Cons: Easier to find sign outside the front door...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice ambiance and atmosphere, organic food, very quiet
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very accessible location with public transport nearby and just a short walk from downtown. Beautiful interior, classy decoration, but also very modern. Serge is a very welcoming and friendly host. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: Some small bits about the shower room in the small double room: no door, just a curtain, making toilet privacy impossible; the tap in the middle of the small sink made it very hard to wash or brush teeth without splashing all over; water pressure in the shower was a bit weak. An extra bedside table and a chair (there were only one of each) would help greatly. Pity the blinders didn't close all the way through.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Serge and Guido were excellent hosts. The bnb has some incredible touches. We really enjoyed our stay. Très beau design...proche à tout...bref wunderbar!
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The room is spacious and clean. Although it is not located near the train station, it is accessible easily by bus near the train station. Many attraction points can be reached by walking from the hotel. Variety of choices for the buffet breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Met on arrival by a very welcoming and helpful gentleman on reception, the hotel is obviously part of a chain but this one still manages to have it's own charm and character. Excellent room facilities and room service as well as 'extraordinary comfortable' pillows - feel free to let us know where you bought them from because we want to purchase a pair!! :)
Cons: A large bottle of water (1.5 litres) was priced at an eye-watering €7.50!! Bottles of Coke (330ml) was €3.50....work out the economics of that!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the city centre and most of the things you want to visit in Liege.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast is excellent. Location is fine. Public transport stops very close to the hotel.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Things went quick and smooth when checking in and out, the staff at the desk was friendly.
Cons: There was funny smell in the room, couldn't really tell what it was exactly or where it came from. The view from our room was on the outside terrace where people were smoking. It didn't feel like privacy as we had to keep the curtains closed to obtain that privacy which was quite sad as natural light feels much better than turning on the lights. Last, but not least, the room had carpet flooring which is not okay when suffering dust allergy. Would be good if they installed some allergy friendly rooms. No parking facilities (or if there were, it was so poorly indicated that we didn't find out).
5.8 Okay
Pros: Relatively new rooms. Close to the train stations
Cons: No common area. Smelled of tobacco. Rooms overheated at night. Windows locked. One single plug in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money. Great location and super clean and comfortable hotel rooms!!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location near the railway station. Friendly people. Small but clean room, Beds were to soft for us. Quiet room on a small courtyard. Good WiFi. Very good breakfast buffet.

Overview Reviews
Hôtel Hors Château is centrally located in Liege, a 4-minute walk from Montagne de Beuren and 7 minutes by foot from Place Saint-Lambert. A shuttle from the airport to the hotel is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and the staff were friendly
Cons: The shower and toilet were part of the room, no privacy at all! This should be better advertised.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Situated in the middle of Liège, this hotel was perfect to sleep in. Great lovely manager, no frills just a good place to stay.
Cons: It is a small hotel. Just remember that.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable room, staff very friendly Well presented hotel inside which isn’t necessarily obvious from the outside as very unassuming (probably not helped by the damp grey day!) Good breakfast
Cons: It is on a main road so there was quite a lot of traffic noise / buses. The shower door didn’t close properly so completely soaked floor both of ‘wet room’ but also into the bedroom as no door to that (fine as I was on my own but might be odd if using the loo and with someone else)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: everything
Cons: the red lion was scary.
Verone Liège - Liège - Bedroom

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really nice hotel, big rooms with sofa and big TV. Bathroom with big shower. Parking for free in front of the hotel. Hotel is more for couples...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, room, service, parking just near the enter - all was great
Cons: We spent 2h to fill jacuzzi with water but it was fun))
7.5 Good
Pros: First see comments of what we didn't like. So after overcoming the unease, the extras (in our case, a sauna within the room) was actually quite a bonus. You can book a simple breakfast for 10€ per person (delivered to your room).
Cons: It's a bit out of the way for meals (at night, especially if you do not know the town yet). As mentioned by another commenter, it would have been good if it was clear that this is hotel for couples to meet for discreetly for sex. (We were passing through & most hotels near the highway were not available. And were a little uncomfortable with the kinky deco. Of course, after overcoming the unease, everything was clean & OK)
5.0 Okay
Pros: The decor was lovely.
Cons: The lighting in the bathroom was poor and there was nowhere to put a toilet bag, no shelves etc. The room had no air conditioning so it was very hot. There was no restaurant, breakfast was delivered to my room at 9am. The breakfast was very simple and basic. I had requested gluten and lactose free and both were catered for.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful room. Good in-room breakfast. Comfortable bed. The hotel is in a quite district of liege, few km away from the city center. We'll definetely come. Back !
Cons: No elevator
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room with hot tub. Room is comfortable.
Cons: Checkout time is quite early. 10am.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything except menu
Cons: The menue
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food and wine selection
Cons: Our room (623) had a problem with hot water in shower. Management compensated us by offering breakfast and free parking.
7.1 Good
Pros: The quality of the room and of the breakfast. The restaurant is nicely located and decorated.
Cons: The fact that my girlfriend's perfume disappeared from our room while we were out and was never found again. It's a real shame for an hotel with a good reputation like this.
7.9 Good
Pros: The suite was huge - two stories - and is set in the old part of the hotel. For the off season, the price was less than a standard room during high season, and well worth it. The fitness center was quite nice, but the weights on the machines only go up to a modest level - if you strong, it might not be much of a workout.
Cons: Heating was not very good. The bottom floor was frigid and the top floor was boiling. Despite staying two nights, also, no one came to clean our room. We didn’t really mind as much in the end, though, given the spaciousness of the suite itself and some extra pillows we found in a closet.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: great location
8.8 Excellent
Pros: In the heart of Liège an excellent place to stay for roaming about this wonderful town close to the opera a couple minutes walk away.
Cons: The breakfast was not good at all, better to eat outside the hotel where you will get a much better breakfast for much cheaper.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was good and the spa was good.
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The front desk and concierge always go above and beyond the call of duty when you have a need or request. The hotel is impeccable in its presentation, amenities, ambience and location. If you wonder whether it is worth the price - the answer is yes.
1.0 Poor
Cons: It's not a professional hotel and their customer service is horrible !! I book the hotel in Aug for Dec and fully paid in advance. However, I received 3 emails 6days before my travel date at the same time. 1st one confirmed my booking and the second one seems to write to another guy names "Graffxxx" and the third one announce me that they could not accommodate me due to their renovation. Since one of their suggestion are not suitable for me, I replied to them immediately but surprisingly. they ignored my mail which is not acceptable. Another point is they lied cause finally I went there and they accepted my stay... there is no Renovation in the hotel as they mentioned in their mail.

