Pros: US Customs process leaving Shannon for New York (you go thru US customs in Ireland and don’t have to in New York)
Cons: This air line is terrible! Their planes are leased, old and uncomfortable.

Pros: The later flight I took Boston to Dublin was good and the rebooking in Dublin was good.
Cons: The rescheduling at Hartford was awful. Did not contact in advance. Sent some to Boston to catch a flight that would make our connections, but t he flight was already full.

Pros: Great selection of movies and personal entertainment system.
Cons: The flight attendants were extremely rude. Passengers are unimportant in the eyes of the staff. Odd rules/regulations; not allowed to have a pillow on laps or placed anywhere except behind head throughout take off and landing (next to head or on your side is unacceptable and the flight attendants will keep coming around until the pillows are removed). Also, not allowed to bring any beverages on board which I have never experienced in all my years of flying. Particularly inconvienct when the flight is seven plus hours and they serve beverages only twice throughout entire flight....
Cons: The plane was really warm the entire flight, even with the personal air on, and the space was really cramped.
Pros: I was not happy. The first part of my flight was canceled and it was two days before Flight ! Then I was told take another flight with a stop in Boston and 3 hours wait I had to take a day of work $300 the flight I reserve costs $300 more got no refund believe it or not a lot of stuff has to be left till the last minute like putting my dogs in bored for the week e.c.t

Pros: Aer Lingus is great once you are on board.
Cons: Small undermanned deso at IAD. plane was late arriving at Dulles and took over 1 hr. To unload the bags which caused me to miss my connecting flight and sit in the airport for an additional 5 hrs until the next flight to my destination was available.
Pros: Was very impressed by the crew, leg room and on-time performance.
Overall pretty good
Pros: Overall it was a pretty good experience, the food was decent, the movie selection was pretty good. The seats were a bit cramped, but you can't expect first class legroom on an economy ticket

Pros: Satisfied all round. The staff even assisted me when it appeared my hand luggage was not found at the end of the trip. Apparently someone had shifted its position and the telltale sign turned inside. Gratitude to the staff for the quick discovery.
Cons: I felt rather embarrassed that I was expected to present a transit visa before I COULD join another Aer Lingus plane on what I expected to be a straight flight from London to Washington. (I had the same problem on my flight to UK through Dublin when for some twenty minutes I was waiting the pleasure of the officer before he would sign my passport.) I travelled from Nigeria (but on Ethiopian Airlines), on my way to Washington with a stop at Dublin without any embarrassment or query to present a transit visa. I never expected the embarrassment since Aer Lingus originates from Ireland and anything to boost the use of the airline I expected would be put in place, not the reverse.
1st time Aer Lingus flyer
Pros: Our flight going to Ireland and returning home was very smooth, left on time and non eventful. The crew were friendly, helpful and professional. Enjoyed the good selection of movies, music, etc. and for airline food it was good.
Pros: The movie selection was excellent and the flight attendants have nice accents and smiles. The flight attendants should be given a bit more to work with in terms of actually keeping the customers happy with space for the human, food that tastes good, and lower prices for snacks and drinks.
Cons: It feels like one is on a slave ship packed in like sardines. I'm five foot four inches tall, and there was not even enough space for me! The person ahead of me was unable to push his seat back, thank goodness. Then, it costs money for any decent snack, the sour cream and onion pretzels were not doing it for me. And so expensive! I wound up paying $35 extra for food and two drinks on the seven hour flight, and then the flight attendant urged my six foot tall companion to pay extra for a seat with more legroom. And I'll be honest: getting off, when we got to the bag carousel, that was really a zoo. Three flights using same carousel at once, which was not moving. No Aer Lingus personnel around. And I thought, "Next time, I don't care if its 200 more, I'm paying for Lufthansa."
poor service and shocking prices
Pros: Having previously flower with delta and American Airlines I was shocked to see how far behind Aer Lingus were, they offered each passenger a free soft drink which instead of being given a can or bottle was poored from a two liter bottle into a shot glass, surprisingly any alcoholic beverages came with a €6 charge and the food was nowhere near there rival air lines either. If flying again I would certainly pay the extra €50 and fly with a proper air line
Cons: Service and prices onboard plane
Pros: All the staff was very lovely and helpful.
Cons: We had to wait over an hour for them to remove 4 pieces of luggage that had been prechecked - this prechecking option did not seem to save time, but instead wasted a lot of time.
Pros: I thought everything was great except there was a really snotty flight attendant.
Pros: the food and the flight attendants were very responsive . We also landed 30mins early

Cons: The flight attendants were okay, not real friendly at all! Food was terrible; selection was terrible and taste and texture not so good!

Cons: That I lost my luggage and it took them 6 days to get it to us. We tried calling for updates and were not able to get anything.
Cons: The Boeing 757 is an incredibly small and cramped aircraft for Transatlantic travel. As compared to the 747 and Airbus craft I am more used to the 757 with it's narrow body design is extremely uncomfortable for long duration flights.
The worst airline
Pros: There was nothing to like, apart from actually arriving in NY alive!
Cons: Plane appeared to have been built around the same time as Noah's Ark. They obviously don't have updated weather radar as the pilot hit every bit of turbulence he could. Flight delayed an hour because they loaded the wrong baggage. The TSA set up is a farce. Flights leaving at 8am and they don't even open the doors until 6:30am! Unable to get boarding passes online! Knee smashed twice by food cart, no apologies! I could go on and on. Ireland can do better than having this airline! Never again, I have already convinced 2 people not to fly with Aer Lingus to NY.

Pros: Good boarding and crew.
Cons: 2 1/2 hour delay for take off. I realize this isn't the Airlines fault but it is my feedback for future information.
Pros: The price. Entertainment options were excellent.
Cons: The flight attendants tended to bump people in the aisle rows instead of asking them to mind the moving carts. The "light snack" on the way to Europe was just a snack bar and a box of orange juice, on the way back it was a slightly stale muffin with tomato and cheese. The main meals were ok, but the trays they served them on were warped slightly which made them slide wildly around on the tray table. Had to keep a finger on it all the time to not get lunch in my lap. The seating diagram when we checked in both times was completely wrong. I reserved seats in the back quarter of the plane several rows away from the toilets. When we boarded, we were directly next to and in front of the toilets. On the way there, I reserved bulkhead seats, but they turned to not be bulkhead like in the picture.
Cons: The connection time was too short, too many security items between connecting flights which is rather odd since I had to have been cleared before boarding my original flight.

Cons: Website is the worst I have seen. Ever. Not professional. And their app is called "Aer Lingus New" as opposed to the old app "Aer Lingus". Even a child with some basic IT skills would do better. Also seating policy is weird
Pros: You can go through US Customs while still at Shannon Airport
Cons: Aer Lingus cancelled our original flight because the flight wasn't full. The flight attendants were unfriendly and unhelpful. The food was mediocre at best, the attendants didn't even offer something to drink with the snack. When I asked if we could get some coffee or tea the attendant said they didn't have time, but they did have time to sell wine and beer. This was once a good airline, now it's just a poor competitor to Ryanair.
