10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in the heart of the town. Staff were very friendly and wanted to be helpful. The restaurant breakfast was really nice, made to order omelettes etc. It actually offers afternoon snacks and a cheese and wine evening from 7pm included in your booking which was a nice touch and a good way to meet other people. The rooms were clean, showers hot and common areas were very relaxing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, hotel at all, friendly and helpfull staff. Absolutely perfect.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location of the lodge is excellent. The breakfast was good to very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and have an excellent working relationship with Trekana for tours. There is no restaurant, but that is well compensated by the availability of complimentary tea, coffee and snacks at all times, and the early evening service of cheese and wine.
Cons: Better control of heating in the rooms would be a great improvement.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotel offered lots of free extras
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the off street parking was a real bonus. (we didn't realise at the time that parking in town was such an issue). the staff were unbelievable and the place is an oasis of cleanliness and calm in the backpacker craziness of the town.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I like the extra like first the tea time with varieties of tea leaves and second the cheese and wine tasting in the evening. Great time to meet people at the hotel and get to know what everyone’s favorite activity of the day! In addition, freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast and avocado are the charms! Room is clean and spacious! Bed and duvet are comfy. Very thoughtful to provide lip palm as this is indeed the driest place on earth! Location is perfect especially our tour operators were only minutes away! Can’t ask for more!
Cons: The water pressure can be a bit stronger.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful clean tasteful property right in the middle of town. The staff could not have been more helpful and engaging, nothing was too much trouble, and their English was excellent. The bed was HUGE and so comfortable it was difficult to get up. Water pressure good, and water hot. Breakfast tasty and eggs made to order. Tea available all day, and wine tasting & cheese/nibbles 7-9. Loved the cheese & wine, as it was such a social event with people sharing their days trials & tribulations and the staff chatting giving tips on restaurants and where to go, what to see. The property is immaculately clean. Secure parking close by and free.
Cons: Nothing whatsoever
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location & the staff is extremely helpful

