Pros: The property location is excellent. The rooms are spacious and reasonably clean. The decor is pleasant however aged. Car parking is not a problem if you like a bit of extra walking.
Cons: Reception opened only until 11:00 at night. Flights are sometimes late and hence the check-in is a problem. Paying 40 Euros for being late because the flight was late is ridiculous and bad practice. Luckily the male receptionist was nice enough not to charge us for 10 minutes' belatedness. However, he threated to so when informed at 10:00 pm that the plane was late, just landed and we might be late. Reception staff not very helpful and not always polite, depending on who is on duty and what mood is in. Cleaners overzealous, cleaning rooms even when not asked, changing towels not placed on the floor, folding clients bed clothes, etc.

Cons: The front step coming into the entrance needs fixing to meet Engliah speaking country standards as most of the guests appear to come from overseas. I have slipped off it several times. There has only been a fresh fruit platter at breakfast once out of four mornings. The bread rolls could be varied. The cereals are all refined so I have gone and bought my own.

Pros: It was a very nice property, some of the rooms are spectacular, breakfast was also very nice. I would consider going back as long as they have heat and hot water....
Cons: We should have been informed at check-in about that there was no hot water and no heat. We overheard a guest complaining at check-in and we where sold that it was resolved and everything would be OK within a few hours. To add insult to injury I was given a room that did not resemble anything that I booked although immediately after complaining I was shown another room that was what I did book. (And it was spectacular.) But this new room was cold, very cold, we went out to diner and when we returned a couple of hours later it was still cold. They did immediately help by providing us another room that was much hotter. I understand that issues such as this happens, what I find distasteful was that the gentleman at check-in downplayed it and was deceptive about reality. We should have been informed and allowed us to have a choice.

Pros: Breakfast was good
Cons: From the moment we got out of taxi we had to carry bags down large number small steps to get into hotel We got our keys to our room when we opened the door we found out we were given a disabled room . I went downstairs to change room but they said they were booked out but can change tomorrow. Next thing our room was cold and couldn't get air con to work rung front desk and their answer was air Conditioning not working at the moment so we had to get extra blankets.Turned the kettle on to have a cup of tea but no milk went downstairs told to go to the bar and get it there. That night our room 403 was facing the street and Surprise Surprise there was a nightclub over the road going till 2 o'clock in the morning so no sleep till then After all this first thing in the morning I went down stairs to sort out a new room but had to wait till around 1300hrs. My wife didn't want to stay there for a further 3 nights so we cut our stay by 1 day even though we lost payment for this night. When I checked out they had the cheek to charge me 2 euro for the half glass of milk for the tea in our room and when I told front desk you have got my payment because we are checking out 1 day early they didn't care ,he said we don't supply milk in room We were not happy with the hotel or the service we received and could not recommend Hotel Garibaldi

Pros:
Cons: Very noisy location, very bad breakfast, very cold room, not comfortable bed
5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good, beds were comfortable.
Cons: 1. They did not inform us that on Sunday parking is free on streets so we where driving for three hours (!!!) just so we could be able to get inside the hotel parking lot, main streets were closed so there was only one way which only hotel employees knew. 2. There was no slippers provided even known that floors are made out of stone. 3. Shower was broken because water did not go down as quick as it were coming out from the shower head. 4. Every few seconds cold water started coming from the shower. 5. There was nothing inside the shower to place shampoo or anything. You had to drop it on the ground. 6. Wi-fi was very bad and most of the time did not work. As my friend is IT specialist he told that they have wrong settings which they could fix. 7. Street view to nothing. 8. On November they provide only small summer blanket and it is cold to sleep with it. Overall, definitely not worth 4 stars and that money we paid.

Pros: We chose this hotel based on previous experience with Ibis properties in Paris and Toulouse, and it was the best of the three. The room was spacious and bright, the onsite parking was gated and just behind the building, with the interior walls decorated (at the hotel's request) by local graffiti artists. the real find was the hotel terrace, with its view of Palermo's port area. We enjoyed after dinner drinks while watching the ferries load and unload. The breakfast buffet was abundant and varied, with different pastries each day. We were within easy walking distance of shopping and restaurants as well as the historic zone. We were also close to a main bus hub, useful when you tire of walking.

Cons: Some noise from building renovations next door.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The personnel was nice.
Cons: The hotel is located in the industrial sea port where the air is very polluted because of the huge ships. The hotel is on Crispy Street which has an awful traffic and noise. The pictures and the description on the sites are not relevant at all. For example: the rooftop garden is actually a very poor cantine with a long balcony. There is no garden. We were given the modern room which was not modern at all. Everything is very small or crouded.

Pros:
Cons: We were ignored by staff who didn’t speak English, this was everyone! Hotel caters for large group tours. Room smelt strongly of mould, which didn’t dissipate during stay. Room was ‘renovated’ but needed renovation! Ate once in restaurant for dinner. Worse (and overpriced) meal in Sicily and waited one hour to be served (but quiet night). As staff both in restaurant and front desk did not speak English, complaint fell on deaf ears. Booked hotel as major feature was swimming pool. Pool closed one week before our stay despite daily temps of 27degrees Celsius. Parking pot luck outside hotel where African males frighten patrons demanding money to park their cars.
6.0 Good
Pros: The room. Well fitted, clean and practical. Great balcony. Quiet. All in all a redeeming feature of the hotel.
Cons: The worst restaurant service I have experienced in a long while. I had to ask three people for the drink I ordered. 20 minutes to arrive. Service was slow. I had to ask for salt several times before getting a couple of tear-open envelopes of salt. I left the restaurant after waiting for my bill for 20 minutes - after all, they had my room number! Staff begrudgingly friendly. Room service likewise. Concierge service inefficient and unclear.

