Breakfast was delicious (even had a breakfast extra of fresh raspberries on the table each day!). I'm coeliac so have to research gluten-free availability when travelling. Jane and John checked carefully what I could eat, provided excellent gluten-free cereal and bread and went the extra mile by buying a new toaster while I was there to avoid cross-contamination!!). John provided lots of helpful local information and directions and gave us a card that obtained a discount at one of the restaurants I had pre-booked. I'd definitely stay again if visiting the area.

Cons: The Wi-Fi / Internet was slow and didn't reach the bedrooms which for an IT company we notice straight away when trying to watch Netflix etc. but not the end of the world in reality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean, comfortable, spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished appartment. Welcome hamper was a lovely and very welcome touch - thank you, Rachael! You were so helpful and arranged for us to access the property early. Views over a large, lovely park. Within easy walking distance of town centre, cinema, swimming pool.
Cons: No negatives whatsoever.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing. Note 3rd floor access is up spiral staircase and 71 steps

Pros: Wonderful scottish breakfast :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, and location. This would be a good spot for exploring this area and the guest house had a delightful garden in which to relax. It was a perfect stop over and we would have been happy to spend several days there. The photos did not do justice to the garden!
7.1 Good
Pros: As I didn’t require breakfast a packed lunch was supplied and was very much appreciated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We found the owner so friendly and the whole place beautifully equipped. there were a number of places to get evening meals within easy reach. It was also handy for stopping off on a journey using the A9.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved their beautiful garden. They were a very nice couple. Location was perfect. Breakfast i would give a 10/10 . We will certainly be going back there again. Brenda has beautiful hand made crafts for sale. A beautiful house. Nicely decorated.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast and a very clean room. Can't fault it for the price
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are very friendly and accommodating - made for a great stay! They cook delicious breakfast every day for you, made to order and at a selected time! Our room was spacious, comfy and had everything we needed. Great place to stay and highly recommended!
Cons: Not much comes to my mind. Obviously this is a small town, so only makes sense if you have a car and looking to be a bit away from the large "tourist traps" around. It's about 1 hour drive away from Edinburgh and maybe 10-15 mins drive from Perth. Local attractions and options for food are limited (although there's a decent pub across the street), so you will most likely find yourself covering a fair amount of mileage every day, depending on your plans. It worked for us because our main focus was the national parks around (though still it meant 100+ miles driving every day)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Breakfast, great hosts

9.2 Excellent
Pros: I was staying for a wedding in Errol. The accommodation was very convenient for the venue. There were taxi numbers provided in the accommodation, I would highly recommend you pre-book if you are attending a wedding in the area. We received a very warm welcome to the Courtyard but the accommodation is self contained giving privacy also. The shower was amazing!
Cons: Given we were attending a wedding the night we stayed, a slightly later check-out of 10.30/11am would have been appreciated.

6.0 Good
Pros: Good choice for breakfast.
Cons: My given room was in a lonely and isolated place in an almost empty hotel, a remote corner of the third floor, up extra flights and along corridors .(room 307) The t.v. was poor, not even B.B.C. 2 was available. No staff on Reception in the morning, just a box saying "Put hotel keys here." Poor P.R.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent choice of fresh fruit at breakfast, that I haven't seen at other hotels. Food in the Reid restaurant was very good too.
Cons: The outlook from our room (326) was over bin storage area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was historic and very friendly and good value
Cons: Nothing
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Out dated needs a lot of money to sort out
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was perfect and the price was reasonable
Cons: On booking we were informed that we get a free drink. When we arrived we were told it was only if you purchase a meal. The bed was not comfortable, the room seemed to smell a little fusty. As we were on the street side of the hotel it was noisy especially in the morning from around 5.30 am.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fast and many choices.
Cons: Gotta get the water pressure higher in family room shower. Took too long for us all to shower. If 200 people have an event at your hotel there are still others who are customers who will need assistance. An extra staff person would really have been appreciated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: The view
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location.Breakfast.Room.
Cons: All was fine.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Staff friendly. Breakfast OK.
Cons: Constantly worried and stressing about topping up parking meter. On street parking max 1 hour. Nightmare. Other car parks max 4 hrs constant running to top up meter. In this day and age a car park is essential. This cost us an additional £30 and time hassle and stress. Rooms tired and very noisy floorboards. Cheap quality beds. A place for old people as we were youngest in there.£184 quid for the pleasure. Would not go back there. Building at back very ramshackle and building held together with metal sheet roofing.

