Cons: Prepaid 5 days in advance and did not receive the car class reserved. Reserved full sized truck and received a compact suv. Customer service was poor. Waited 15 minutes at counter for employee to return.

Week Long Stay In Texas
Pros: I liked that when I landed in Killeen, Texas I was able to take care of all the paperwork and get my car keys right next to the luggage pick up site while I waited for my bags. The car was well maintained and the price i was charged was reasonable. Dropping it off did not really present any hassle either.

Negative experience
Pros: The car was clean and in good shape.
Cons: The pickup location didn't have a car ready so we had to drive to another location to pickup a car and I was late to my meeting in Austin. The drop off hertz didn't register my drop off for a few days so I received several calls saying I hadn't dropped my car off. It was a very poor experience.

Long wait at counter with no one there
Pros: Good car, relatively inexpensive
Cons: There was no one at the counter when I arrived and I had to wait approximately 1/2 hour before someone came.

Never again
Pros: Nothing the car was so small . Stood there waiting on a rep for about 20 mins . They charged us twice for the rental an still have not been reimbursed . I will never go there again . Horrible service

Disappointed with available selection
Cons: I had reserved a car that was listed as a Ford Escort, or similar. No big deal. My beater car is an escort and it has a big trunk. When I arrived to pick up my rental, they had two cars to choose from. Both of which were hatchbacks with very limited space for luggage/cargo. I expressed my disappointment with them considering there were probably 50 cars on the Hertz lot, but none of them were for rental as they were for sale. They couldn't even upgrade me to a larger vehicle because there weren't any available. I declined the rental and asked for my $36 insurance refund and they said I would have to go through Kayak to get the refund. I know it was Thanksgiving weekend, and cars were scarce, but they should advertise if it is a hatchback or a regular car.
