Desperate selling for upgrade at check-in which is a hallmark of Shangri-La properties globally! Ditch it guys and do it via email

Shangri-La properties never disappoint us (other than the desperate up-sells at check in). Wonderful staff, great furnishings, great breakfast and drinks/ dinner at Market by Jean-Georges. Will definitely be back.
The up-sells need to be via email and not in-person at check-in. It dilutes the brand and the staff are not very tactful in how to structure an upgrade offer.

The bed was so comfortable, along with the sheets and comforter. They even have a pillow menu so you can have the perfect pillow for your stay.

Great location for city centre shopping trip. Staff were extremely helpful, and we were able to use the spa facilities after checkout to freshen up for our flights home.
We had to keep our suite curtains closed most of the time due to being overlooked by offices. Expected in a city location such as this, however made the suite feel smaller.