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful and the dining room was a more comfortable place. The food for dinner and breakfast was good. The room was clean.

Cons: Mould in bathroom, an old kettle and then shower was awful hardly any power took ages to get shampoo out my hair
6.3 Good
Pros: Comfort
Cons: Being charged twice at check in, not had a refund.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast was not a great experience, Bad lay out, No Orange juice, No yoghurts, Old domestic toasters took forever. Why is the butter not next to the bread section, Juices at the end instead of the start, Etc. 2 Calls to reception and over half an hour to get Plug for the Bath, just about made us late for an event we were going to. The room was small and tired looking, not what we expected for the price.... Room 111
7.9 Good
Pros: Centrally located with helpful staff who made the stay very pleasant and straightforward. The staff are also trying to make the best of the tired surroundings and facilities although the room was clean and fresh
Cons: The rooms and decor definitely need an update as it hasn't changed much since my last stay about 5 years ago
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location. Nice atmosphere.
Cons: room sound proofing could be better. Could hear people in next room talking until 3am1
6.3 Good
Pros: I liked the good location and the comfy beds and pillows. The staff were pleasant too.
Cons: We were awoken at 0630 by a very noisy guest next door having a ridiculously loud conversation. Thereafter woken by the guest above us sounding like a herd of elephants. Ended up having to phone reception and complain, walls are too thin! Worst sleep ever :(
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very well situated, central. Staff very friendly and professional. loved the mill race water that runs through and under the building excellent feature. Poss starting to show its age, a little T L C in certain areas.
Cons: No literature to read in room about the hotel [ only found it on TV on day of departure ] but not very detailed of what was offered. Meals, dining times etc.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Centrally Located

Overview Reviews
With a stay at New County Hotel in Perth, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Perth Racecourse and Scone Palace. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
6.0 Good
Cons: The power cut
5.0 Okay
Cons: the receptionist was wearing a dirty tshirt and was not very helpfull
5.4 Okay
Pros: A friendly and welcoming check-in.
Cons: As you check in, the bar and restaurant look smart but as soon as you pass through the door to the rooms the carpets are worn and the walls scuffed and marked. My room was similar. Also, the TV didn't work, there was no central heating despite it being cold, and in the morning there was no hot water. Continental breakfast was unappetising with cheap ham and ageing fruit. Perth has lots of accommodation, pay only a little more for much higher standards.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Bed comfort and location
Cons: Had overnight stay wednesday 2nd October 2019. very disappointed to say the least no hot water leaking sink damp walls Carpets and general decor drab and dated in need of some desperate modernisation. Continental breakfast very basic had requested gluten free bread none available poor choice of meat and cheese .
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: The room had large patches of damp, there was no hot water and no heating until they gave us a small convector heater and blankets as there were none. None of the windows closed properly and the door had to be kicked at the base to open it. Downstairs, the disabled toilet was out of order and although the ground floor looks perfectly fine, upstairs is an absolute disgrace. We left a day early and would have left the first night had we somewhere else to go. My son has tried to contact the Manager without success and I am astonished this dump is being shown on your site as something other than what it is.
6.0 Good
Pros: The staff were helpful.
Cons: Jimmy only does one day a week now! Poor, lumpy pillows. Fitted sheets needed on beds. The place needs a full revamp.
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast and evening meal excellent.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean well equipped with comfortable bed ,great location walking distance to shops bars ect
Cons: Only downside was no lift up to bedroom.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Lovely reception and bar dining room.
Cons: Staircase carpet getting threadbare. Hotel room bathroom needs redone
5.0 Okay
Pros: The proximity of the hotel
Cons: The room needs updated, We were not told any where that the breakfast was continental much to my disgust when we went for breakfast on the Saturday. Not happy as we had paid for breakfast and I certainly was not paying another £8.95. COME ON A SCOTTISH HOTEL SERVING CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST ALL THE GUESTS WERE MOSTLY SOTTISH ENGLISH. WE WILL CERTAINLY NOT BE BACK.
