Pros: This hotels is just fantastic. We stayed in this superb hotel in the end of November and cannot wait to come back. We loved its classic luxurious style, the most modern technology in the room, the very cosy living room where you can just sit down, relax, play chess. The bed is very comfortable and the TV built in the mirror in the bathroom is quite impressive. If you want to experience a really enjoyable weekend, book a room here! Ramon and Mirka

Cons: The only thing that was disappointing was that the TV/Sky Channels were totally focused, besides German of course, on Russia and Arabic (I think). The only English channels were Sky News/CNN. In the room information folder it had over 84 channels listed including bbc/itv/ etc but they were not set up as they could only take 48 channels. Also no Movies available.

Very small spa and saunas do not start working till late in the morning. Pros: Nice rooms and the hotel itself - quality material, not worn out. Really good. We did not try the restaurants in the hotel but they seem serve gourmet food. Public parking is very convenient just underneath the hotel (24eur per day). Hotel is about 7 minutes stroll from the shopping area.
Cons: Internet is very expensive - come on, this is 21st. century, internet should be included in room price, just like hot water is! The Spa of the hotel is rather small and we found it to be on the coldish side - but anyway, especially in a day time, the view from the top of the building is nice. Also the elavators - I don't understand why hotel building designers always hide stairs - not all hotel guests are not physically fit to walk up/down the stairs, and waiting long time for the elevator in peak times just to go a few floors really makes no sense.

Pros: The hotel was clean, the location was close enough to the main train station, aldstadt, Konigsalle and all the sights. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Cons: The bathroom door was see-through glass, so you can see someone using the toilet from the bed, you would want to have no inhibitions about sharing EVERY bodily function with whoever you happen to be sharing with. Our double room had 2 single beds pushed together and 2 single duvets, they were also on castor wheels so some some mornings we would find our beds had drifted a few feet apart. I would not return because of this point alone.There is only one slow elevator for 5 floors and over 100 rooms, On our day of departure it was out of order and we were on the 4th floor. Finally breakfast is €19 each and another €6 if delivered to your room, so if you fancy a romantic breakfast in bed for two some morning it will set you back €44!

Cons: The room we were given smelled very strongly of cigarette. We immediately complained but the only member of staff there at the time told us the hotel was fully booked for the night so we couldn't switch rooms. He said he'd get back to me once he spoke with the owner, but he never contacted me, neither by phone or by knocking on our room. We ended up sleeping with the windows open, but the smell was still there throughout the night. The air in the hall was much cleaner than that of the room. You get what you pay, I guess.

Cons: When we booked, we were not asked if we wanted a breakfast included. In every single hotel we were the days before, all breakfasts were included, so we forgot that in this one it wasn't the case. The asian girl in charge of cleaning the dining room waited for us to start our breakfast to ask for our "breakfast card". Obviously we didn't have it. So she became VERY UNFRIENDLY, asked for our room keycard and went to the reception desk. When she went back, she just gave us our keycard back, without a word or even a smile. We would have appreciated a request for this breakfast card BEFORE we entered the room. We felt like we were trapped, after feeling that we committed a crime. Too bad, so far it had been a very pleasant stay.

Cons: I arrived at 9PM, and I got the key for the last and in the morning booked/confirmed room. When I arrived at the room the door was open, the bed used, and the towels on the floor. Becuase this was the last room the very friendly recepcionist applogysed a couple of times, and called for a roommate (who was already at her home). 50 minutes later I room was fixed. I hope not to have this delay in check in (anywhere) often, but at least they solved it as good they can. And hey, wrere people work, mistakes can happen. If you dont work, you dont make mistakes.

Cons: The hotel is old. The main issue that disrupted my stay was the lack of Air Conditioner. This hotel has four Stars, I never imagined that with such high rating would be lacking something so standard. I stayed on July 3 rd, on a top floor. We opened all the windows, including some in the roof, which helped a little, but being in Summer, it rained in the middle of the night and water started to fall on top of our beds.
The other issue was that the shower hose was clogged, even though there was lots of pressure in the pipes bearly any would come out. Not a very pleasant stay for a four star hotel.
