Pros: Our flight was delayed and we arrived late at night, so unfortunately didn't have the chance to spend much time at the hotel. The night porter made a real effort to welcome us and arranged excellent room service. Everything about the property and room was great. Reception advised us very well regarding restaurants and made bookings.
Cons: I was informed immediately after making the (non-refundable) booking that the restaurant was closed for a private function on the night of our stay. Given that the restaurant will be an important factor in many guests' decisions to stay in the hotel, I recommend checking before you book. To be fair the manager did suggest alternative restaurants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible small hotel with exceptional staff, amenities, beautiful rooms, the best breakfast, fantastic location.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: VERY LOVELY ROOM!!!!! we love our room and we have snapped a lot of photos for our memory in the room. The bedroom is also well equipped with everything, from the preparation of the room to the friendliness of the staffs, everything was great!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about it was amazing. Despite being in the city it still managed to capture the feel of a country chateau. Staff were wonderful in all respects. Would love to return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about it is first class, yet completely unpretentious. Nobody will be disappointed. Very pleasant and friendly team. Beautiful room, fantastic dinner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed with lovely garden views. An extremely large bathroom with separate shower and toilet facilities was most enjoyable. Toiletries provided were thoughtful and generous as well as the little touches of welcome macarons and departure lemon cake with drinks for our road trip was all YUM! The staff were exceptionally helpful, considerate and professional. Dinner at the Michelin Star restaurant was phenomenal. I would recommend the hotel highly for a wonderful experience and memorable stay.
Cons: I cannot imagine what guests could possibly not like about the Hotel. It is truly an exceptional establishment with an amazing compliment of staff.

Pros: Interior is perfect. It was a pleasure for my architectural eyes. Antonio Luppi, Eine dra, Tom Dixon’s furniture are placed in the hotel. Highly recommend. Of course it’s pricy, but design costs. Really good wine choice in minibar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A stunning find in Bordeaux! Hotel Yndo is an outstanding Place. In our humble ( but experienced based) opinion it is one of the very best hotels in Bordeaux . Everything is perfect from start to finish. Excellent welcome by everyone at the reception. All staff are fully committed, and will go out of their way to help you out and make your time at the hotel unforgettable . They upgraded our room with kindness, and generosity . They are highly professional and again attentive to your needs. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. This is extremely rare to find that. Fine lunch , and an appreciation of excellent products is an experience in itself but when you are staying in a beautiful place such as Hotel Yndo , you really appreciate how wonderful the whole experience is . Breakfast will need a full review to itself to do it full service. Just to say, it is superb. Each room is decorated to a high standard and attention to details is present throughout. The cleaning is meticulous . Thank you to everyone one for your looking after us. We will definitely be returning and recommending this exceptional hotel in Bordeaux to all our family and friends. Not to be missed!
Cons: Everything was perfect !A

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This accommodation was better than we could have expected! We arrived after check in hours but due to regular contact from Pierre leading up to our stay where he provided details of how to access, our minds were at ease that everything was in place. Upon arrival it was the smoothest out of hours check in we’ve ever experienced with everything in place as advised. The room was spaciest, high spec, a great location - just as per the pictures. The extra touches with the complimentary snacks and drinks were a welcoming addition. Pierre made the right amount of contact to check we were happy without imposing on our stay. Any request we had, he assisted and I can not recommend booking a wine tour with him enough - it was the highlight of our trip!! Their restaurant was also lovely, staff helpful and good food. We managed to get a table without booking however I would recommend to book restaurants in advance as we struggled to get in a lot of places even though it was January! I’ve already recommended this as a place to stay to friends. Looking forward to booking our return stay!!
Cons: Hot water ran out quickly
10.0 Excellent

