Pros: The hotel is very nice. The breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly and my room was very clean.
Cons: Having to carry heavy suitcases up the entrance stairs. My standard double room was very small. It was not large enough for me to open up my hard shell Samsonite suitcase on the bedroom floor. I could only open it up in the entrance of the room outside the bathroom which was across the entry door. So each time I wanted to leave my room I would have move the open case away from the doorway or close the case. The space around the bed was so small I could hardly open my hard shell carry on luggage case. I did not feel it was good value for money at a cost of DKK 2,580 per night (approx. AUD 556) due to the size of room and quality of furnishings in the room.

Cons: The only complaint is that when we asked for a taxi on departure the concierge agreed a fixed rate (DKK275) with the taxi driver that was much more than the cost of the journey on the meter (DKK 135). The rooms needed some updating/refurbishment (e.g. the bathrooms).

The hotel should have made some sort of small gesture to compensate us for this.
Also the breakfast included thawed frozen fruit which had turned rancid one day. The next hotel in Bergen had FRESH fruit. like melon, cantaloupe and kiwi. was was cut up and delicious.

Amir and other kitchen staff did a wonderful job. The location was good with easy access to many attractions. The concierge ( Patrick, Tom ) are absolutely the best in helping customers. Adrian helped us with our requests. The front desk team, especially Rachel, were pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Always had a smile while performing their duties under trying circumstance. The restaurant staff were also terrific, but the menu needs to be expanded for such a magnificent hotel. Will stay there again if we return to Amsterdam. Thanks to everyone for a pleasant experience.

Cons: When booking I wrote a special remark that I would like a quiet room on the upper floor. The hotel gave me a room on the ground floor but it was double room instead of single for the same money. The window faced technical backyard with gates and a back door. Between 2 and 3 am I woke up because of a terrible noise! A truck entered this backyard and stood there under my window with working engine. Meanwhile some heavy trolleys growled in the corridor behind my door. I guess I was given a room in the corridor through which they bring out dirty laundry or garbage at night. So, absolutely obvious that this can't be a quiet room! Why did I received it when I specially asked for a quiet room?! I had a business meeting next morning and it was extremely important for me to have a good sleep. Thanks to the room 0017 in fact it appeared to be the worst night in hotels I've ever had.

Cons: The whole place is fitted out with animals skins and dead animal heads? Being a vegan this was disturbing. Even the lift is lined with animal skin, this is not a place for vegetarians or vegans. We had to change rooms as the first one had a wall in the middle - which cut the bedroom in half, this was the most odd thing - so I called down to reception to ask for a different room, the receptionist was kind enough to say yes, but said he didn't know which rooms had a wall in the middle so I would need to check myself? These were supposed to be superior rooms, £1900 for 6 nights, that's not cheap so I had expected more frankly. Only paper cups in the room to drink tea or coffee from, they don't stand more than one cup so take your own. Balcony has a table and two chairs on it, which can only be put up when the doors are shut due to lack of space, if you shut the doors to do that you get locked out as there are no handles on the outside.. There is no mini bar, so don't believe their website or bookings sites.

Urban House is perfect for short stays when you only need a bed to sleep for few hours and despite having a room facing the street I had a good night sleep. The self check-in was easy, room was small but enough for 4 people, although I was happy to have the upper part of a bunk bed cause the other two girls (strangers) had to sleep facing each other, which I wouldn't be able to do. Otherwise, the bathroom was clean, you get fresh linen and towels and there's a hairdryer. I liked the common area with several couches and armchairs as well as the lockers where I could keep my stuff before check-in and after the check-out (just note that they are not free and you need to pay 5 krona/hour in coins). In general, my one-night stay was easy and satisfactory.

Cons: dishonesty about the price: the hostel is already quite expensive for european standards but the customer must pay every slightest extra service. the exchange rate charge applied by steel house are the highest one in the city. in fact it is not a hostel, it is an expensive sleping machine.

Pros: The property is in immaculate condition. Everything was clean, fresh, in good working order and well thought out. It’s in a convenient and quiet location just outside of tourist core. The young man who checked me in (Nickolas) could not have been more helpful in trying to secure a quiet room. The coffee was great and cheap and the bed comfortable if small. This was my first stay at a hostel and I was amazed at the number of amenities available.
Cons: The double room that I reserved was not available so I was given a room with six bunk beds. It worked fine for one person but there was only one small locker per person had the room been full. Additional lockers were available in the sub basement which I used for 5hrs after checkout and before my train which cost ~5€. It was more for 24hrs. The last evening a large group of unsupervised high school aged children arrived and unfortunately ruined what had been a surprisingly pleasant stay. They ran down the hallway and jumped off the bunk beds in the very early morning for at least an hour and made it impossible to sleep. It would be helpful for management to post signs, similar to the ones regarding messing up other people’s beds, reminding guests that the hotel rooms are used generally for sleeping and to be considerate of the other guests. I’m a 62 yo female who was a “hostel virgin“ and probably not the average customer so please consider that caveat when reading my critique.