Pros: Good location, with nice restaurants around. Perfect breakfast. Room spacious and clean. Interesting price offer on booking.com
Cons: - We got a room on the first floor, it was unfortunately quite noisy (especially we stayed here with our 10 months baby).- - Staff of the hotel is doing lot of noise closing / cleaning the terasse of the hotel between 11pm and 12am... - Close to the hotel, there is big hotel construction / renovation... so there was lot of noise starting early morning....

Cons: my room was in front of a very busy street. Lots of street noise. Breakfast selection was quite limited.

Pros: Great location, good buffet breakfast. Room cleaned every day. The room as such quite comfortable. Easy walking distance to Teatro Massimo and all a lot of good restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Try Bebop Restaurant, just a block away. Great creative Italian cuisine with a modern twist.
Cons: We stayed here for four nights and unfortunately we stayed in a room with the windows facing a dark external dark space. No daylight and we felt like living in a bunker. WiFi a bit unreliable. We would not accept such a dark room again! Room210.

Pros: Not very much to be honest , staff were very polite . Location was ok
Cons: This is most definitely not a 4 star more like a 2/3 star The rooms were very dark , light bulbs out , showers leaking towels were thread bare, beds were extremely uncomfortable , safe didn’t work . Would not recommend this hotel very expensive for a run down very basic hotel

Pros: Centrally located. Good choice of breakfast.
Cons: This place don't deserve the fourth star. The control panel for the air con is just for show. There is no cooling, no heating, no ventilation, nothing. The bathroom is pretty big, but the shower cabin is claustrophobic. The main entrance door at the lobby is a joke.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had to leave before breakfast so I can't commennt.
Cons: The hotel was good but in my opinion the location was poor. It was a situated in a run-down part of town long way from the train station and the main tourist sights, shops and eateries.

Pros: Very central position, right beside one of the main shopping streets.

Pros: No heating unless we asked for it; imagine having a shower in winter with no heating on... in a shower that closes poorly, with the handle leaking from multiple sides, and low quality soap bar that breaks in pieces as soon as you use it. House keeping was not replacing the soap bars or shampoo, and when we asked for it the reception told us they didn't have any more. The beds are low quality too, squeaky as hell; they put some wool sheets on top and they were constantly falling from either side (single beds); I wonder why not using simple duvets like any hotel I've been. There were no curtains on the widows, hence by raising the blinds you were staring in someone's apartment (and they can look at your room/bathroom). Elevators in the property are so old that they don't try to close even while you're stepping in (there are no photocells). My mother (70 yo) was caught in them while entering the elevator because someone else had called it from the ground floor... not good at all. In general, the whole place needs renovation from the ground up (pain coming off of the walls and so on).

Cons: 1. Front desk guys lacked customer service skills. They were rude and unwelcoming.
2. Overall appearance of hotel looks old and dirty. It would benefit from major renovations. The furnishings, fixtures and decor were outdated, the bed was uncomfortable. the bed spread looked old and dinghy.
3. Thank goodness we stayed only 1 night.

Pros: At breakfast the sweet part was okay, and delicious! The bed were a bit soft for me but we had great 2 night sleeps there!!
Cons: It is shame, the put plastic cups for water and the soft drinks instead of glasses made of glass!! The salty department were not a good choice. Also the coffee is not good (comparing the fact we are in Italy :P)

Pros: The hotel had a nice view from the breakfast restaurant and it was nice looking hotel overall
Cons: The location is terrible, isn't safe to walk late at night or evenings, far from city centre .. also didn't like that you had to pay even for bottle of water.. wifi didn't work as well
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a decent location, the staff are pleasant enough and the buffet breakfast was fantastic. The staff in the restaurant were the most friendly and helpful.
Cons: The rooms are not 4 star quality and are not worth the price you pay. There was a massive crack in the window, the bathroom was scuffed with a crack on the toilet seat, the phone didnt work and only 1 plug socket worked. We told a member of staff who was asking guests about their stay and whether they were happy with the facilities but nothing was done.

Helped in any way possiable the lady who greeted us in the breakfast room asked us if every thing was ok and did we need a map of the city to help us get around.
Cons: Pillow’s and mattress was hard the room we were in was looking a bit tired carpets had stains on them in the room and also in the hallway carpets there was no drawers to put in your underwear. The units were need of upgrading.
6.7 Good
Pros:
Cons: Initial room was not good #914, no WIFI accessibility from this room. Staff was not very cooperative until we informed them that we were Travel Agents, then we were relocated to 1209, a wonderful suite at no extra cost. We certainly appreciated that.

Pros: At the top of the hotel you could look at the sea view. The food wasn’t bad at the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was not bad either.
Cons: The bedding which was very uncomfortable. The worst pillows I’d ever seen in any hotel. The water in the pool was very cold and not sparkling clean.

Pros: Parking place, very large hotel
Cons: Poor breakfast, poor internet connection, old hotel is was probably great in the 90s
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Beds excellent
Cons: Service/reception staff nonchalant. Poor information of bus/tram transports from hotel. Poor info of restaurants nearby. Breakfast service poor. Old slow toast. Tea cups not available. No vegetables whatsoever. Room furniture poor, no wardrobe. The malin problem was the hotel geography, far from city, slum blocks to pass walking. Ambulance disturbing transports to nearby hospital. Summary: Not a 4 star hotel standard!
