Didn’t get the room upgrade that I opted for or even the room I originally booked!
Room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Loved the shower. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
We loved the hotel. It was very nice. Our room was great and very comfortable. The concierge was most helpful with recommending places to eat and see. The front counter staff was also very helpful. The bar area was beautiful and the food was great.
When we first arrived, we were told our room had been "upgraded" to a 1 bedroom apartment on the west side of the hotel. When we arrived in our apartment, it was hot and uncomfortable. The apartment was very nice but hot. There was, what appeared to be, a portable air conditioner but no air to the bedroom. My husband went down to talk to the manager and they moved us to the much nicer east side (to a room like I originally booked). We still had a 1 bedroom with a living area, frig and very large bathroom which we loved. Just no kitchen which was fine. Our friends opted to stay in the apartment they were given on a lower floor and said it was comfortable. When comparing both rooms however, ours was much nicer and seemed newer. I felt we were a little misled at check in to be truthful. It was good that management was open and immediately acted. The internet was also very expensive especially with what we paid for our room. My husband expressed this to the front desk and at check out we were not charged for it. Again, a very open and kind gesture. The only other thing I would say is that 3 of the 6 elevators were out of service so it made the wait to get to our room sometimes long.
I found the lounge pricey. I had eggs Benedict, side of bacon and a coffee for $35.00 and it wasn't spectacular, only ok, definitely not worth $35.00. $8.00 for a side of bacon which looked like was take from the buffet and $5.00 for coffee. That's a kick in the teeth. I would go back to the hotel but most likely won't eat at the restaurant anymore. Sorry.
