Cons: The front step coming into the entrance needs fixing to meet Engliah speaking country standards as most of the guests appear to come from overseas. I have slipped off it several times. There has only been a fresh fruit platter at breakfast once out of four mornings. The bread rolls could be varied. The cereals are all refined so I have gone and bought my own.

Pros: Everyone was friendly , the breakfast was amazing, bed comfortable and quiet! I booked this literally last minute after I escaped from a gross hotel on my tour. They welcomed me with open arms and even left a surprise bottle of Prosecco in the room for New Years. So helpful and friendly. And as a woman traveling alone it makes a huge difference. And the breakfast was so good I could have eaten it 3x a day.

Pros: The Artemisia was a gem. Great location with walking distance to many great restaurants, the old city and main shopping district of Palermo. The staff were excellent with help and advice. We managed to park our car right outside and being a Sunday, it was free. Then when paid parking kicked in on the Monday, again the staff were extremely helpful. The included breakfast was varied and very satisfying. All in all, one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in on our month in Italy.

Cons: Tv, safe, elevaotor didn't work. Walls VERY thin. Confused our day of check out but hotel didn't say anything until after we checked out. Once we realized our error, requested refund, they said no so then we we said it was our room and we may come back. They later texted that we made them lose a customer because we didn't go back....so they wanted to be paid for the room twice.

Pros: The room and the property were great and well located.
Cons: Our card was billed twice, with the second being hundreds more than the room cost. When we tried to speak with them about it, they kept showing that they hadn’t. We were only there one night, so we ended up continuing to follow up over email. A week or so later, we sent sufficient evidence for them that they had tremendously over billed us, and all we got in reply was “Sorry, our mistake.” We were managing a long complicated trip, so not being able to trust accurate billing or a thoughtful follow up from the hotel was a big deal. The hotel was great as was the breakfast, but this was a notably negative experience.

We changed rooms from fancy and newly renovated to older ones because of the incredible noise that was coming from the street bars well after midnight. Receptionists were super nice- and we got early Check in as well. Llocation was good- quick walk into the city and to the shuttle bus for airport.

Cons: We should have been informed at check-in about that there was no hot water and no heat. We overheard a guest complaining at check-in and we where sold that it was resolved and everything would be OK within a few hours. To add insult to injury I was given a room that did not resemble anything that I booked although immediately after complaining I was shown another room that was what I did book. (And it was spectacular.) But this new room was cold, very cold, we went out to diner and when we returned a couple of hours later it was still cold. They did immediately help by providing us another room that was much hotter. I understand that issues such as this happens, what I find distasteful was that the gentleman at check-in downplayed it and was deceptive about reality. We should have been informed and allowed us to have a choice.

Cons: In my room the wifi signal was too weak, I had no internet at all. Minibar with drinks only. Parking near to the hotel is almost not possible. We left a car near to the water, approx. 0.5 km away, and it seem we were very lucky.

Cons: Our double bed was consisted of 2 single beds which didn’t have a stop on their rollers, so they were seperating all the time.

Cons: Breakfast was not up to 4* hotel, the choise of poultry (for example) was not there at all. Only sweet cakes (which were tasty though), and very limited cheese selection. Also breakfast until 10am only (on Jan 1 or on Sunday), that’s too early! Wi-fi signal was “jumpy” and not always present. Phone in the room was not working to call reception. TV had no signal in one room (but did have in another one). No view at all from any of rooms- if you see street and abandoned building but you have balcony, you don’t sleep because of the noise, but if you face a yard, your view is opposite glass wall. No space for extra bed in the room for kid above age of 6 years. Service personell walking around and showing you facilies in painters clothes- all dirty with paint. Jacuzzi turned out to be a big bath in a cold room and you’d need to pay extra 15€/hour even for kids. So, for family of 4 or more that would be very expensive fun- 60€/hr for a common bath! We thought that it’s totally unreasonable.

Cons: breakfast -monday 30 dec - they ran out of 'real' juice (stuff from the machine was terrible) and there was no fresh fruit except halves of kiwis. (no oranges in sicily, in prime orange season?) they had both the day before. room 303 (and others in same position): if offered this, ask to move. this room should not be sold. its only natural light is through outside stone staircase, so v dark. also zero privacy, if you open curtains, as platform outside room is used by cleaners and maintenance staff for their equipment. so they start moving it all around early, then use the corridor outside your room to park it and have loud conversations.

Broken wells next to the room doors from inside sometimes preventing to close the door ať all as the parts of the wall falls between door and wall. Also aircindition did not work. It only heated the room to 30 degrees impossible to turn it off. Window had to be opened to keep the temperature in normal. Unfortunately right behind the window is stairs where people walk 1m from your bed and can even look into your room how you sleep. Breakfest was average. No real cafee. Some kind of nescafe there. Rather cheep low cost salami chees and other ingredientes used.

The room was spacious and bright, the onsite parking was gated and just behind the building, with the interior walls decorated (at the hotel's request) by local graffiti artists. the real find was the hotel terrace, with its view of Palermo's port area. We enjoyed after dinner drinks while watching the ferries load and unload. The breakfast buffet was abundant and varied, with different pastries each day. We were within easy walking distance of shopping and restaurants as well as the historic zone. We were also close to a main bus hub, useful when you tire of walking.

Room was ‘renovated’ but needed renovation! Ate once in restaurant for dinner. Worse (and overpriced) meal in Sicily and waited one hour to be served (but quiet night). As staff both in restaurant and front desk did not speak English, complaint fell on deaf ears. Booked hotel as major feature was swimming pool. Pool closed one week before our stay despite daily temps of 27degrees Celsius. Parking pot luck outside hotel where African males frighten patrons demanding money to park their cars.

Cons: The worst restaurant service I have experienced in a long while. I had to ask three people for the drink I ordered. 20 minutes to arrive. Service was slow. I had to ask for salt several times before getting a couple of tear-open envelopes of salt. I left the restaurant after waiting for my bill for 20 minutes - after all, they had my room number! Staff begrudgingly friendly. Room service likewise. Concierge service inefficient and unclear.

Cons: Staff is not great. Not everyone knew English and it was difficult to communicate with them. Breakfast was really terrible. Even simple things as bread and coffee were not eatable. Parking is payable 15euros but not for a day but for a day of staying. If you check out in the morning you have to immediately move your car no matter that you pay it.

Cons: The pictures look much nicer than what it is! The hotel is VERY loud at night because of the clubs and bars next doors, couldn’t close an eye before 2.30am. Location is a bit remote from the majn attractions. Facilities are worn out, eg our door had a bump, electricity card does not work properly. We stayed in january and the heating system is suboptimal and noisy.

Cons: We were on the 7th floor, taking the elevator for breakfast took ages! Also the area is close to a worse district, but also walkable to the nicer area. All in all not bad, not but it did not meet the expectations it created on the booking page.I suspect the pictures are old. The breakfast was good but lots of pastries(for those who love them) and had to wait for eggs/ham/cheese replenishments. A solid breakfast nonetheless! Thanks

Cons: The rooms are not 4 star quality and are not worth the price you pay. There was a massive crack in the window, the bathroom was scuffed with a crack on the toilet seat, the phone didnt work and only 1 plug socket worked. We told a member of staff who was asking guests about their stay and whether they were happy with the facilities but nothing was done.

Cons: Room 23 - bed was not comfortable. I asked about 1 Double Bed but in hotel I got 2 single beds. Location Good But one staff in The reception wasn't nice ( woman with glasses ) . It seemed like she doesnt want to work.No smiling. Breakfast very bad. And lamp in our room was broken. I dont recommend this hotel.