9.6 Excellent
Pros: We liked absolutely everything about the hotel! Room was perfect, setting incredible, staff super friendly, food amazing...
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is fabulous. A stunning oasis in the middle of the desert with a focus on natural environment and sustainability without compromising style. Pool and spa amazing. Excellent food and wine. Bar staff, kitchen and wait staff and guides JP & Carolina especially) exceptional. Outdoor shower great! Loved the reading nook and minimalist room design. Barefoot luxury at its best. Genuinely excellent service and facilities (room, excursions, pool, yoga room, hot tub, gardens, reading nooks, outdoor showers and stunning views) without pretension. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: Very expensive and reception staff a bit cold compared to the warmth everywhere else in hotel (both on email and in final bill payment). It is obviously expensive to maintain such a high level of services in a desert though! It’s possible it was more confusing because we were bed and breakfast rather than all inclusive (definitely looked the way to go for longer stays!). Overall just a few moments of confusion in an otherwise outstanding stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the activities as part of the resort. It was a little confusing as we purchased a bed & breakfast. They didn’t have prices for activities or lunch & dinner (We didn’t really eat breakfast)
Cons: Wish we had a set price list for items that we wanted to included. We loved the spas and we also did yoga outside it was amazing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place, great staff
Cons: Lack of activities when it rains
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Above all else, the management and the staff went out of their way to make it an experience and not just a place to stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel. Not cheap but all inclusive. Staff (hotel, restaurant and guides) always very helpful. Trips organized very well. Normally 9am in the morning until 1pm. And then from 4pm to 7:30pm. Leaving a good time for lunch and resting in the hotel. I liked all the trips and on arrival there is a good planning with recommendations which trips to do. My trips were always in very small groups (max. 3) with several times 2 guides and only me! I am not sure whether this is always guaranteed (I was there in low season), but made it very helpful as everyone has different speed to walk or time to spend for taking photos. Often food (lunch or small picnic is provided) which I found sometimes a bit exaggerated if 2 groups from our hotel went to the same place (with different guides) and then having separately 2 tables with large amount of food. Guides are very helpful, knowledgeable, speaking different languages (I had German, English and Portuguese) and also – I prefer this – taking food together with the guests (I really do not like trips where the guides need to eat on a different place which I experienced in several place in the world). Only weak excursion was star gazing. The guide did not seem overly motivated and seemed more to try to get the excursion done. For example, he used the same eyepiece/ocular for watching deep sky objects (e.g. galaxies and nebulas) and for planets. Lunch and Dinner excellent. Very large variety changing every day with 3 options. When I did not like one of them, they provided me something else which was not on the menu. Breakfast was ok (but good for South American standards). I was in the Atacama mid of August which in my opinion was an excellent time. A bit chilly in the evening and even more in the morning; however, during the daytime excursions the temperature was very good (18 – 20 / 64 – 68 degrees) as the sun was still very strong.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kate was absolutely brilliant, the view of the mountains and stars, breakfast, the lodge itself was beautiful too
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The views from the room are the best, the room is comfortable and they prepared the crib for our son with no extra charge. Great staff
Cons: the only thing was that they offer free wifi but we were never able to make it work on our devices. We tried at different locations and never worked
10.0 Excellent
Pros: amazing place with stunning view, and an awesome lovely crew
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for 6 nights and found this to be a great choice outside the hussle, noise and light pollution of the town. A very safe 20 minute walk is all it takes to be in the centre for meals and drinks. Katia was an amazing hostess and gave us great ideas for things to do based on the attitude. Hotel is authentic and rustic with great charmade from the traditional adobe process. Lovely breakfast served daily with fresh produce and eggs cooked to order. The outdoor seating area is lovely for an afternoon rest and watch thr sun go down. Bed was comfortable and room clean with a few small touches to make your stay better. For something less touristy this is the place to stay. Love to come back again one day.
Cons: Nothing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location right on the edge of the village with a view out over the alfalfa to the Andes and gently puffing volcanos. Manuela was an excellent host and we much enjoyed talking to her about ongoing events in Chile. Juan has clearly put an incredible amount of thought into the design of the lodge. The welcoming sitting-room and wide veranda to sit sipping your morning coffee or evening glass of Pisco were a bonus. It was great to have bicycles to make the short journey into the centre of the village and the view from our room of the stars at night and the sun rising in the morning was extraordinary.
Cons: We had to swat quite a few flies in the bedroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, comfortable spacious rooms with beautiful volcano views (rooms are more like your own adobe hut). The comfy beds are a welcome end to a long day of touring the area. The staff is also super sweet and friendly and made great tour recommendations. Planeta has an off the beaten path feel but still very close to the main street of SPdA, Caracoles. My husband and I walked back and forth from town all hours of the day and always felt safe, you don’t need a car to stay here - the walk to town is only 15 mins. Also, if you’re doing morning tours, the buses will pick you up at the property. We loved it and would stay again!
