This was a terrible experience, thrifty charged me for the rental for $1300 that I paid for through kayak and we got that refunded and now after returning the car yesterday I check my account this morning and they have charged me $862.

Had to wait 30 minutes in line. The clerk looked for my reservation on Hertz instead of Thrifty. The did t tell me the car was in the Hertz parking lot instead of Thrifty. Will never rent with them again.

Picking up the vehicle went smoothly, and the price was very competitive compared to other options. Our only point of friction is that a witch must have cursed us to always get Jeep Gladiators when we rent cars without specifying a model. We drove around in a big goofy Tonka Truck for the whole holiday, for a second time, to the amusement of all our friends we saw. Who even rents Jeep Gladiators on purpose? We don't know, but when it's an accident, it's always us.

I rented because it was $165.00. After turning back in, I was charged another $200.00 and $53.00. The total was $165.00, so why the extra charges? Kayak is nothing but a big rip off company.

I recommend downloading the Hertz app for mobile check-in. We found the travel to be heavy and lines longer than normal. The app allows the mobile check-in and bypass the lines. The employees were helpful and quick.

Paid for a car and then due to a flight delay I got to the desk 10 minutes after they closed. I called them before boarding to tell them about my delay and was told I would have the car I paid for waiting for me but that didn’t happen. Called customer service again and was told everyone went home for the day and I couldn’t get a car. Easily one of the most frustrating rental experiences I’ve ever dealt with.

The car I reserved was unavailable, as was literally every single non-electric car. Why even bother with a reservation in these cases? When I arrived at the desk, there was a 30-minute wait (despite being past 10 at night). The other car rental desks had very short and quickly-moving lines, but not ours. Though an employee was telling those of us waiting on line that the the selection was "limited", we were never told that "limited" meant "only electric cars". I flew into town to deal with a dying family member and the last thing I wanted was to deal with a type of car that I didn't even know how to refuel. Ultimately, the car was as frustrating as anticipated as it repeatedly glitched and wouldn't shift out of park without being toggled on and off. The front desk worker told me that we wouldn't be charged the fee for not recharging under the circumstances, but refused to actually document that anywhere and in fact told me I would not be allowed to rent the car without signing a waiver stating the very opposite. I was told "I told you we don't enforce it under these circumstances," but he got quite rude when I said I needed some documentation. That said, I don't blame the guy at the counter. It's obvious this place is managed by incompetent buffoons and those incompetent buffoons are the ones making the decisions; the people that work at the desk just have to be the public-facing mouthpieces of said buffoons.

There were over 50 people in line at the counter with one worker there. After waiting over an hour in line to get my car, i had to wait another 30 minutes for a car to be ready to go. The staffing was very poor and understaffed.

Absolutely awful. I pre-paid for this car rental and when I arrived to the Payless counter, I was told that no cars were available! Calling Payless customer service was useless. They said that the best they could do is to process a refund... how was that going to help? I was stuck at Indianapolis Airport with no means of getting to my final destination. I will never rent with Payless again.
