Upon arriving at the desk I was told I would havePros:NothingCons:That they rented a car to me,that I built my plans around being able to use and then they failed to fulfill their end of the agreement. More than a simple breach, I think it is a fraudulant practice and a business model that should result in their not being in business much longer. Let me be clear, this was not an unexpected backlog, they were fully aware this would be the case when they committed a car to be ready at a certain time. They just didn't bother to tell me, if they had I likely could have worked with them. Instead, they showed exactly how much they valued me as a customer which was not at all.Reviewed 29 Nov 2016

Better Than Most Yelp ReviewsPros:I submitted my rental before reading any reviews and became horrified. However the attendant at the KATL location was very pleasant and the transaction took the least amount of time compared with all the other companies I deal with. (Hertz, Budget, Enterprise, Alamo). I was upgraded at no charge to a Kia Soul and it was a very comfortable ride. Not bad on gas mileage, too. Pick up and drop are not too bad. You do have to walk a little bit from the counter to the pick up site, but not too far.Cons:This has more to do with 3rd party sites such as Kayak and others more than Advantage. I am not used to renting from the airport. Quit advertising that the rental is for unlimited mileage when it is not! If I did not have the extra money in my budget, I could have been faced with a very embarrassing situation. When a car is being rented from an airport location, be upfront on the selection and say check the company's policy before submitting. Or....how about just saying that local renters are an extra $$? per day. It's not that hard.Reviewed 3 Apr 2018

The Worst Customer ServiceCons:My reservation was changed (drop off location) without my knowledge and when I called to confirm the actual drop off location the operator said there would be a $500. fee to drop off at a different location (on a $130 rental). Then when I said I would go elsewhere and to please cancel my reservation he said he couldn't cancel anything. I asked again and again he refused. I finally told him, "You are answering the phone number given on your company website to help people to cancel a reservation." It was a silly waste of time. Never again.Reviewed 20 Aug 2018

AnnoyedCons:Paid for it via app....they don’t say tou need a credit card (which I left home) and they couldn’t use my travel card because apparently even though I paid I still have to pay a $200 deposit that is returned when you return the car...THEN once we determine that I don’t have a payment method they could use (cash or my card it had to be a credit card) they. Harmed me $15 since I “canceled” this is a joke and completely unfair...I didn’t get a car so I had to Uber everywhere all weekend and I didn’t get all my money back. What a SCAM!Reviewed 15 Jan 2019

Cons:First of all, the car smelled like the way hotel rooms that used to be smoking vehicles smell. Like the lingering musk of tobacco was embedded into the fabric of the seats in the car. Also, Advantage and EZ-Car apparently merged or something because finding the kiosk in the Atlanta Airport Rental Car Center was almost impossible. And then it was nearly impossible to find the drop off location. I had to circle the Rental Car Parkway 3x because the Advantage sign said to go to the EZ-Car drop off but IT'S IN ANOTHER PARKING GARAGE.Reviewed 13 Oct 2020

Pros:better class than what was bookedCons:booking system was down so the pickup process took 3 tries and then resorted to waiting for a print out of the agreement to sign hard copies before completing the process I was also traveling with two young toddlers and there was only one guy who worked at the pickup area and the checkout gate. Because there was only one guy doing it all at the garage, it took an incredible amount of time for the guy to finish handing keys to the next customer before he could lift the gate and sign the paperwork for us to leave the lotReviewed 6 Sep 2018

Disappointed!!!Cons:We asked if we had to take a toll road to our hotel and were told we did, so we were totally up sold on paying additional 30 for tolls, which turns out wasn't true, there was no toll road, when we checked the car back oin, we complains about it and we were told to go to service desk and then was told that the manager was on break and would handle it later but the staff member was so rude and indifferent, what horrible customer service, wouldn't use them again!!! Cons:The signs at the location are wrong so I had difficulty finding the counter. Once I found it, there was a sign that said be back in 5 minutes on the window. The employee returned 15 minutes later with food. I was quoted $460 online, she asked for my payment in the amount of $790. She added a lot of unnecessary things to my package including a daily toll fee that I didn’t even need for where I was going. The inside of the vehicle was in good condition but the outside was very dirty. Locating the car outside proved to be difficult as well because the signs were wrong out there as well. do I blame Advantage or KAYAK?Pros:n/aCons:I made a reservation, went to the rental car company desk at the ATL airport, and was informed *THERE WERE NO CARS*. The employee pointed to a long line of people behind me -- all had reservations for cars that DID NOT EXIST. This wasn't just Advantage; this was basically every rental car company in the building. Incensed and panicked, I inquired, "What did I do wrong? What should I have done differently??" The response: "You didn't do anything wrong. Third-party vendors [like Kayak] have oversold and promised people cars that don't exist." I never got a car. Thankfully I had family in the area and borrowed one of theirs. But I'm still angry -- and now I don't trust companies that book rental cars for you.Reviewed 23 May 2018

Reservation means nothingPros:NothingCons:I booked an SUV a month before my actual trip. When I get to the Advantage Booth, they say they've run out of cars and it would be an hour and a half wait to possibly get one. They highly encouraged me to see if another vendor had a car for me, which made me believe the wait time was arbitrary and they possibly wouldn't get a car for me at all. Luckily Thrifty had a car available, but my $90 expected rental turned into a $300 rental. I'm very disappointed in Advantage and will not be using them ever again. Terrible. I believe I was tricked into adding insCons:When I checked out, I was asked whether I wanted additional insurance, and I said no. I always say no. I rent cars often, and I haven't made that mistake for years. The checkout person told me to initial various screens in order to decline coverage. So I trusted her and didn't read carefully and initialed--but turns out two of those initials added coverage of $42 per day total. I'm trying to get a refund, as I believe I was tricked. I understand that I signed it, however I believe I communicated what I wanted and that was not honored by what the checkout person told me to do. If there was a miscommunication, it was their company's fault, and I hope they will recognize their mistake. Although the car was fine, this problem has colored my experience. Unless I get a refund, I will never use this company again. I suggest you don't.Reviewed 4 May 2016

Pros:The staff was friendly at first until she stated the vehicle size I purchased weren't returned yet. Normally when a rental company is at fault you receive a updrade but no. I had the option to wait a hour to hour and half or more for full-size car to be returned. Then when I took the option to get smaller car my price difference wasn't given then. I was charged the peice for full size and she would send email to manager for them to try and give price credit. As of now I still haven't received email stating what that refund will be or when given.Cons:The car smelled first like cigarettes and later as the day grew it smelled like weed.