Cons: Nothing we can think of.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Extra friendly staff and yummy breakfast. Star gazing at night. Extra large and comfortable bed. Warm room in the evenings. Awesome view from the bedroom window. Patio was a great place to hang out and watch the sunset
Cons: The shower was not always piping hot and we had to run the water a bit longer which we felt uncomfortable with, due to being in the desert.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super kind staff, great breakfast, specially the bread. And most importantly, an amazing view of the mountains
Cons: Only that the bathroom in the dining room was out of service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing and helpful staff. Katia is so kind! Lovely breakfast with an unbeatable view.
Alto Atacama Desert Lodge & Spa - San Pedro de Atacama - Building
4
9.3 Excellent (166 reviews)
$2,070+
Overview Reviews
The luxurious Alto Atacama is blessed with a most spectacular and private location, tucked away in a valley of serene beauty, in the shadow of the Pukar de Quitor ruins and with the San Pedro River winding its way discreetly alongside. The perfect base for exploring the desert, cultural encounters, or simply absorbing the breathtaking landscape.Guests can choose from a unique range of cultural and active excursions, or perhaps pamper themselves in our magnificent pool and spa area. Our Chef combines classic Mediterranean and Chilean recipes with a dash of native flavor to create an original range of culinary delights. The Atacama Desert is a land of unique diversity. It is an eerie lunar landscape in places, cool, lush river canyons in others. In some parts rain has not touched this parched land for the past three hundred years while summer can bring rainstorms in the surrounding mountains. It can be vast empty stretches of rock, salt, and sand, and an explosion of life at the same time. Alto Atacamas 32 rooms are spacious, comfortable, and conducive to a good nights sleep after an action-packed day. The decoration is rustic yet elegant, with local crafts adding warmth and character. Each room has a private terrace; the perfect spot to absorb the colors and silence of the valley. Our superb outdoor pool area includes six private and individual pools, a whirlpool bath, and a bar. Alto Atacama is a stunning work of architecture. Its seamless incorporation into the valley was achieved thanks to the architects recognition that set against a backdrop of such unique topography, breathtaking natural beauty, and rich cultural heritage, a building must be humble and pay homage to its surroundings. Atacama is blessed with the worlds clearest skies, and Alto Atacamas unique location away from the hustle and bustle and bright lights of the village of San Pedro means there is zero light pollution, providing the most incredible setting for an evenings stargazing. We invite you to come and experience one of the most pristine and fascinating places on Earth.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff is amazing, all very friendly, helpful and attentive. The included tours are really great, with excellent guides and very exclusive, with few people. The facilities of the hotel are very good, with a pleasent atmosphere. It was a great experience and I recommend for sure.
Cons: The gastronomy could be better: The breakfast is not bad at all, but is not as great as I would expect and the menu of the restaurant is not very diversified.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was very spacious and comfortable, the pools are really good, the restaurant is fine, there are many areas for relaxing and enjoying the stay and it's all decorated with such good taste. But, mostly, I've never seen a better staff in a hotel. Some of the best people I've ever met work at Alto Atacama. Truly. I wish I could mention the name of everyone here, but I'd certainly forget somebody, so it wouldn't be fair. You're the best. The guides were brilliant (gracias, David, Esteban, Michael, Fernandinho, Dayane and Arturo). They were fun, nice, caring and really knowledgeable. More than seeing those amazing out-of-this-world landscapes, each excursion was like a lesson in botany, geology, history, biology, astronomy, local culture and general science. It's really impressive how much information the guides have. If you pay attention to them, it can make your experience in Atacama be even richer. Thanks everyone. I look forward to coming back.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't love about this hotel.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic food and service. Friendly staff. Everything included.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely stay at Alto. The hotel is stunning. Very comfortable and brilliantly located right in the heart of the desert. The excursions were great and our guides fantastic. We were amazed at how varied the landscape is and how much there is to see and do. Very friendly staff too. Would hugely recommend. A very memorable stay.
Cons: The food in the restaurant is good but the choices don't change. Got a bit boring eating the same food.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very well organised activities with care taken regarding the age of participants.
Cons: Wine could have been better
4.0 Okay
Cons: Very poor manager who is unwilling to accommodate requests. We split our trip doing 3 nights at the Awasi (Which was fantastic) and 3 nights at Explora due to limited availability at the Awasi. At explora we ended up not being able to do the excursions we wanted to do because you can't book them in advance, and once we got to the hotel they were all already full so we wasted a day a half just waiting for things to be available. They also recommended us on an excursion which qualified as the worst thing that we saw the whole trip (literally sent us to a shitty excursion just to give us something to do) We left the hotel at 6am to catch our 8am flight and they put a person at the reception that was more of a security guard and did not speak English. It was also impossible to even get a coffee before leaving which we found really lame and does not live up to a 5 star service.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff and guides are very friendly. Lunch and dinner were great.
Cons: Coffee is terrible, the beans must be 3 years old. Serving Instant coffee early morning is not acceptable at these prices, especially not in small sachets, terrible for the environment. Wines that were included in the price were very cheap, wine list could be greatly improved. Breakfast is very average.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great rooms, awesome staff (cleaning, guides, restaurant, bar). They have many expedition, all types.