7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely special breakfast for 1st January and extended check-out which was very considerate. Lovely staff during check-in and very helpful with any questions about the city. The hostel has a quirky interior with few places to sit with friends/family.
Cons: The hostel is modernised/revamped but the room we stayed in (4 bed) was not updated. The room was purely functional. Heating couldn’t be turned off, but we just opened the window.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast, the rooms were spacious and clean! Everything was good.
Cons: They could offer some small soap in the bathroom.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room (facing the beautiful inner yard) was very quiet, very clean room and bathroom, very friendly staff. The breakfast was more than rich with a huge variety of things.
Cons: Only 2 chairs in a bedroom for 4, whilst having neither hooks outside the lockers nor a table nor a shelf next to the beds.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, clean room, helpful staff
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm, friendly staff at the reception; clean, functional and sufficient WCs and shower areas on each floor; breakfast included (very basic with hot beverages, toasts and cereals, but with some fruits); fully functional kitchen and plenty of cozy space in the common areas to chill alone or in groups.
Cons: Dormitory beds were not very clean when I arrived (previous bed sheets were still on, and some sweets were left behind on the bed... though these might be a bit hard to control on the hostel's side).
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff very helpful
Cons: Very basic
7.7 Good

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and very central
Cons: Airflow in the room was poor but the fan available resolved this
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, great value, discounted parking, and friendly staff!
Cons: The rooms were incredibly hot and we didn’t have the ability to lower the temp or open a window. A fan was provided but it still wasn’t enough.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of eateries to choose from.
Cons: When we called the hotel to ask about where to park, we was put through to the main call centre who told us to park in St Denis. When we walked to the hotel and checked in we was then made aware the parking garage was directly beneath the hotel with a direct access lift. This information could be updated to the call centre.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Windows wouldn’t open and no air con, very uncomfortable nights sleep. Not good especially when traveling for work

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location good for short taxi ride to city
7.1 Good
Pros: Excellent value for money. Typical US-style motel. Comfortable bed and room with an electric kettle and coffee/tee facilities. Nice bathroom with good shower. Great breakfast. The bar looked very cozy though I didn't have a drink there.
Cons: Location not really nice as it is somewhere in the middle of nowhere, however close to the motorway.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful
6.0 Good
Pros: Room was nice and the parking facilities were good. The breakfast was correct with a good selection of fresh food. Coffee was terrible though!
Cons: Long wait at the reception upon arrival although we were the only customers in line. The evening meal was very mediocre - service was rushed, food was not great (steak was overcooked and overpriced) and there was a strong smell of disinfectant coming from the kitchen area. Unfortunately, there are no other restaurants close by.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location is spot on if - like I was - you were travelling by car and just needed somewhere to stop and sleep for the night near to the main motorway network. I was expecting a disturbed nights sleep because the hotel is pretty much on top of the motorway, but the room was surprisingly quiet and I got a good nights sleep. Parking is free and easy and I kept my car there all morning and had a quick wander around Liege (the town centre is about a 20 minute walk away). The staff that I interacted with were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Cons: The thing that stood out to me was the whole place felt a bit tired and run down, Please understand that I was looking for a cheap nights stay when I booked so I wasn't expecting the Ritz and in fairness the room was comfortable and the bed and bathroom were clean, but for example the front door to our room had thick black dust all around it (I guess a problem of being so close to a motorway). The breakfast seemed a bit expensive for what is on offer - 11.50 each buys access to a coffee machine, a basic selection of breads and cereals and a few other bits and pieces. That said, it was all nice tasting food and fuelled me up for the next days drive.

Pros: Serge and Guido were excellent hosts. The bnb has some incredible touches. We really enjoyed our stay. Très beau design...proche à tout...bref wunderbar!

Pros: Cool and quirky building. Small B&B (only 3 guest rooms) but physically large rooms with cool decor. The owners we’re exceptionally friendly and helpful, even giving s a lift to the station when we weren’t able to book a taxi. Would highly recommend if staying in Liège