Pros: I loved the vibe in general! Super cool building and facilities, as well as the location. Comfy beds and I liked the fact that the beds had a small "wall" to close it off from the others.
Cons: The rooms are small and the cabinets as well, which complicated things for the people with a suitcase. Also, I found it suboptimal that the bathroom/shower was inside the room itself. Every time any of the facilities were used all the others woke up when lights were turned on in the bathroom/shower and other sounds. Doors to the bathroom didn't close properly.

Cons: HOWEVER, the floor of our room was NOT clean AT ALL. It was dirty and dusty and there were two huge spiders + spider nets in the corner of the bathroom ceiling. The clean service is every 4 days, so we had to ask the cleaning lady to (exceptionally) come up to our room to vacuum at least the bathroom floor as it was full of hair. This has been the only downside of our staying at the Steel house. I would suggest having the cleaning service every other day, especially in the quadruple rooms, or have a vacuum cleaner available for guests to use at their convenience.

Sides are partially closed giving extra privacy, light and power outlets included in each bed, plus a little storage sack on the wall. -Towel and bedsheets included in price (although for 50eur for a single bed in a 4person shared room.... They better be...) -Bar and communal area -Organized events Overall, I am happy and would probably stay here again.
Cons: -50eur for a 4person shared room is the most expensive hostel I've ever seen, but Scandinavia is also the most expensive place I've ever visited by a huge margin... -Bathroom door is frosted glass and the bathroom light is automatic only (cannot be turned off manually).... Every time someone uses the bathroom at night, the light fills the entire room for awhile until the timer turns off. -The door to my room did not shut correctly, you had to slam it shut. One of my roommates didn't realize this so when he left, the door wasnt actually closed. Luckily I was still in the room, but anyone could have walked in... -You are not allowed to consume your own food/drink outside of the kitchen.... And you must pay extra to use the kitchen... (Or the pool... Or the lockers... Or anything else. ) I asked the bartender to open a bottle of lemonade for me as I was leaving and he made sure to tell me that I can't drink it there (though he did open it for me without hesitation so bonus points there)

Cons: the hotel was not in full capacity in low season. the room given to us was all the way in the back next to the dumpster with utilities view. When requested a different room with a more decent view, received the same response of having no other room in the same category and requested higher price for a different room. My reservation was not cheap, and i don't think is fair to be in an unpleasant room when the hotel has available capacity to make its guests´stay pleasant.

Also when we checked in later we were told that hotel was overbooked and so they had to give us a family room-sounds great and room itself was ok but bathroom was awful-big lump of black hair in sink-great big chunks of the mirror was missing, and one side of the shower was disgusting with thick black mould all down the tiles on one side.Also the toilet paper was so thin and such poor quality-very disappointing

There is a lot of walking to the bus stops, central station, construction is everywhere, no place to eat nearby and it just seems isolated despite the fact that the air distance from Tivoli park is small. Not a good choice for people who want to walk to nearby restaurants, parks, etc.

Cons: I arrived after 12:00 and was told that a room at my level was not available while others were allowed to go to their rooms. I asked if I could be called or texted when it was available, I was told no, I just needed to keep coming back and asking. That is not 4-star service.
I found out later from a friend that she was told the same thing, but she told them no, I want a room now, and she was given one.
On top of that, the rooms are very small for a 4-star hotel. I won't stay there again.

I think the hostel was completely unfriendly and greedy, rudely selling everything, it is not the cheapest in town so you expect some politeness and friendliness, but nope! The stuff at the restaurant were pretty rude as well.

Cons: Mozambique is next to a security gate and the main door to the accommodation and this brought about a few sleepless nights as a result of people coming in at all hours with no consideration to the people that might be sleeping there. No bath robe and not even bottled water was served for the rooms which is strange. The escalators of hotel reminds one of those very primitive ones in a sub standard place. Pros: The hotel is simple (which ensures costs are kept to a minimum and thus allows for a cheaper room) - easy check in, easy and quick access to the lifts, small room which was fine - I just needed a place to sleep and shower so it was fine for that. If you plan to spend time in the room for more than sleeping and showering then maybe the room will not be suitable for you.
The breakfast was simple but nice, fresh and wholesome. Staff (reception and restaurant) were friendly at all times and also helpful. The snack bar at reception was reasonably prices and staff were happy to help make a tea/coffee or provide a sandwich (pre packaged).
The only thing which was a minor inconvenience was the location - with the hotel tucked away about 10 min walk from the Central Train station - this meant there was no restaurant or convenience shop close by and required a 10min walk there and 10 min walk back. As I said - not a major problem but something to be aware of if you prefer a hotel that is in the middle of shops etc - this is not that hotel. The hop-on-hop-off bus has a stop just a 3 min walk from the hotel - which was great.