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Une Chambre Chez Dupont is a fantastic B&B in Bordeaux, in a fantastic and quiet quarter (quartier des antiquaire) of Bordeaux not far from the city center (15min by walk). The room was spacious, fancy and clean, with a nice view of the Église St Louis des Chartrons. The owner was very kind and helpful, and he organized for us the tour of some wineries in Saint Emilion.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely, and very large. The decor was done like a boutique hotel and was very eclectic. The neighbourhood was very safe and many locals were out in the bars at night and not tourists which we liked. We knew this was a room only in a building so we were not expecting any facilities as such, but it was good to have a fridge with juice, water, biscuits and cakes available. We loved the Pan Am trolley in our room, which was called Sanchez. We also had 3 large windows with balconies and black out blinds. There was a boulangerie downstairs also and a few cafes close by for breakfast.
Cons: Nothing, it was what we were expecting
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great Room Easy check in Highly recommendable. Thanks
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Jean Pierre was a great host. Very friendly and helpful.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Our room was super
Cons: Our friends room was on 3rd floor with sloping ceilings . They had to be careful not to hit their heads.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location in Chartrons is fantastic for visiting Bordeaux. It is around the corner from the Garonne river and a short walk from the centre of Bordeaux. The bakery next door is also fantastic. Our room, Salmide, was amazing. It had everything we needed, the bed was extremely comfortable and the surprise view of the cathedral was fantastic. The host was very friendly and the communication was excellent throughout.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Good location on the tram route so everything we wanted to see was easily accessible. Very helpful, smiling and knowledgeable staff, great to have a full sized fridge in the room, given how hot the weather was. Nice complimentary tray to get you started and a great little supermarket practically next door. Bed very comfortable, effective aircon.
Cons: Nothing, all good
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Sizable room, kitchenette. Spotlessy clean. Friendly, helpfull staff, English spoken.
Cons: The neighbourhood is “under construction”. There is not much there. You have to travel to the sights. The connection by tram is really good and the tramstop is less than 100 meters from the entrance of the hotel.
7.0 Good
Pros: It's clean and convinent. Facilities
Cons: A bit far from the center We didn't find the bed so comfortable
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value. Handy facilities and Supermarket around the corner. Kitchenette very useful for cooking in. Tram and Ferry stops convenient
Cons: Not sure aircon working properly but rooms nice temperature any way
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was very clean. We also liked the kitchen equipped with a dish washing machine, Nespresso coffee machine, complimentary water, tea, coffee and cookies. That was really nice. The staff at the reception was always friendly and helped us with all the questions we had. The location was ok, 10 min by tram to the city center. If the weather is good, it's even possible to walk (35-40 min to the city center). The apartment is very close to the tram station (1min walk).
Cons: One night we tried to open the window because it was too hot, but outside was very loud due to car noise, so we couldn't sleep. Air-conditioning was turned on, but didn't help much. Breakfast was ok, but for that price we found really good places with a better breakfast in the city center.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very comfortable room, with lots of space. Clean and well equipped. easily accessible with supermarket almost next door. Excellent good aircon system was very much appreciated during the heatwave
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect for our needs

Hôtel Vatel - Bordeaux - Building
6
8.9 Excellent (794 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hôtel Vatel places you in the heart of Bordeaux, within a 15-minute walk of Bordeaux Wine and Trade Museum and Contemporary Art Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was wonderful for boarding a river boat the next day. We could simply walk there. It was a little farther to the old town, but still an easy walk for anyone who is used to walking.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, easy access to riverside and only 2 min walk to tram stop. Friendly, helpful staff
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Our room was huge and so comfortable.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was good value and delicious, albeit brought on trays at a set time to your table, after having pre-ordered the night before. The staff are young trainees for Tourism and most willing to assist. What they sometimes lacked in local knowledge they made up for in friendliness. The room was spacious and quiet and location, though not in city centre, was opposite the tram and amidst many good restaurants, opposite the River and several Outlet Stores.
Cons: We were allocated an Accessible room beside the lift, which we fortunately do not require, but it was spacious and quiet even though beside the lift. We had booked the more superior room and would have preferred this rather than room with Accessible features. The Hotel is a Tourism Training Hotel so there were lots of students around the hotel, which added lively vibe, but many outside the entrance smoking...not such a good look.
6.0 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room was clean but we were not told that this is a training facility for hospitality students. With that in mind you might expect higher than average service? No, just swarms of students in front of the building and rushing down hallways to make classes, posters on walls and doors re: curriculum and advertising careers. Although the staff at reception were polite and accommodating, It was an unexpected experience.
Cons: The hotel is not in a pretty part of the town. Next time we will opt for closer to the Villiage center, within walking distance to the better restaurants, the fountains and markets.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very courteous and eager to please.
Cons: The property was clean and quiet with a lot of amenities. The location was very convenient.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: quay area with shops and restaurants across the road and lovely walk along river into main part of town and short walk along river to Cite du Vin. as it's part of the hotel school majority of the staff are young, helpful and enthusiastic. The Bordeaux breakfast of baguette with cheeses, hams and jams is great.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in good location and the room was modern and spacious with good aircon. The breakfast ordering system made breakfast in your room as a standard offer, which was nice treat.
Cons: The parking was not so easy as the ticket system didn't work for us and there was some confusion.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service and a lovely. room with a very nice fairly firm bed.
Cons: It was all good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, clean hotel with perfect location to visit La Rochelle.
Cons: Rooms were rather small which is a shame as we were supposedly upgraded.

