Pros: This is a gem of an hotel. The staff are friendly, efficient and courteous. I asked for a few things from room service and they arrived within minutes. The room decor is quirky and so much more interesting than the usual hotel decor. Bed and bedding are superior to the extent that each person has their own doona. There is a radio in the bathroom.

Cons: The bed was fine, it was the way the duvet was done, it was a wrestling match to get into it, what happened to good old fashioned sheets. Pillows were a joke, I used two plus a cushion from the settee to get a bit of firmness. Apart from that it was a great hotel.

I usually like to stay at Hyatt's "Grand" and "Park" collections but this Hyatt Regency blows some of the Grand Hyatt's I have stayed at. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the doorman and hotel staff welcoming me to their property insuring my check in experience was smooth. The room was very clean upon arrival and they even had my name posted on the TV screen; how cool! the automatic blind opener and closer had to be one of the most unique features in the room. I received a treatment at the spa which was awesome, the ladies behind the counter were great, very professional and were good at what they do, it was truly a relaxing experience. Take a chance to indulge in the breakfast buffet the hotel offers ranging from a wide variety of fruits, drinks and omelets cooked to one's liking.

Cons: We found the actual facilities a little underwhelming... there was nothing "wrong", but a number of areas where there's still room for improvement and really, the hotel needs a bit of an update. Small things like: - no charging points beside the beds - some cleaning issues in the room - entering the room directly into the bathroom seemed strange - the food across the board was really average - especially the room service. For the price (US$100+ for 2x club sandwiches, 1x bowl of soup and 3 drinks) we found the standard to be very poor. Breakfast the following morning was "OK" at best.

Pros: We stayed at the hotel for one night, and were entirely satisfied. The room is not big but clean. The bath on balcony was a real surprise. After a busy day it is very pleasant to take a bath on the fresh air. The staff is young and very friendly. Marcel who works at the front desk made our stay at the hotel and in Düsseldorf nice and interesting with his smile and some useful advise. Thank you Marcel!

Pros: We stayed at the hotel for one night, and were entirely satisfied. The room is not big but clean. The bath on balcony was a real surprise. After a busy day it is very pleasant to take a bath on the fresh air. The staff is young and very friendly. Marcel who works at the front desk made our stay at the hotel and in Düsseldorf nice and interesting with his smile and some useful advise. Thank you Marcel!
Cons: I did not like the carpet in the corridor, but it is not very important after you close the door of your room.

Pros: Beautiful room with a nice appealing interior. The bathtub on the balcony is amazing. Perfect place to spend a night in Düsseldorf.
Cons: Nothing in particular. We only stayed one night and did not have breakfast so can't say a lot on any of the other services of the hotel. Location is maybe not most central (but one train station away from Düsseldorf Hbf (Main Station)) and when we were looking for something to eat late at night when we arrived it was quite a long walk into the old twon to find some places which are still open.

Pros: The location is great, the staff very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Lobby has a good atmosphere. They offer a dog-option to add to the booking. There are more than 10 power plugs in the room.
Cons: There was no wardrobe in the room. Unpacking your suitcase and hanging something-up is not really an option. No curtains on the windows, which guests may prefer to darken the room at nights a bit - privacy is not really an issue.

Cons: Where shall I start.... First of all - it was impossible to get in touch with reception via phone. I was waiting for somebody to pick up the phone exactly 3 times - for 3-4min each. 4th time I was lucky and somebody picked up the phone - I just wanted to get information about parking as it's not at the same building, so it was impossible to find without calling. We were driving around the block till I got somebody on the line. Second - room wasn't as stated in the pictures it was super small, even the shower was really tiny (we stayed at the 10th floor). It's stated that superior rooms has wardrobe - well we haven't found it. Not even a space/bench for your suitcase. Bed was not large at all - my boyfriend had his legs out all night. Third - toilet wasn't cleaned properly. When it's all black - you can see stains clearly which was gross.

Cons: From the booking website I had the impression the hotel is closer to the city Centre than it is. I had a Thai soup in the restaurant and I am pretty sure it was from a can. I think you should not offer this is the menu if you don’t cook it there.

Cons: The house keeping service was very bad, surprisingly a group of 5-6 workers came at once to clean within 3 minutes. They don’t even clean the room properly !!! Also on a rainy day we didn’t leave the room in the morning so they came asking us to leave the room or else they will clean it the next day. This was so ridiculous. I didn’t like even the fact no connecting rooms and also the size was very small.

Pros: I really liked the bathroom. I’m 6‘1 and i have never had a sink I didn’t have to bend down to. This Holiday Inn Express has sinks at least 110cm high. I loved it. Besides that, the bathroom was overall pretty nice. Good sized walk in shower with large soap rack, so I could easily fit my shampoo, conditioner and shower gel on it with. Somebody must have actually thought about it. Really great. The entire room was air conditioned and at a comfortable setting at arrival. The bed was just right with even a good sized blanket. Overall really a nice room.