Pros: Very clean and functional room. The staff were polite and efficient. The breakfast was great, choice and taste wise. Our room had a fabulous view of the fireworks in Tivoli Gardens on the Saturday, which was an added bonus.

Pros: Great value, located close to the Central Station and Tivoli Gardens. The room was spacious and clean, the check in/out process was simple and fast. They also have lockers where you can store luggage for 20 DKK/day, cheaper than other options in town.
Cons: The bathroom is the only minus. It's not a separated room but rather an area enclosed by frosted glass walls. You can still see people inside and you can definitely hear everything, so using the bathroom makes for an uncomfortable experience.

Pros: The hotel is simple (which ensures costs are kept to a minimum and thus allows for a cheaper room) - easy check in, easy and quick access to the lifts, small room which was fine - I just needed a place to sleep and shower so it was fine for that. If you plan to spend time in the room for more than sleeping and showering then maybe the room will not be suitable for you.
The breakfast was simple but nice, fresh and wholesome. Staff (reception and restaurant) were friendly at all times and also helpful. The snack bar at reception was reasonably prices and staff were happy to help make a tea/coffee or provide a sandwich (pre packaged).
The only thing which was a minor inconvenience was the location - with the hotel tucked away about 10 min walk from the Central Train station - this meant there was no restaurant or convenience shop close by and required a 10min walk there and 10 min walk back. As I said - not a major problem but something to be aware of if you prefer a hotel that is in the middle of shops etc - this is not that hotel. The hop-on-hop-off bus has a stop just a 3 min walk from the hotel - which was great.
All in all - this is a great hotel which suited my needs and ensured I had a great stay in Copenhagen.

Cons: Rooms were the smallest I ever saw in years of vacation travel. The smallest cabin on a cruise ship was larger. There was a queen sized bed that had two sides against a wall and the third side about 10 inches from a third wall. This made it very difficult to get into for elderly.

Cons: It was all good. I probably didnt realise my room would be as small as it was but thats my fault as i didn't do my research. It is budget accomodation that gives you a place to sleep and other conveniences outside your room. For that reason it is perfect for budget accomodation.

Cons: I was in a room directly over where the smokers stood outside Cabinn City Copenhagen Room 121 - at times it was very unpleasant, it was warm and I needed to keep the window open but the smell was not good. My electrics were a bit dodgy - switched off the main light and the TV and plug sockets all went off, so charging my phone was problematic. Reported it at the time, but it was a weekend so no electrician available - not a huge issue but inconvenient.

Pros: Our room was directly next to the station and we could loudly hear the train, and even the voice of the announcer, all night. I was not able to sleep for a second. When brought to the attention of the staff they were rude and pointed out we should’ve known. The receptionist’s service and attitude was probably one of the worst I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. The hallways of the hotel smelt like cigarettes and the bed sheets like vinegar.

This hotel lacks that in all features, from the random missing ceiling panels to the individual lights (maybe 10-15 switches) in the rooms to the giant curtain covering ...a wall... This place needs updating. Nothing was that bad, but we stayed in nicer hostels in Copenhagen

Cons: Listing this hotel with “parking” means every hotel in the world in a city offers parking, because there are streets around it where you can pay a fee to the city for parking! Also, there was no provided smart phone as advertised, the room size of the biggest room is not matching the 19m2 and the cleaners managed to move almost any part of our personal belongings, but not picking up the towels and robes provided by the hotel. The building resembles nothing like the photos you see, it‘s old and not that designed at all. There‘s an entrance hall added to the building, that‘s the only part which is bright and chique. Rest resembles the bates motel! Breakfast was lousy for the price of the room. No fresh rolls, really standard buffet. Worst place for that money I have ever stayed in! Had much better places for half the price!

Cons: Hotel is located literally right next to the train tracks. Half of the rooms (odd numbered) would be ok, since they are on the opposite side, but if you have an even numbered room, the trains will be passing within a few meters of your window at all hours of the night. The windows are also not insulated against the noise, so there is little chance you won't be woken up multiple times. The hotel provides earplugs for this, but still... Also, no air conditioning.
