1. Convenient location 2. Convenient parking 3. Holiday buffet was very good in restaurant.
1. Room was very shabby and in desperate need of make-over. 2. Loud music from bar goes on every night until 11:00. Very disturbing. 3. So over-priced for what we got. 4. Did not find Stephen at the front desk to be helpful at all. 5. Will NOT use hotel again.
Wonderful historic hotel
Staff was friendly and helpful, facility was in great shape. our room was unique with original art and colorful furnishings. The lobby area is large and comfortable and well used.
Lovely building and great location. Predictably p
The building is wonderful, a pueblo style exterior with an art-filled interior. The staff was gracious and accommodating. We loved the folk art touches scattered throughout the public places and rooms. You could hear the Basilica bells pealing and walk to the place to mingle with the tourists.
The La Fonda is a fine, venerable institution. Santa Fe has an extraordinary architectural homogeneity (in a good sense). The must have very strict zoning rules for the historical district. That being said, it all seemed a bit artificial, without the sights and sounds of real town. Not far out, there are miserable reservations with dirt-poor housing and a feeling of desolation. That is not La Fonda's fault, of course, but it is a bit shocking.
Still the best in Santa Fe
Year-in and year-out the LaFonda always sets the standard for my Santa Fe visits. Yes there are many great hotels in this wonderful town but for class, comfort, quality dining and loation you cannot beat this historic Inn.
Beautiful Classic Santa Fe Hotel
The hotel is beautifully appointed with southwestern antiques and details. Staff was helpful and friendly. Central location and easy parking.
Room not as described or pictured at all, Huge disappointment. Also first room they checked us into had someone's drinks on the desk along with other items. Also when checking in, the manager said "Oh, you booked third party". Why should that matter? Made me fell like a low class guest. Then finally after being checked in to 2 other rooms, the third room was satisfactory. Also the pool and spa is not very good. Have had much much better at a Holiday Inn Express for hot tub, pool, and fitness equipment.
Very tourist oriented. No an elegant place, but comfortable.
The bathroom was unique and the setting of the hotel was perfect. Great for spending time and walking around Santa Fe.
My view was of a parking lot.
The comfortable beds, beautiful decor, very friendly staff and good location.
My husband and I found La Fonda a very comfortable and beautiful place to stay. The central dining room, where we often had breakfast and dinner, is a beautiful setting, with courteous staff, and excellent cuisine.
I liked everything about this hotel. The room was wonderful, the staff excellent and polite, the restaurant was wonderful, and the location was the best. It even included free parking in a covered garage.
Every aspect of this hotel was excellent.
There is a lot of history in the downtown Santa Fe area. One of the most historic places there is the Plaza. There is one hotel on the Plaza and it is the La Fonda on the Plaza. This hotel combines New Mexican style with old world charm. There are 108 rooms here and it is a great place for travelers to stay when they want to get a taste of New Mexican culture.
The hotel features smoke-free rooms, Wi-Fi throughout the building, heated outdoor pool, hot tub, coffee bar off the lobby, lounge with nightly entertainment, 24-hour business center, bell service, room service, concierge, fitness center, gift shop, and laundry. Every room features black out shades, microwave, coffee maker, tea pots, nightly turn down service, iron, plush robes, bottled waters, hair dryer, luxury toiletries, Wi-Fi, and in-room safes.
Guests can choose from a few dining options during their stay as well. La Plazuela, La Fiesta Lounge, The Bell Tower Bar, and Wake Up Call Coffee Bar are located on-site of the La Fonda on the Plaza hotel.
There are many attractions here in Santa Fe too. Guests can explore the museums in area such as the Georgia O’Keefe Museum and the New Mexico Museum of Art. They can also explore the San Miguel Mission, Dale Ball Trails, and Santa Fe Botanical Garden on Museum Hill.
Guests will be so excited about how much they will have when they are in Santa Fe. The staff at the La Fonda on the Plaza hotel will help them to have the time of their lives here.