Cons: No comments.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms, spacious, very nice host, free bottles of water, cofee, tee all day. God breakfast. Perfekt location. Excellent service of management. Absolut amazing!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The friendly hard working staff make this place stand out. The reception is super friendly and very helpful. The cleaning staff do a spectacular job. Towels and breakfast are included. Both of which make the stay so much more comfortable.
Cons: Often toilet paper was run out and we had to search for it in other bathrooms. Really not a huge deal.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Bus terminal is just around corner from the hostel, so good for me to take a bus early in the morning.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: - very nice staff - comfortable beds - good courtyard (with hammock) to chill out with other guests - perfect location - good breakfast - well equipped kitchen
Cons: - small rooms
8.0 Excellent
Pros: 7 min walk from the main strip, free water, tea bags & instant coffee, clean, breakfast includes eggs or pancakes. They take credit cards
Cons: Many rooms face the little courtyard so if you’re going to bed early for a 5 am tour, the noise of people chatting can be loud. Will provide a breakfast ‘box’ on early tour days

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was clean in the room. Staff were very friendly. Location was right in town, everything very close walking distance. Good breakfast.
Cons: Very simple room, with not much for amenities. They have a beautiful area with trees, shrubs, flowers; it would be nice if they put some sort of seating area in it so that you have a place to enjoy while you are there. A bit expensive for what you get, and everything that is extra is charged at a higher rate.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Can walk to the city. Very quiet. Nice big room. We were given some information/ recommendation about places to visit. Nice staff.
Cons: Cannot hang clothes or towels, no hook.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We had 4 amazing days in this hotel, hotel located very well, staff are friendly and helpful.
9.6 Excellent

9.0 Excellent
Pros: hotel located very well, staff are friendly and helpful.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in an oasis of greenery just off the end of Caracoles. Everything is fairly new and fresh. Nice room and bathroom, large comfortable bed.
Cons: Breakfasts a bit dull and an odd selection .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place, near center, very good service
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We were very happy with the staff as we had to change our booking because we got delayed at Calama airport and couldn't make it the first night. The staff allowed us to shift the 3 days to the following 3 days so we were surprised about how easily they dealt with our problem. There was plenty of parking space, the garden was nice out the back of the cabins to sit in the morning before it got too hot.
Cons: The rooms didn't have much storage space. The breakfast was up to the standard that I like. Scrambled eggs were always cold. Sugar water instead of fresh juices. Cerals were incredibly sweet. Although a sizebable selection, there was little that I could eat. It was just toast with strange jam with tea every morning for me.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The Quechua Hotel is located very nice, just a short walk to the center but very quit and spacious rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the stay there very much and would totally recommend it.
Cons: Standard chilean breakfast, they could make a difference with a better selection (like more types of bread for example). And hooks on the wall would be great for jackets

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel must stay
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good; dinner meals at the restaurant were very good
6.7 Good
Pros: Good hotel, a short walk from the main street, and in quiet location. Large indoor and outdoor breakfast space. Good tea and coffee facilities in reception. Did a packed breakfast for our early morning trip to the Geysers.
Cons: Room has a large bed but space around it was very limited. The bathroom and shower is tiny. We had a room window facing into the main courtyard where tour buses and taxis drive into and so we couldn't look out without losing privacy. No room tea or coffee making facilities. Really limited space for clothes and luggage. room would better suit one person, not a couple. The swimming pool is a good size but it didn't feel in a place to easily relax in.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nicely refurbished since our last visit. Superior rooms were a treat. Nice grounds. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Very tranquil place to stay.
Cons: Room 508 is next to the kitchen and therefore noisy try and avoid.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Complimentary bottles of water in your room every day, breakfast box for the early excursion days. Complimentary champagne and chocolate, very heart-warming staff and a ncie pool for relaxing after long days in the desert.
Cons: The music from the restaurant started very early in the morning, and we could hear it in our room. But it was not too loud and probably it is something that only happens in that room, due to its location close to the terrace area of the restaurant.