Cons: The room was very comfortable and the building was very historic. Nice decor and was very clean. A good night's sleep had by all. The breakfast was very nice but unfortunately too early for us to enjoy it completely as we had a flight to catch. Will definitely recommend this hotel and return to stay when we visit Bordeaux again to continue our exploration of this beautiful city.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great little hotel - comfortable, easy, convenient, great breakfast and warm, helpful & friendly staff. Was worth paying up for a Superior room for the extra space and quiet, away from the street.
Cons: Why oh why do so many hotels persist in providing doonas/duvets and no top sheet when it is high summer and consistently over 30o?!? Have they never heard of cotton blankets?? All these hotels leave warm & fuzzy “Save the Planet” notes about hanging your towel up to help alleviate all the laundry loads - but then the bedding requires an unachievable level of air conditioning to justify them! It would clearly save the planet a whole lot more if tens of thousands of hotel rooms didn’t need to use so much air con............

Positives focus on reception staff-very courteous, most helpful with restaurant bookings, taxis etc. if looking for clean, moderately priced hotel for basic functional needs in the core of this beautiful 18th and 19th century city, you can't go wrong.
Cons: Unfortunately lobby, reception, bar areas very outdated, dark and unappealing. Rooms extremely small for couples.Breakfast buffet very ordinary in a dreary second floor space. Not worth 14 euros unless included in room price.

Pros: Location, friendly, good breakfast, clean.

Pros: Tge room was exceptionally spacious and the bed very comfortable
Cons: A shower cap would have been useful. The shower cciuld have been hotter.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is great.
Cons: The gym is quite basic
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent customer service. Everyone at the reception was super helpful and make you feel very welcomed. The room is generous in size and bed is comfortable. The car park is very secure and that was the whole reason why we chose the hotel.
Cons: There's nothing we don't like however, for the benefit of those thinking of booking the hotel, please bear in mind that it is a little out of the way of the main drag/old town. That said, we bought a one day tram pass and commuting was not a problem. It is a short walk to La cite du vin, and being a bit further away, it is quiet thus giving us a good night sleep.
5.5 Okay
Cons: It s too pricy for what you have, it s clean, the staff is ok, but seriously when you pay 150 euros per night, you except much more they propose actually, i dont know how this hotel have 4 stars, for the design? And we didn’t have hot water for 1 day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything, the beautiful room, the elegant bath, the staff, the breakfast, the parking, and the availability of city transportation right in front of the door..

Pros: The apartment was spacious and comfy, staff very friendly, breakfast delicious. Le Bouffard on the corner opens for coffee at 7:00am! Reasonable walking distance to the river and attractions.
Cons: The shower cubicle is very small!
7.0 Good
Pros: Very friendly and helpfull staff. Garage for car nearby very practical. In the old city center, close to shops, restaurant and city highlights. And still very quiet location.
Cons: Airco in the room making a lot of noise and not able to keep the room cool on very hot summet days. Shower worn out.

Pros: Good location, nice host, genuin apartment
Cons: Very pricy despite very nice hospitality
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is right at the center of Bordeaux and walking distance to amazing sites.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A great location in the centre of the city but on a quiet road. An older building with plenty of character. Rooms large and well appointed. Parking a short distance away in an underground secure garage. Great breakfast.
Cons: Some may not like the stairs, 62 steps to the top rooms. No lift available. There is no view worth looking at from the top rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place in a great location
Cons: Nothing!
7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast, spacious room, helpful staff and a great location in the centre of Bordeaux, with parking available if needed at €15 a day. All good except for the absolute inability to sleep in our room.
Cons: I'm sure that any of the other rooms would have been a better bet. However, our 'studio' was in the roof space and was unbearably hot throughout our stay, which was admittedly during warm weather (c 24 or 25 degrees during the day). The room was advertised with 'air conditioning', which was the main reason we booked it. In fact, a portable air conditioning unit was all that was present - as incredibly noisy as it was ineffective. It was also quite smelly, as these machines tend to be. We wondered why little earplugs had been left by the bed, but soon figured it out. Impossible to sleep with the portable machine on without the ear plugs, but equally impossible to sleep with ear plugs in. With the aircon machine off it was unbearably hot, rather then just unpleasantly warm. Altogether hardly any sleep for 2 nights. If BOOKING.COM is going to advertise rooms with Aircon it should check that it actually has it, or if it's a just a portable, wheel around unit it should specify as such. Bordeaux in July is not an ideal place to be without Aircon, especially in a loft room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous place! We were given the junior suite at the top of the building. Absolutely gorgeous and very spacious. Fridge, kettle, wine glasses, opener, coffee maker provided. Gregory couldn't have been nicer. There is a private garage for 4 cars. You need to request a space for €15 per day. We only stayed one night so that was fine but could be expensive if staying longer. Light but lovely breakfast provided..
Cons: Nothing really!

