Copenhagen hotels near Amager Square

Pros: Small room, without a/c so we open the window and it was a little bit noisy, breakfast was really nice in a big and nice room. The stand was very helpful

Pros: Look no further and just book this hotel. This hotel is wonderful! The room very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The location was excellent.

Pros: The staff really, really tries to please you. Bike rental is approximately $20/day and bikes are all well serviced and cared for. Breakfast is very generous.

Cons: The smell of house cleaning products didn't work for us. The closed windows did cut street noise very well but then there was a lack of fresh air. Bathtub (small) could use a grab bar. location is in transition. Sex shops across the street but a short walk away are great restaurants and design shopping.

Cons: No Air Conditioner!?! At the very least, a hotel needs to have Air Conditioning. There was a fan in the room!!

Pros: This is the perfect hotel for you to use if you are planning on getting to the Copenhagen airport. The Central Train Station is a very short walk from the hotel where you can pick up a train that will deliver you to the airport in three, short stops. The hotel's location is also great if you want to go to Tivoli Garden and enjoy the downtown restaurants or walk around on the pedestrian streets. Overall, the hotel room was very clean and the room was sufficiently large so that you're not crowded. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. A small safe was provided for storage of items you don't want out in the open. An early breakfast starting at 6:30AM was provided as part of the room cost which worked well for us before starting on our trip back home. The breakfast had everything you would want, including hot service such as eggs, cold cut meats, bread, yogurt, etc. Well done! I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Copenhagen.

Cons: There were only two, small things that I didn't like about the hotel; the lack of soap for the shower and their system of storing bags should you arrive before your room is available. Usually, hotels will provide a hard bar of soap you can take into the shower or else provide a dispenser for a body wash liquid in the shower. In this case, there was no hard soap available and the body wash liquid dispenser was outside of the shower over the sink requiring you to open the curtain and lean out. Not a big deal. Their storage of your bags if you arrive early is a little curious. The front desk will take your name and check on your room's availability. In the meantime, if you want to store your luggage, the hotel will give you a key card that allows you access to a luggage storage room. You retain this key card until you are formally checked in. Once checked in, your room key will also open the luggage storage room. Unfortunately, everyone else who arrives early also gets a key card. Thus any luggage you've placed into the storage room is now open to everyone else who also gets an access card while waiting for their room as well as those who have a room card. I would think that controlling the access to the "luggage room" to only hotel staff would make more sense from a security perspective.

Pros: Very friendly staff, room was a good size, quiet, super clean, very comfortable bed with nice quality linens, everything functioned well, There was a tea boiler in our room, bathrobes & slippers. Great breakfast as well.

Pros: The location! Couldnt be better. We love staying in old hotels with a interesting history. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. There are no negatives regarding this hotel. If we ever get back to Copenhagen, we will definitely stay here!

Pros: Skt. Petri is ofcourse a beautiful hotel and situated smack bang in the center of Copenhagen. On arrival we immediately got good news: an upgrade! So we ended up in a beautiful and big superior room, with an easy and big bathroom on the 4th floor. Personnel was very friendly, although "businesslike". The room after a day of citytripping was always superclean. The restaurant for breakfast was a good place to hang out and have your breakfast: calm, beautiful, ... And there were lots of choices for yoghurt, different kind of breads, a lot of cold cuts, salmon and herring (we are in Scandinavia!), fruit, waffles, pancakes, different kind of cheeses each day, ...

Cons: Although there was plenty of choice for breakfast there are some improvements possible: the scrambled eggs, mushrooms, ... were not always warm and the idea of different juices and water coming from one and the same tap (operated by a tablet) seems strange to me. Different coffees (espresso, latte, cappucino, normal coffee, ...) also came from the same tap (ofcourse a different one than for the juices).

Pros: Lovely hotel, really modern. The room was really nice. Very clean - great location about 15-20 minute walk from the central station. Only a few minutes from a big metro station. The staff were all super friendly and the facilities in the hotel were good too. The area around the hotel is very old and pretty very close to main shopping street, Tivoli and museums.

Cons: The bathroom was a bit dated and didn't fit the look and feel of the rest of the hotel room. The room service menu was made at least partially of pre-made food.

Pros: Easy walking to all sites, located on the pedestrian area... The Stroget, close to the metro too. Wonderful coffee shops all around, and a running sushi place too.

Cons: Rooms for a hotel in this category are a bit spartan. The hotel is showing some wear and tear. Biggest problem was the noise. It was late September and the weather was not hot, not cold. The hotel had turned on the heat, despite my trying to turn it off. The heat was considerable. I opened the windows to get fresh air and keep the room bearable, but the street noise (all night) was incredibly loud. The hotel is right next to the University, so it was not a surprise as students come home from the bars (until 6am), but it led to a night of little sleep.

Pros: The size of the room is comfortable . The staff are very accommodating.

Cons: One of the days we stayed, we were not provided with clean towels.

Pros: It's clean. rooms are acceptable. Location is not too far from the center. The restaurant has a good view. Breakfast is nice.

Cons: 1) they didn't accept my UnionPay card (come on 1.7 billion people use UnionPay shops and ATM in Copenhagen can take it, is this a serious hotel?)... 2) Change the name on the headline of the invoice from my name to the company name was impossible. I don't know if my company will accept the invoice they issued. Another little detail: the bar only accepts credit card (not UnionPay) but their machine is faulty so we spend 5 minutes trying my Mastercard, while the taxi was waiting for me outside. The waiter saying "don't worry" "don't worry, let's try again"... paying in cash seem to be impossible even in that situation.

Pros: The staff were not just professional but incredibly nice. I would stay here again without a 2nd thought. Christian at the front desk was incredibly helpful not just during check-in but also when guiding us about sightseeing. The room design is absolutely lovely. It is a pleasure to walk into a hotel with such thoughtful design. Breakfast was an excellent spread too. Nothing that I felt was missing.

Cons: There were some minor issues with the room - previous occupant threw stuff down the drain that clogged the sink. I feel cleaning staff should have notified maintenance since it was a significant clog but the staff were incredibly responsive when I reported it. One thing that I didn't care for was the half length glass protection in the shower. I found it took too much effort to not splash water outside the tub.

Pros: The rooms were clean. I loved the modern feel of The Island and the view was beautiful.

Pros: Beautiful hotel. Elegant and well furnished, spacious and comfortable in every detail. Friendly and professional reception staff. Good sized room, comfortable bed, super wi-fi connection and the possibility of choosing between three different types of pillows (!!). Minibar and breakfast (not included in the room price) quite expensive but in the average of the customs of the Scandinavian prices.

Cons: Very suggestive position (the hotel is practically on the water of the bay) but a little far from the center. Nothing dramatic, it's a fifteen minute walk, but for some it might be a problem.

Pros: Location-close to centre/subway and train stations, clean modern rooms-quadroom with a view to the lake, vibrant atmosphere, convenience of bar and foods. Also pay-to-use kitchen (clean and immaculate/separate glass enclosed area), though I didn't use it, the fitness and swimming areas-which I also didn't use. I especially like the lake/park near the property which offers peaceful and quiet areaa to walk, stroll or jog or just to relax.

Cons: The steps needed to climb to the top bunk; stayed in a quad room-it's small! Price-It's a little pricey compare to other 'name brand' hostel/hotel franchise.

Cons: Only small thing: The room was clean but one sheet was not completely clean (maybe wrongly washed in the washing machine) and toilet was from sides a bit unclean. (Probably the cleaner/cleaning lady did not clean the sides). Please do that next time.