Pros: Really nice clean hostel on the outskirts of the the town, about 10 minutes walk from the the main street and square. Robert on reception was so helpful (and speaks excellent English) and made us feel very welcome. Simple but decent breakfast and teas and coffee available all the time. Kitchen if you want to prepare your own food. Recommended.

Super self service breakfast with eggs, fruit, bread, cereals, cheese ham jam. Variety of teas, coffee inc espresso machine. Clean rooms and communal areas. Cons: Compact bedroom and bathroom. A 12-15 minute walk to the centre.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Met and exceeded expectations. Hostal was lovely and quiet. The rooms are really nice. Most comfortable beds of my trip so far. Kitchen is great, they even prepared us breakfast boxes when we had an early tour start. Outside areas are great - especially the hammocks. Location is perfect - just a 10-15 minute walk from the main street. Highly recommended!
Cons: Some issues with hot water but was fixed.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed my stay here. Staff are SUPER helpful in recommending things, booking tours, etc. Didn’t get a chance to have breakfast because I went on tours that left early, but they packed a snack for me to take, which was really nice and thoughtful.
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Flexible check-in, good breakfast, nice relaxing area, helpful and kind personel
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great - they had fresh fruits every morning.
Cons: The hostel is not very central but still in walking distance :)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good quality breakfast: eggs, cheese, ham, fresh bread, fruits, flakes, yogurt, different jams, capsule coffee.
Cons: Unstable hot water. Tours from the hostel are more expensive then from agencies in the center of the town. Hotel doesn't accept even slightly time-worn dollars.
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Shampoo

Pros: Great vibe. Owner was really friendly, he doesn't speak English but was patient and helpful. Breakfast was good. Good cleanliness, cleaners came in every day. Not too far to walk to centre of town. Fan in room helped with the heat.
Cons: Door didnt fit into frame properly - still locked though. No curtains on frosted window so was quite light in the room all night. No soundproofing, could hear all neighbours movements. Patchy wifi.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating staff! My private room was perfect for what I needed! It’s a very short walk to the town centre! I’d highly recommend this hostel
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff was gentle and everything was clean.
Cons: It was a bit cold
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice and cosy place, the rooms were grouped around a large open courtyard with terrace, so there was nice place to chill out. Shared bathroom large and very clean. Breakfast was great, the owners even took care making lunch packets when you were doing tours. Cheers and thanks a lot to the lovely people there, really nice and helping with any questions one might have. Would definitely go there again!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The personnel is very friendly and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean! Hot water comes immediately. Host prepares breakfast eggs specifically when you come to breakfast. Absolutely lovely staff.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We felt welcome and looked after from the first minute to the last of our stay. Language boundaries were overcome by the hosts` willingness to communicate. We loved the breakfasts.
Cons: We found the room a little tight for the 4 of us, at times but hey, you do not go to Atacama to spend the time in the room.

Pros: Secure parking for moto. Decent sized room. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: A bit of a walk to town. WiFi was a bit weak in room.
7.5 Good
Pros: - The rooms are very clean - There is a heating in the room - You can use the kitchen
Cons: - For the price the breakfast should be included - First they wanted to charge us the taxes, although I talked with them before our stay and they told us, we don‘t have to pay it. Fortunately in the end we didn‘t have to pay it - On the second day they told us, that we are too loud in the night, but the walls are so thin, that you can hear any noise of your neighbours
10.0 Excellent
Pros: EVERYTHING !! Monica is extremely friendly and made us feel like home The kitchen is super well equiped The room is super clean, quiet and cleaned everyday 5min from the center
Cons: Wifi not very good
5.4 Okay
Pros: One positive thing was it was semi- central to the town center.
Cons: I had around 200 dollars stolen from my bag that I had left in our private room. Although the door was locked, the cleaning service comes in daily and stole my money. Unfortunately the rooms are not equipped with safe boxes and there are no security cameras. The owner didnt do much about it and just expressed pity about the situation. I wouldn't recommend this hotel as safety of personal belongings is very important for any traveler and you should feel safe leaving your belongings in your room. I also dont recommend the tour prices given there as they were very expensive and I found cheaper offers in the center.

