, no view...smelled of air freshener and yet opening windows onto interior "courtyard" with unappealing view and noisy air conditioning was not a possibility. Would not recommend...so many other lovely places in Athens.

Pros: Fabulous location. Booked the junior suite with Acropolis view. Much more exciting than smaller rooms but if staying for more than a day or two it’s worth the price for the extra space. Most staff were terrific, one was not but can’t remember his name.

Cons: Rooms were clean but everything was boring beige. As mentioned one staff member was in helpful but most were great.

Pros: Super convenient to Acropolis and other antiquity ruins. Also close to wonderful restaurants and shopping.

Pros: Great location - 12 minute walk to Arcopolis and next to a fun tiki bar. The rooftop restaurant has a beautiful view of Arcopolis and the food is excellent. Room is very nice!

Pros: Wonderful location for our city explorations. Great location as to proximity to restaurants. The staff was very helpful with any questions we had. The room was a good size with a comfortable king size bed. The balcony was small but it was nice to sit on it in the morning as dawn approached.

Cons: The noise level at night on the street was very obvious. People did not start to quiet down until about 2 in the morning.

Pros: It was right next to a pedestrian street full with restaurants, very close to Acropolys and Acropolys museum. The breakfast had a lot of options to choose from.

Cons: The room was very small with a minuscule bed. It was quite worn out, with lots of cracks and a big hole in the wall. We stayed in better 3 stars hotel than this 4 stars.

Pros: Location by the Acropolis Museum is perfect. Rooms were quiet and clean. Very nice staff.

Cons: No serious complaints. Expensive but normal for the bigger hotels in the area.

Pros: The staff at the Hera is wonderful!!!! Always knowledgeable and helpful. The location is perfect as it is walking distance to the Acropolis and museums. Very safe neighborhood with fine restaurants only a few doors from the Hera, as is the Metro station which is the cleanest subway that I have ever seen. If you go to Athens, you MUST stay at the Hera!

Pros: We are always made welcome by the staff as returning guests. The location is fabulous. Everywhere you need to go in the Acropolis area is within walking distance. Lots of small family run shops and places to eat nearby.

Pros: Location was good.

Cons: Terrible, terrible bed, pillows and most of all - matrace!!! Impossible to sleep. Smelly on top. Tiny balconies, very close to each other. Neighboring guest smoked a cigar at midnight, terrible stink. Night receptionist unfriendly and not willing to administrate checkout in the evening (early flight), had to get get up even earlier because of that. Would never come back!

Pros: Fantastic location - just a few minutes' walk to the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum and Plaka in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and convenience stores nearby. All staff were polite and helpful and the breakfasts lovely. The roof terrace was a highlight. Great value for money. Highly recommended - I would definitely return!

Pros: The staff was very kind and helpfull. They made us feel welcomed. The place is clean, tasty breakfast. The rooftop view is absolutly amazing.

Cons: The bathtub, it was uncomfortable, small and it's position was not great. Really bad coffee.

Cons: Breakfast was awful - we have to go away and get food outside. A lot of almost broken and slimsy stuff in bathroom and room itself. Rooftop restaurant is overbooked at all the time, no places to seat and spend money. Welcome drink is only until 6pm - wtf?...

Pros: We love how close the hotel was to the Acropolis and the Plaka. We could easily walk. The staff was also phenomenal. They were cheerful and willing to give advice, print boarding passes, coordinate taxis and lots more. They made our stay go really smoothly. Cons: The rooms are fine, but the bathrooms are in need of updating. They are clean, but you can tell they're aged.

Pros: The location of the hotel is great and it is very clean. The staff was very helpful.

Cons: The wifi was slow at times.

Pros: The hotel was in a great location - just one metro stop from the Acropilis and only a couple from Syntagma Square. The room was small, but the bed was very comfortable! The breakfast each morning was good, the hotel was very clean and the staff was wonderful.

Pros: Heart of the city. Huge balcony.

Cons: Basic toiletries like tooth brush not provided. Beds were not very comfortable. No view of the acropolis.

Cons: They take extra 3 euros at check our for "city tax" but on booking.com it was written that all taxes were included.

Pros: This hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the Acropolis, so we really liked the location. The hotel itself was fine, no problems. The staff was friendly and helpful, including calling our car rental company. The buffet breakfast was good, fairly reasonably priced at 7 euros. Overall, we found this to be a good, reasonably priced place to stay near the Acropolis.

Cons: The rooms are small but otherwise fine.

Pros: The location was perfect, about 10 minute walk to the acropolis. The rooftop restaurant is gorgeous and the food was amazing. The room was good.

Cons: The bed is slightly hard for my liking BUT this should not deter you. It was a wonderful stay.