5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was good
Cons: The room was very small and furnishings and linens were very basic
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Overall cleanliness...the whole place was spotlessly clean and as one other reviewer noted smelt like a Spa! Beautiful decor too! Location was excellent! It was very peaceful...which is why i would have liked to relax and unwind with a glass of wine longer than 8 pm! Breakfast was delicious!
Cons: Although staff very polite didn't exactly stretch to give five star customer service. Lots of notices everywhere with don't do.... No lift. As a 67 year old a little daunting. The terrace was wonderful but bar closed at 8 pm. We weren't allowed our own drinks so nothing after that. As a single elderly traveller i was looking forward to unwinding in the beautiful garden.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An oasis in the middle of Bordeaux. Quiet room and lovely terrace to sit and read or have breakfast. Charming staff. It was a real treat to stay there!
Cons: Nothing!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, and peaceful in the heart of Bordeaux. Our taxi driver from the Airport said the Hotel was a good compromise, but we thought it was a great choice.
Cons: The room was a little small but it is an old (and beautifully renovated) building in the middle of the City. So no complaints really.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely small hotel. Peaceful, al fresco breakfast in leafy courtyard and I loved the eclectic soft furnishings and bric-a-brac. The breakfast cost 12 Euros and, personally I found it perfect. Freshly squeezed OJ, fresh croissants and bread. Fresh
Cons: Unfortunately we were given a room where the air con didn’t work, so had 2 sleepless nights before they moved us on our last night to one with working AC, which meant we had a good night’s sleep before flying home the next morning.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: All round pleasurable experience. Nice room, friendly staff, lovely breakfast. Will return again.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a room off the terrace which meant that we could have breakfast on our own small patio and drinks there on the balmy evenings. We were there in 40 degree heat and the airconditioning was fantastic and very quiet. We also liked the breakfast.
Cons: Internet availability was good but not great for working remotely.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, deco, setting etc.
Cons: No lift, and we were on 3rd floor ( In Europe 3rd floor means 4th floor in many other countries), and we had very heavy luggages, plus i was feeling very ill, so 4 floors I were really struggling.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Don't think anything was to my liking! Air conditioning was working... but needed.
Cons: Very unwelcoming entrance. Obvious need for security with code locks and video cameras. Code changed without informing guests. No staff after 8 pm. Small room and bathroom without ventilation. No parking. Difficult to find using Sat Nav.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was well equipped, clean and spacious. It was just a bit strange to have the toilet so far away from the bathroom and hand washing possibilities. Location is good, not a very long walk to the real center. The parking is located just beneath the hotel but entrance around the corner from the entrance. There is no drop off zone in front of the hotel entrance.
Cons: It would be good to have a small sink in the toilet to wash hands after a visit but I know it is not standard in France.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Both rooms were spacious & included kitchen facilities which are very helpful with a family. There is a shared washing machine and dyer which are very useful for a family on holidays. Very good location for airport bus.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The appartment was very nice, well proportioned and well though out. It had a lovely balcony and it was quiet and very well located. Easy to get to different places. The bus stop from and to the airport (ligne 1) is outside the apparthotel, very convenient. Since the toilet is separate from the bathroom, it would be useful to have a wash hand basin in the toilet. Since there is no cleaning of the appartment, a brush and a dustpan would be useful. If we go back to Bordeaux we will stay there again. Thank you very much.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location and easily accessible by public transport.
6.8 Good
Pros: The amenities and room size was good for 3 people.
Cons: The room was not clean and we had to wipe the floor since it was very dusty.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, spacious, a great location with very friendly and efficient staff (who allowed us a later checkout)
Cons: Having to pay €16 for parking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect. The rooms are spacious and clean. Even though you pay for breakfast I thought it was worth it. I'm very pleased with the hotel. Would definitely recommend it.
Cons: Theres nothing I didnt like. It was a 8n a great location, very spacious, and I'd stay there again.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Fridge was noisy. Difficult when sleeping.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is very comfortable. Shops are quite close and the historical center as well. The rooms are equipped with all necessary. Parking space is opposite the entrance that is nice.
Cons: It was raining for 1 day and it was a problem with umbrella. They have only one. But naturally that is a great issue. The hotel corresponds the description completely.