Pros: Very clean. Located near the bus terminal.
Cons: There were no lockers in the room, although advertised as such. Gustavo was a wierd individual, unpleasant to be around. My stuff was moved around everyday in the dorm room (during cleaning) but nothing missing. You are not allowed to use the main entrance, just the garage. One public washroom for the dorm room, so you could wait for awhile. There are other better hostels around the area or even nearer to town at better prices. Bring USD, the exchange rate quoted for conversion during payment is terrible!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great accommodation... There is all you need in there and Gustavo is great host.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: For Atacama the place is good value for money, and the manager Gustavo is a really funny and helpful person
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This lovely little place was a great find! It was comfortable and colourful and just full of friendly faces, Gustavo is simply fabulous, he was warm and funny and couldn’t do enough for us. Made us feel really welcome! Great breakfast facilities and what a lovely little sun trap the terrace was! Sitting there in the afternoon was bliss. The WiFi was great, which was much needed during a nightmare part of our trip that saw us rebooking flights and changing hotels etc! Couldn’t ask for anything more with this place honestly.
Cons: Nothing!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The host Gustavo is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the breakfast good. The overall atmosphere made us feel very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It's a clean, comfortable hostel with one shower/bathroom to share but due to everyones different schedules it wasn't an issue. Its located 10mins walk from the city with no street noise.

7.1 Good
Pros: The hostel is clean and comfortable, and we were kindly provided with a good self-service breakfast very early in the morning before our tours to El Tatio Geysers and Las Lagunas Altiplanicas. Potable water is available in a dispenser 24/7 which is VERY useful in the desert, and the staff let us return to the hostel to shower after a tour on our final day in San Pedro even though we had checked out hours before which was much appreciated.
Cons: This hostel is not bad. Celia (who I think is the owner) was very helpful and friendly, however we were unfortunately made to feel like a bit of a nuisance when we asked one of the other members of staff for help with booking a taxi to the bus station at the end of our stay. Since the hostel is also a good 10 minute walk from the centre of San Pedro, we cannot justify rating higher than 7/10.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely clean, filtered water available at all times, amazing breakfast and super helpful staff. Would highly recommend Hostal Pablito to my friends and family.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff & good breakfast

Cons: - Shower temperature is very inconsistent - One day no hot water at all - very soft beds - not very soundproof - you can pay with credit card but with a heavy fee
10.0 Excellent

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super nice staff! Very polite and friendly (despite the language barrier). The host Guillermo helped us check on the airport transfer. There was no problem with the late check-in either. The hostel is very cosy, clean and just right! Slightly on the outside of San Pedro, but no more than 10 mins walk from the center.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The best bed in town. The comfort of arriving from a tired tour, showering and lying in that bed made my days happier.
Cons: A little away from the center. Getting tired of the tour and having to walk there gave a certain dismay.
7.9 Good
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Fit for purpose. The reception didn’t know about my booking so had to charge me the amount from my own copy of the confirmation, but it was no great drama and she was very polite. A 10 min walk from the center with comfortable beds, a place to relax and soft towels. Breakfast was simple but perfectly fine.
Cons: 90 quid for 2 nights was a bit rich but I booked last minute and it’s San Pedro...
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were super nice and always available to help! They would leave breakfast for early tours which was pretty comfortable
Cons: Nothing , everything was lovely
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, silent place, comfortable bed, easy to reach, large bedroom. Good communication with staff, very friendly
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very affordable accommodations. Host was absolutely lovely but didn't speak much English if that is a barrier at all. This is pretty in line with most of our encounters in Atacama though and we spoke enough to get by!
Cons: A little far from the main center and we weren't super comfortable walking around in the dark with nobody around. There is nothing quick around the hostel in terms of food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was outstanding, staff and owner very friendly and helpful, would have liked to extend our stay, but unfortunately the hostal was fully booked.
