Pros: I arrive at this lovely hotel in the center of town not feeling well after a few weeks solo traveling in central America. I was immediately enveloped by a hotel that continued to pamper me. The little kindnesses above and beyond really stood out. A big shout out to Jon in the restaurant. He took pity on a sick traveler and provided a wonderful medicinal tea, not only with dinner but also placing a dry brew in my room for the next morning. The rooms are comfortable and all you would expect from a top class hotel but it it was the small things that stood out consistently. Thanks for a great stay. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful, We arrived early but since the room was ready they allowed us to check in. Afternoon wine tasting a great idea. Located only a couple of blocks from the plaza within easy walking distance. They also have a shuttle that will take you anywhere within 3 miles. Breakfast was included and the kitchen has a limited offering for dinner that was excellent.
Cons: Some minor noise issues, airconditioning fan was a bit bothersome and the toilet sound was very loud when flushed.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: the location, breakfast, staff including maids were so nice. They accommodated our request for a lower room and it was well located and quiet.
Cons: There was a strong vibration under our room - so strong it made the beds vibrate. When we asked they said it was the heating pipes. We got used to it because it wasn't constant, but it was disconcerting.

Pros: Great Breakfast!
Cons:
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the decor the fireplaces especially. Everywhere you looked was a snapshot of charm. Location great Food exceptional and I loved the all day tea coffee and kindness
Cons: I am short so the bathroom sink was a challenge The hot tub jets didn’t work for us but we noted it was fixed expediently for other guests.
7.7 Good
Pros: We have stayed here many times. Location is perfect: between Canyon Road art walk and Plaza.
Warm, friendly, clean, and mostly quiet.
Cons: TV is not HD. Still analog. Bed is not as sturdy as it should be, especially for a king. Decor needs upgrade.

Pros: One of the most enjoyable experiences we have ever had. This hotel is gorgeous, clean & fabulous. I'd love to keep it my secret, but you must book this lovely boutique hotel when visiting Santa Fe. Short, one block walk to the park & amazing shopping. The gentlemen running the frint desk are so friendly, & very helpful. 5 stars all the way!!!

Pros: location and staff help terrific restaurant in hotel
Cons:
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a perfect location to enjoy the plaza and nearby sights. The exterior and public areas are charming, in old Santa Fe style. The stall were friendly and eager to meet all requests.
Cons: Our “deluxe” king suite was outdated, especially the tiny bathroom. The cold water handle in the tub fell apart when turned. The room was quite warm during the day, but the hotel had turned off the air conditioning for the winter and provided us with a box fan. The front door was very difficult to close, and we returned one day to find it ajar. Perhaps our room was a lemon and other suites are more appropriately called “deluxe.”
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Being a block from the Plaza is a terrific location. We didn't need to drive anywhere in Santa Fe during our stay.
Cons: While we enjoyed our second floor balcony, the stairs and fire door made it a little difficult to enter with our luggage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great character and atmosphere. Excellent location. Wonderful adjacent restaurant.
Cons: Tiny glass of Bailey’s at the bar was overpriced.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great location and very good value for the price.
Cons: HVAC did not work properly but they remedied that by bringing extra blankets. The rooms have fireplaces, we did not use due to my asthma but others were operating and the smoke penetrated thru so people w/ breathing issues would want to know that.
5.0 Okay
Pros: the location
Cons: it was not worth the value. it's way over priced for what it is.

Pros: Excellent location. Picturesque property. Highly recommended for a stay in Santa Fe.
Cons:
4.0 Okay
Pros:
Cons: At first we were informed that we did not have a reservation. When we displayed my confirmation the front desk staff lectured us that because we utilized Kayak that we did not have a reservation. I had to persist and pay directly for the night whic I had already paid for. I then had to follow up with phone calls to get my refund from the hotel. If it were not for the fact that we only needed the hotel for an evening because of a canceled flight we would have gone elsewhere. That day was a travel day from hell and the hotel clerk did not help matters.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel is ideal.
Cons: The hotel overall was worn & in need of an update. They were in the process of painting the exterior (badly needed). We had zero room to move in the bathroom & the cabinet doors were worn. I know it’s a historical hotel, but you can repair/ update things & keep the traditional feel of the place. We were awakened at 5:45 each morning by trash pickup. Every morning!! I’m sure there must be a reason they pick trash up every day, but we found that unusual.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, ambiance, staff
Cons:
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location.. right near plaza square.
Cons: The property is a little worn out. Could use some refurbishing in the bedrooms. Parking at night was difficult and limited. At night they had you double park your car, and they kept your car keys to move your car if necessary. The hotel dining was limited and expensive.

