Intermediate SUV

Rented a car at 6pm. Arrived at facility at 6:05’and discovered the facility was closed at 6pm. How can I rent a car when the facility is already closed. I wasted $100 in Uber trying to find an open facility.

Cons:

Due to over booking, we didn’t get the vehicle or anything close to what we booked. Got a extremely small SUV. Extremely uncomfortable and not so enjoyable ride.

Cons:

The only thing which could be improved was the car smelled of someone smoking in it. As a nonsmoker, I don't appreciate the smell. In addition, the car manual was missing.

Car ran..that was good. 26,000 miles is a lot for a rental car. Everything else was terrible. Dark garage where you pick up the car... could not see much. Arrived at hotel to see at least 6 areas that were deeply scratched or dented. This car should never have been rented out. Called Avis number....18 minutes on hold to be told this was a customer service issue...call next day. 35 minutes on hold and asked for a call back. They recorded the dents/scratches and gave me a website to download photos. Did not work. I am on vacation wasting a lot of time. Took the car to a local Avis dealer. Would not exchange cars because of appearance, but did record damages in my contract. We will see. Also, charge on contract not the Kyack/Priceline number...$300 more!! Contacted Priceline and they said not to worry. We will also see. Way too much time spent, distractions and it is not over yet. What an absolutely terrible experience. Buyer beware!!

I liked having a rental car when it was available to me. Which is what I paid for. The way Avis handled the rental getting a flat tire, the "repair" and "roadside assistance," and getting a replacement was egregious. I can't say anything positive about the rental car experience with Avis.

Called 2 days before my rental to confirm everything was good to go 1 hour before pick up my rental was cancelled by them with no solution rep was unhelpful and terrible to work with Will not be using budget ever again

What did like - NOTHING. After a $35 Uber ride, the Budget representative said "Sorry, I don't have any cars." Another Uber ride to Enterprise after direct call to the location. Excellent service there. You ride the wrong horses!

Cleaner car. We found a vape cartridge for THC in between the seat. It would have been easier to have automatic lift gate, esp. for older people. But all in all, we will use again!

Cons:

The rental car agency did not have a vehicle for me, even though this was a prepaid rental. I have not found a place on the Kayak app where I can request a refund, so I have asked my credit card company to file a claim to get the refund.

This was the wkrst rental experience ever! I reserved a luxury rental (mercedes to be exact) but when i got there i was given a 2018 jeep compass that cd not go more than 55mph uphill. Despite my explaining i rented and needed a luxury car i was told the older jeep compass was an upgrade so i should be happy. I inquired about 2 other vehicles on the lot that were not luxury but better than the Compass & i was told those were reserved for next morning. The car was also filthy, i had to take it to car wash n pay to have inside AND outside cleaned because i cdnt bare to drive it as it was. When i got home i referenced the Hertz luxury vehicles vs compass and it was actually a downgrade. Upon return i complained & requested a decrease in my daily charge for 7 days n was given a $20 discount which is about $1.50 per day discount which was a joke. Never again will i rent from Hertz! Kayak needs to eliminate thier agreement w Hertz,this is the 2 time in 6 months ive been duped by Hertz.
