I wasn’t even able to rent the car. I reserved it online with an Apple credit card. When I was dropped off at the airport to pick up the car with the SAME CC I used to reserve it I was told I couldn’t rent it because they don’t take that CC. I had no ride home, no other CC’s. I was forced to use a different rental company that was more than twice the price. And the guy was a jerk about it to boot.Cons:

Kayak didn’t give me an option to put in a time to pick up the car so it defaulted to noon, and their policy is that reservations “expire” after 3 hours. I had asked for a midsize sedan and they said none were available and gave me an SUV. When I got to the lot there were several sedans out there and people coming out after me were getting in them. Also the gentleman took note of my car number and said he would bring the car up. Which he did not do. After standing in the sun for some time I had to ask another attendant and then walk to the corner of the lot to get the car. Through KAYAK I was quoted "Unlimited Miles," however when I arrived to pick up the van, I was told that there was a 375 mi/day limit and that I would be charged $.45 for every additional mile. Apparently, there is a discrepancy between what KAYAK quotes and what AVR quotes - and the customer is responsible for uncovering that discrepancy. The address that I was given by KAYAK to pick-up the vehicle was incorrect... closed due to COVID-19. Luckily, there was someone at that closed location who was able to direct me to the proper address (which was only 2 miles away). The van was clean... sort of. There was a noticeable amount of sand in the carpets from the previous users who, most likely, went to the beach. In light of COVID-19, I was told that all the surfaces were sprayed with Lysol.2.8 Poor

When we went to pick up our van, no one was on property. My husband called the number provided. When a lady answered she stated they had no vans available and all reservations had been cancelled. She stated everyone was contacted the day before. I can assure you NOONE from any company contacted us to cancel our reservation. This was for our daughters ‘drive thru’ graduation so we could take our family to see her graduate. This company ruined that experience for her and our family. We spent the entire morning scrambling to find another van, ending up spending 400x the money. Our attorney is contacting this company. What a horrible experience. I was not informed that at ONT you do not go to the “Rental Car” area for ACE. You have to call a number to get picked up. It took me 30 min to get to the rental car area, wasted time. And after finding out I could not get through to customer service at all—was only re-routed through automated voice prompts. Finally I had to give up and rent a different car.