4.6 Okay
Pros: Location and restaurant... handy to town food in the restaurant was excellent,
Cons: If you have no sense of smell and love using your home handyman skills to repair expensive hotel rooms.....then this is the perfect spot for you! Our room (suite) smelt sooooooooooo musty and soooooooooooo disgusting. You could barely breath in the room without gagging. Given the huge cost of the ‘suite’ I was ever so slightly fk’n disappointed.... however not as disappointed as the tv cabinet doors that were broken and hanging off next to a fridge that had been randomly placed in the room next to this tired broken cabinet. Why? One of life’s great mysteries. When I complained the front desk said that ‘house keeping would freshen the room up’ which I stupidly assumed meant they’d bulldoze it. What it meant was nothing happened. At all. For three days. Other than me holding my breath. The place seemed over booked so I assumed they had used the room as emergency cover. However when I asked for a late checkout by an hour I was told I could not as they needed the room for the next guests. OMG it was a legitimate room. My exact words were ‘you’re kidding right....there is no way you can ethically make another human pay for that room as it’s a total sh#t hole’ They said ‘house keeping would freshen the room up’ The upside is bar does great food and excellent cocktails plus the service is lovely ..... don’t bother wasting your money down the road at The Shed Restaurant.... total hype my 13 year-old makes better food and has less teen attitude than the staff.

Pros: Small, quiet, lovely outdoors to walk in, no elevators required to get from place to place, personal, friendly, calm, no rush-rush. Keep it up, you're doing great! Love that we can walk to Plaza area! Dog friendly...they love La Posada as well.
Cons: For two breakfasts on the most recent visits it took a while to receive the bill. We had to ask another server to ask our server for our bill. This isn't a big deal, but as a business owner myself, I would appreciate that information.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were clean and beds were clean. Staff was very helpful. Hotel is 7-10 minutes walking distance from the downtown.
Cons: I think with the price we paid breakfast should have been complimentary.
1.0 Poor
Pros:
Cons: My room had a heating system that was not working. After staying the night in a VERY cold room, I asked if they could look at it for me. They later informed me that it couldn't be fixed. They offered to move me to another room. I repacked my bags and hours later went to my new room, the key didn't work. Back to the front desk. New keys, they worked, however my bag was not in my room. Back to the front desk. At that point, they apologized, said they would not charge me for the previous nights stay. Well....I just received my bill recap, and I did get charged!! So I called La Posada, was told since I booked thru booking.com, they could not change the charges...even though they added our lunch bill to the cost.!!!!

Pros: Ideal location walking distance to good restaurants/bars and downtown. Big room and a comfortable bed.
Cons: Not enough blankets on the bed. I could have turned the heating on, but prefer to not have the fan noise and just use a blanket. I also arrived late, had told them in advance, and was told this was no problem, but the staff member was not very happy at all to be checking me in. Admittedly it was 3am...

Pros: The rooms were super comfy despite the shabby and old exterior. Housekeeping services excellent with templespa products. Good light and comfortable beds. Many electric sockets and an ipad as a local guide!
Cons: Receptionist had poor communicating skills and absent minded. Slurring while checking in. Gave me a parking slot while I had filled in my form that I don’t have a car to park. Breakfast was repetitive in its menu. Wish there was more variety.

Pros: The location was perfect- close to everything. The rooms were nicely redecorated and the lobby/bar/breakfast area were very nice and beautifully done in Santa Fe style.
Cons: Extra fees! We were charged an extra $15 for having our dog even though it claimed to be pet friendly. We were then charged $25 extra for parking because we had a Uhaul but we only used one parking spot anyway. Then they charged a $15 Facility Fee

Pros: I liked the Sante Fe style of the rooms and our courtyard with fountain. Breakfast was also pleasant each morning.
Cons: I didn't like the fact that my smallest room on the property was the same price as my friend's suite, which could have housed both of us for 1/2 the price had we known.

Pros: location, staff were friendly.
Cons: there was no real closet to hang clothes in. The space was only 12 inches aprox as there was large square part of the wall taking up all the space. Also they had said there was a fireplace in every room, ours did not have one and we were told there was "a burning ban, anyway"

Pros: The Inn at Vanessie had plenty of character. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. The restaurant had very good food and excellent service and entertainment. The location of the Inn was perfect.
Cons: Some of the outside areas were needing maintenance, the planter boxes were very tired, and there was a lot of pigeon guano dirtying the walkway outside of our room. The people we were traveling with had big problems with their toilet not flushing but at no point were they offered another room. Also the breakfast for this standard of hotel was very average.