Pros: Great location but we could not get enough rest due to the noise of other guests and the other noises as detailed below. Such a shame as it could be excellent.
Cons: Very loud, did not meet the expectations of the price and being a boutique hotel. The staff did try but unfortunately our stay was still marred by the noise from other guests, the kitchen staff and the road traffic.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: The buffet breakfast was a huge disappointment considering everything else about the hotel and certainly wasn't worth 17 euros per head

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely small hotel, good location with very friendly staff

Close to the Tauzia tramway stop, the Hotel Mercure Bordeaux Centre Gare is 450 metres from the station and the Place de la Bourse, a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. This modern hotel offers spacious, air-conditioned rooms in a calm and soothing envir onment. Get to your business meetings or the tourist attractions of the town centre easily from the Saint-Jean district. In summer, relax on our restaurant patio.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. We enjoyed the terrace aspect too. The location was perfect close to the train station with a supermarket close by.
Cons: The alien idea of a mobile reception was rather confusing and unnecessary. We also disagreed with a €200 charge taken from our card immediately, something we normally only find in apartments, yet only refunded 4 days after our departure. Room service hours were limited.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: fantastic breakfast and extraordinary personnel that was very friendly. in the morning they came to us to ask us whether we slept well and whether we needed something in particular. We received an upgrade for our room without having to ask for it and without surcharge.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to the station and public transport, therefore easy on arrival and for travelling to centre. Good air conditioning as temperatures extremely high on out visit. Also had a terrace adjoining but too hot to sit out!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel for a short holiday! Very friendly staff, good location! The hotel is quite truly worthy of its two stars.
Cons: No comments, everything was fine
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff, felt really welcome. They stayed very relaxed even if they seemed to be understaffed at times. Printed out tickets, went to our room to check out problems with our safe, erc, etc. Room was very nice, good bed and nicely decorated. Fine breakfast with lots of options
Cons: We booked a room with terrace but the inner squire on which you look is not very enticing. I only would advise you to book a terrace if you are a smoker. In your room you can hear some noise from the hall, not completely soundproof and the roof in the parking cellar is quite dirty.
6.8 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed Good breakfast
Cons: Out dated and over priced
7.0 Good
Pros: Quiet, cool a/c. Comfortable bed.
Cons: The tramway to the city is closed due to repairs. I was obliged to cross a busy road for the replacement bus. Small bathroom, leaky shower splash glass.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good value one night stay in Bordeaux. In the centre, but the more run down end of town, but only a short tram ride or walk away from all the good touristy bits. Underground car park useful although you have to pay 13 Euros per night.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, staff
Cons: Could be a bit cleaner.
Hotel Konti by HappyCulture - Bordeaux - Building

8.0 Excellent (1,617 reviews)
Overview Reviews
In Bordeaux, in the Grands Hommes district, the Hotel Continental turns into the Konti. Welcome to a luxuriant cottage with the relaxed atmosphere of a guest house. Oscar Ono from Maison Numéro 20, had fun mixing architecture and period decorative elements with an environment of eclectic objects. As a result, rebirth from the original Le Coq Hardi building, the Bordeaux Brasserie that in 1912 was the meeting place for good society after the theatres with its ballroom and hotel rooms. On a green, grey and celadon background, the lounges alternate breakfast rooms and informal meeting areas on the first floor. The warm and functional rooms have a vintage look. With their mottled furniture, textured and graphic wall effects, felted elegance, they form reassuring refuges associated with delightfully retro bathrooms. Hotel Konti is ideally located in the heart of the golden triangle of Bordeaux, a stone's throw from Place des Grands Hommes, bounded by the courtyards of Clémenceau, the intendance and the Allées de Tourny.

5.5 Okay
Pros: Well situated for the city. Helpful staff.
Cons: Public facilities - toilets, coffee machine etc poorly cleaned. Breakfast mediocre for E18
6.3 Good
Pros: The location, shower and room decor
Cons: No porter to assist with bags, very young and incompetent staff, did not get allocated rooms next to each other despite being a family of 4 and despite request for the same, requested breakfast for 7.15am and was told would be fine due to early flight, however, no staff for breakfast until 7.45, many guests were waiting and no apology from staff. Spoke to receptionist at 7.30am and was told to wait until the breakfast lady arrived. Had to skip breakfast as a result. Very disappointed. Allocated room next to stairs and lifts with young child, very noisy so did not sleep. Whole stay ruined by incompetent staff.