Cons: We arrived late at passed 10pm and the parking garage was full. The public parking garage next door had closed for the night and there were only a few public parking spots at the street available. These however had a „do not park“ starting at 7am. So before breakfast I had to move the car to the then reopened public parking garage. At arrival stuck in the street I called the front desk and the night manager was not to concerned to offer me any assistance. She actually send me on a pretty wild goose chase even further downtown stating there would be more parking garages somewhere on the road. After realizing we would have to walk with our luggage for 25 minutes we went back to the hotel to find an open spot nearby.

Staff are acceptable and helpful but definitely there are plenty of rooms to improve. It is not that hard to say "Morning", "Thank you" and "Bye" to guests I assume especially when I said Hi/Morning to you?!

Cons: What really surprised me in a negative way is that upon arrival in our room, there was an intense cigarette smoke smell. not sure if the previous guest has smoked or whether it already penetrated the bed and carpet. Fact is that it was very nasty. After informing the reception the only answer I got was that I could open a window and hope for it to go away. From a hotel which carries the name Marriott I would expect otherwise. Very disappointed, especially by the receptionists. And this is more a matter of principle than not being able to enjoy my night of sleep.

Cons: The bedroom where I and my friend stayed was not very big, at all. The photos weren't very coincident with the reality of the bedroom. There weren't provided bedsheets which caused us a little bit of discomfort, once a lot of people sleep in the same beds night after night. Also, three main points which I would like to highlight are the distance from the center of the city (easily resolved with the tram stop 100 meters in front, or even 20 to 30 minutes on foot), as well as the fact there is no elevator, what obviously is a problem for people with heavy bags. Last, lacks a common place where people can chill together.

Cons: The room we were given smelled very strongly of cigarette. We immediately complained but the only member of staff there at the time told us the hotel was fully booked for the night so we couldn't switch rooms. He said he'd get back to me once he spoke with the owner, but he never contacted me, neither by phone or by knocking on our room. We ended up sleeping with the windows open, but the smell was still there throughout the night. The air in the hall was much cleaner than that of the room. You get what you pay, I guess.

Cons: When we booked, we were not asked if we wanted a breakfast included. In every single hotel we were the days before, all breakfasts were included, so we forgot that in this one it wasn't the case. The asian girl in charge of cleaning the dining room waited for us to start our breakfast to ask for our "breakfast card". Obviously we didn't have it. So she became VERY UNFRIENDLY, asked for our room keycard and went to the reception desk. When she went back, she just gave us our keycard back, without a word or even a smile. We would have appreciated a request for this breakfast card BEFORE we entered the room. We felt like we were trapped, after feeling that we committed a crime. Too bad, so far it had been a very pleasant stay.

Cons: The place seems rather dated. Some of the staff seems to hold only a tentative grasp of both German and English. We encountered several printouts of information for guests, where the german was bad but understandable, but the english versions would make no sense at all to english speakers whatsoever. This gives a rather unprofessional vibe.

Cons: On two separate occasions for breakfast it was very disappointing. The first day when I took the ham I could smell strong odour. I thought it could be that the German flavours could be strong. Bit when I ate it , it did taste funny and was slightly darker in shade. Took it to the reception and the staff did acknowledge that the ham us not right. But no one came along to check the rest of the ham. On the second day, a few of the apples were bruised. I took one that was badly bruised/spoilt and put on the side with bruised part upright so the staff could see and discard it. But no, latter I went back and saw the same apple in the basket with rest with the bruised part turn down so that no one noticed it.

Cons: The rooms were full of dust ( I had to take my allergy meds for drill allergy!!!!, so you should bring the curtains to the dry clean so the other things in the rooms!!), the bathroom was disgusting: the toilet brush was right next to the shower. The shower curtain was old and undemanding (picture enclosed)! The sheet was dirty (picture enclosed) There was no minibar in the rooms so we asked the receptionist to store a liquid medicine in the fridge. The next morning when I asked for it, they didn't find it, finally they found it in the FREEZER. WHY? I asked for quiet rooms because it was a business trip. We could not sleep because of the noise of the street! We are frequent travelers, and will never stay in this Hotel again!

Cons: The hotel is old. The main issue that disrupted my stay was the lack of Air Conditioner. This hotel has four Stars, I never imagined that with such high rating would be lacking something so standard. I stayed on July 3 rd, on a top floor. We opened all the windows, including some in the roof, which helped a little, but being in Summer, it rained in the middle of the night and water started to fall on top of our beds.
The other issue was that the shower hose was clogged, even though there was lots of pressure in the pipes bearly any would come out. Not a very pleasant stay for a four star hotel.
