2 failed landing attemps before going to Nagoya airport for refueling. After 3 hours of taxiing, we still needed 3 attemps before a succeeded landing (after the 5th attempt finally!). In total, 11 hours inside the plane instead of 4h30, and with only a crappy piece of bread to feed us. A shame.
Cons: I boarded 90 minutes late.
Pros: On time.
Cons: No entertainment was provided.
Pros: No IFE without warning. 16 hrs. of nothing. very uncomfortable seats. Flight admits HKA going under and can not pay bills, customers suffer.

Pros: This airline is going out of business in the US. They have had great fares from LAX to Hong Kong and Bangkok. It seems the airline has been mismanaged or has had political restraints despite always being full. I was lucky to purchase the last roundtrip flight LAX HKG BKK before the online bookings were pulled for the LAX route. Hence, my flight to HKG and the return to LAX were empty flights, which is such a loss for an already dying airline. The crew were still polite and hardworking unlike US airlines.
Cons: Now you cant fly LAX or SFO to Asia on this airline. Bezos or Gates should buy the airline.
Cons: Entertainment needed
Pros: New aircraft
Cons: There was no entertainment at all for the entire 15 hours.
Pros: cabin crews
Cons: Be punctual
Pros: Crew was great.
Cons: Entertainment was not functioning whatsoever during the 15 hour flight, not enough food choices.
Cons: To simply find how much weight I’m allowed in every section of the flight. Also I couldn’t check in online with ELAL maybe because the ticket was a Hong Kong Airlines ticket operated by ELAL
Cons: No inflight movies
Pros: Nothing
Cons: It could have been business class like kayak sold me
Pros: Horrible.
Cons: Everything was wrong and kayak knew they were selling me a scam ticket.
Cons: Very good
Cons: Get better food
Pros: Kind staff
Cons: Entertainment
Pros: A little bit better with the service but the opportunity to be great like the other airlines I experienced was missing. To be honest the plane was one of the newest model around but looking and observing at the seats and restrooms, etc, I was not impressed. I feel like it was so cheaply done and maintenance was so poor.
Cons: Offering cheap fares does not mean poor service and being treated with rudeness and so so service. In every year that I travel, I try different airlines to see and experience. I say that this experience is the worst and will be forever be embedded/marked on my list. They should look into service more to make up for other shortcomings I observed. Really felt bad not for me but for the other people who also got mistreated with the crews rudeness and their mean attitude towards work and guest. I work in a service Industry and all I can say they are not even at par to our lowest standards in what we do at our work.
Pros: The attitude of the crew was not acceptable. They are mean and rude to paying guest. The service was unacceptable. It was a cheap airfare and you also get cheap service. First time I flew with this airlines and It was super disappointment that I got from the crew. The airplane was newer but they could be better. They can learn better service from other airlines I booked with. Also, better quality of overall experience.
Cons: Better touches on the seats, more cleanliness, doing it rightly than cheaply and most of all they should learn SERVICE from other airlines. Not because I bought a cheap fare does not mean we deserve a rude and mean service from the crew!
Pros: Very nice breakfast
Cons: Little more room in seats
Pros: Great female flight crew. The male flight attendants were unfriendly and maintained a sour look on their faces. Comfortable, decent leg room. Excellent entertainment.
Cons: Food is extremely low quality. Poor quality meat (fatty, muscle, skin, bone chips). Boarding in Hong Kong was disorganized.
Pros: The female flight attendants were great. For some reason the male flight attendants had a sour face all the time and were unfriendly. Entertainment and comfort were good. Plenty of selections and decent leg room.
Cons: Boarding could have been more organized, but I think half of the fault belongs to Hong Kong Airport. The boarding in LAX and Bangkok were good. The food was extremely low quality (fatty, muscle, tendon, skin, bone chips in the "meat"). Bad food, even for plane food.
Pros: Food.
Cons: I wish the staff need to smile and have to let the kids quite.
Cons: The cabin was very cold. A little warmer would have been nice.
Pros: The crew was great! It was a 15, almost 16 hour flight on an airplane, I personally would not complain about anything! The food was food and the beers were included!
Pros: Leg room was great Luggage allowance great
Pros: price
Cons: A crew member gave my boyfriends seat to someone else without asking us.
Pros: The price point.
Cons: The consistency of check in. Wasnt charged for bringing skate boards with luggage but was charged on the return home as an exta piece of luggage.
Cons: The online check in for Hong Kong Airlines is very poor. I was unable to check in online and had to go to the airport counter. Not Kayak's fault.
Pros: Good value for the airfare
Cons: Needs new and comfortable seats especially on long flights
