Pros: Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. Cleaning staff and breakfast hosts were very kind.
Cons: We were given our room keys in which there was already someone staying. Walked right in on a very obviously taken room with clothes and bags everywhere. This could've easily been a bad situation if the person thought we were breaking into the room. Now instead of a king bed room that we paid good money for, we were given a 2 queen bed room which we did not ask for, reserve or have any choice over. We were promised that a refund would be processed for the mistake and that they were very sorry for the inconvenience. Nothing has happened, not a single word has been spoken or mentioned at all since that same night about any kind of reimbursement. If someone walked into my hotel room unannounced I know it would not end well. This could've been a very dangerous situation especially considering the part of town that the hotel is located in. We didn't pay $350+ to Best Western for this kind of error with no effort to fix it at all except give us a sub par room that we didn't reserve. The only upside of the hotel is new renovations so it's clean, comfortable, and majority of the staff we ran into were kind.

Cons: Our ax unit didn't work. It smelled in our room. Nothing was stocked. I came down thinking they would even have a blow dryer or fridge for what I payed. Terrible stay.

Pros: The rooms, décor, the art... Basically the environment as a whole had a European vibe which I liked about it. I love that it wasn't a huge chain like Marriott or Hilton. Those places have no character. This one does. Also, it seems to be the place that traveling musicians like to stay (no matter the genre). I'd recommend it to my friends with no hesitation.
Cons: The restaurant has a very limited menu, is slightly rude when you call to ask them about it and is more expensive than it should be. Not a big deal since Nashville is loaded with awesome restaurants. Their loss.

Pros: - The front desk staff were always pleasant. Asked if everything was to my liking, smiled constantly, and were very knowledgeable. - The décor of the hotel is GORGEOUS. The lobby alone makes you feel like a rock star, but the rooms make you feel cozy. - I recommend using room service or going down into the in-house restaurant/bar. You won't be disappointed with any choice. I ordered brunch to be brought to my room and it was delicious. - They're pet-friendly! For only a small fee, I was able to bring my cat into the room with me. The staff didn't mind that I brought her litter box into the room either. The lovely lady that brought me the in-room brunch even got down and gave my cat some attention while I paid the tip.
Cons: My minor complaints/suggestions: - I wish they'd provide a microwave and/or mini fridge in the room. That way, if you don't finish your food or drinks, you can store/reheat them. - I recommend to ask if the room they're booking you for is by the elevators. My room (which I booked online) was directly across from them and I could hear them. This didn't disturb me too much, but it might to a light sleeper. Extra tip: They are doing some light construction in the bldg. They let you know the hours that it'll be happening. This didn't bother me at all though. I was more than understanding. - I wish their parking lot accommodated for traveling movers. It was difficult to find proper parking for a Uhaul towing a vehicle. The lot was nicely lit (thank you!) but they may want to consider making a specific area for larger loads. There's plenty of parking for smaller/single vehicles.

Pros: I literally don't have one negative thing to say. Super friendly front desk. Super cool decor. Super comfy bedding. Super nice toiletries. Super clean EVERYTHING....bathroom floor, tub, sink, linens, carpet, windows, remote control, ironing board cover....EVERYTHING was ridiculously clean (the cleaning staff must be crazy good). I actually miss it...that's weird, right?! Will ABSOLUTELY stay again anytime I'm in Nashville. Love love.

Pros: I loved everything about this hotel. They were swamped at check in, but quickly more clerks appeared and it only took a few minutes. The clerks were very knowledgeable about the area and were able to provide me phone numbers/biz cards for things like taxi service. The room was very very clean, the shower very nice. This place has tons of personal, quirky touches. While by a run way, we never heard any overhead noise. The restaurant has fairly reasonable prices, and the chef knows what he (or her?) is doing with a steak. Our waiter Micah was fast and knew the menu/wine list well. We had a drink in the Pink Slip bar and found Justin to be one of the better bar tenders we'd ever encountered (and smartly advised us we would not enjoy the karoke as we do not care for pop or country music). The security man, Shawn, has a great accent, stop and chat him up if you see him. Check out was extremely painless and fast. I really can't say enough good things about staying at the Hotel Preston, but to sum it up, very clean, very stylish, very safe, EXTREMELY KIND STAFF. I would not recommend this hotel for families as small children would just ruin the funky cool vibe of the place.
Cons: We were only able to stay one evening! I had a little trouble getting the internet to work, but I think that was me, not it. Once I read and followed the directions it worked just fine.

Pros: The staff was very good and accommodating. We had 3 rooms and they were able to get 2 rooms next to each other and the other down the hall on the same floor. Everything was clean and safe.
Cons: It is older. They have obviously made some remodeling efforts in the years. There was construction on the same floor as ours (but it did not impact our stay). The water pressure and water temperature was very inconsistent.

Cons: We had a concern for bed bugs in our room and asked for management to come check out the situation. No one ever came up. They did suggest we change rooms, but never heard another word. When I asked if the situation was resolved, there was no note on our stay and they said the room was rented out the following night. Very poor service with regards to this potential health issue.

Cons: Was really surprised on how high hotel prices in Nashville were to begin with. Hotel Preston is not in the middle of events and still on higher end of pricing. Staff were great, they are doing some renovation in the bar/ restaurant, rooms super spacious, did not have noisy neighbors, fitness facility clean and pretty, the art deco was fun.

Iconic layout ok if that is what one is looking for. Doors between rooms not insulated and could hear noise from adjacent room. Cons: The hotel smelled very badly of cigarette smoke, which was nauseating. The elevators and hallways were especially bad. The mattresses were old and creaking & uncomfortable. My carpet had a gross crusty spot on it that should have been cleaned & during the night, they lost water & had no back up. It was very inconvenient. They also did not have ice on each floor, so if you wanted ice in your ice bucket, you had to go to a different floor.

Cons: Seemed out of date and understaffed. Didn't have enough luggage carts. And it seemed a lot of riff raft stayed at the Hotel. Website made it seem like a 4 or 5 star hotel. Definitely not worth the money I paid. Would not revisit. I normally stay in 4 or 5 star hotels.

Cons: This is a thinly-disguised remodeled old-style Holiday Inn. While it no longer has balcony entrances the rooms are small and ceilings are low. Bathrooms, though remodeled, have little space. Tub was clean but slick with no safety strips on the bottom. breakfast offered only sugary buns and weak coffee, plus some sausage biscuits I wouldn’t consider. Only one restaurant nearby, a pub with bar food. Pass on this one.

Pros: Location was a few miles out of downtown, $12 cab fare to get to the center of downtown. Front desk staff called a cab for us, we thought they might have a shuttle but they did not. When dropping us off the cab driver told us the motel was in a, "bad part of town, don't leave your room until morning." The jacuzzi jets didn't work but we liked the room anyways. There was a king bed and a pull out couch so could sleep up to 4 comfortably. Doors had extra dead bolts so I felt very safe. We saw one adorable stink bug type insect, but we let him hang out inside because it was cold outside.

Cons: The tub was extremely slow to drain. The staff said it is an ongoing issue. It has some updates such as new furniture, recent paint, however it needs a complete renovation. Popcorn & swirl paternity ceilings, paint ending at the toilet tank with the old wallpaper cut to match the outline, shower heads wall plates extending 2 inches from the wall, missing light globes,... The staff is extremely nice and helpful.
