The grounds and the architecture is lovely. It is in the woods and you feel very good in the hotel. There are lovely coffee and relaxing areas. Onsen was ok.
The rooms need desperately to be painted. The walls are deteriorating and the paint is pilling off. If dinner is not included in the price it is outragesouly expensive. (About 100 usd per person). There is no option to have dishes a la card. So was breakfast- very expensive. We did find a nice korean restairsnt 3.5 km. down the road even that the hotel mentioned there was no eating options in the vacinity.
Quiet retreat with lovely buildings in sympathy with the surroundings. The staff are friendly helpful and the restaurant is excellent
Gorgeous place, super comfy and spacious bedrooms. Both the breakfasts and dinners were wonderful - especially the breads that I believe were made there.
Clean and peaceful place. The breakfast was amazing too.
The wifi connection was little poor, kept disconnecting:(
Fabulous buildings in a beautiful setting. Serene feeling to the place and our room/suite was very large but with a nice cosy feeling. Simple but well maintained onsen. Our meal in the restaurant was expensive but very nice. Many people in reviews say there are no options other than the restaurant but we also ate a nice ramen place (Kiku Ichi) where we got a warm welcome just a short walk away....
The cafe had lovely bread and baked goods but did not have an extensive lunch menu - that was the only thing I would change. The free coffee in the cafe was lovely though! The bathroom in the suite had a glass door with no blind. Didn't bother me but maybe not to everyones taste!
