Cons: It's the kind of hotel that takes itself too seriously. It was billed as a five star resort, but the only difference I could see between it and any other hotel in the states was the bidet in the bathroom.

Pros: The hotel looked stunning. I booked the stay for my boyfriends birthday so we came up on Sunday evening and stayed until Monday. The room was very spacious and modern.
Cons: Firstly, the spa facilities were nice however we couldn’t really relax as there was about 20 kids there running around, jumping in the pool, splashing everywhere. It was just not needed so we left the spa and returned the day after. The breakfast the next morning was atrocious. Almost £20 a person yet I’ve had a better breakfast at McDonald’s. Really overpriced and poor quality food.

During our stay, we found the rooms very good value for the money, clean and the warm colours of the decor very relaxing.
Nothing was too much trouble, for the reception staff and the bar staff during our visit.
We will certainly stay in a Future Inns hotel again in the future.

Cons: Didn't like the noise of the streets bars but i was in a room on the wrong side of the hotel, a busy main rd was quite noisy but that wasn't a reason to complain.... Overall i thoroughly enjoyed the stay as did my friends

Cons: Had booked a 2 night stay, car broke down had called the hotel on the sunday to let them know we will not be able to make it there til Monday. On arrival we were told that our room was given away to somebody else and we would have to wait til 3 pm to check in as all available rooms were "not ready" even though we had paid in advance for the 2 nights . Surely that means the got paid twice for same room , the receptionist on the check in desk was quite abrupt and didnt seem to listen to what we were saying g she then called the reservations manager to rectify this .(after ten minutes of back and forth with receptionist). On entering the room my partner noticed that the cleanliness of the bathroom was done to a very poor standard. And the towel rail was very loose . The window catch was also broke which meant we could not tilt the window open . There was also grey hairs on the bed sheets. They were not ours as I'm almost bald and my partners hair is a vibrant red . Will not recommend or return .

Cons: I’d booked this room for a coach driver (he was driving me and a group of friend), who didn’t get to stay at the holiday inn, as they didn’t have any room booked in for him Gave them my confirmation number and pass code, which they had, but had the booking under someone else’s name, That someone else was my mothers name, which made no sense, however when I said that it’s clearly the room a payed for, the hotel told me that is was occupied! Who by I don’t know! As for my mother, she was back with the group I’d come up with. So I asked for another room, they had non. Still making no sense and getting upset by this point. I ask if they could do anything, their response was “there is nothing we can do, you’ll have to get in contact with booking.com” So at this point I had a coach drive with no where to stay, I had paid for a room, that’s was occupied by someone else. Thankfully we found another hotel which a family member had to pay for! This was one of the worse experiences I’ve ever had with a hotel!

Cons: The room was freezing cold when we arrived. The radiator in the room never worked the whole time we were there. We managed to raise some heat by winding up the room thermostat to 32 degrees C and that just about got the room warm. We were on the point of asking to be moved to another room? This was the only downside to our stay.

Pros: The only thing that comes to mind is the chap behind reception who checked me in at 10pm and was still there at 8am the following morning. A nice guy, he tried his best and was empathetic to the inconvenience of not being able to get into my room (and for the fact that the promise of having the issue fixed remained unresolved the following morning). Location is very good, should you need to be in Cardiff City centre.

Cons: Firstly our window in our room was broke so we couldn't close it properly therefore it was cold and noisy. We didn't worry to much about this because there was a heater on the wall which we could plug in. However, this to wasn't working either. Hence, we were cold all night Secondly, when I finished blow drying my hair with their hairdryer I went to straighten my hair but found that the plugs were positioned to far down to the dressing table hence you couldn't plug it in without buckling the plug. Their coffee plug and hairdryer had obviously been buckled to get them in the socket. I wasn't going to do this with my appliance. So, I had to plug it in the lamp socket and do my hair without a mirror. Not the end of the world but such an inconvenience. Thirdly, they really could invest in new bedding. Although clean it was ripped and worn looking. My husband and I did not complain as we don't like to but I wish we had. It's been on my mind since I arrived home. Its my hard earned money and very annoying to think that we are suppose to put up with this. From now on I will be standing my ground and ask to be moved to another room if I'm not happy. Although I won't be staying in this hotel again. If I had any advice? It would be DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 409!

Location is very good, should you need to be in Cardiff City centre.
Cons: In order of chronological order of mishap. Three attempts to get into room on arrival (at 10pm on 4th floor) due to key card reader being broken. Finally let into room but alas, problem not actually fixed. Music from bar opposite boomed around the room until gone midnight (I heard the entire Oasis back catalogue loud and clear). Pillows were like tablets of stone, but a minor victory came when I found some more in the wardrobe (just put them on the bed?). Bed itself was adequate. Asleep by 1am but the fire alarm went off at 6am (of course it did). In the morning the misery continued; firstly I had to ask again for the card reader to be fixed whilst I was a breakfast, which itself took place in the freezing cold and altogether grubby restaurant. Other guests wore their coats and one lamented having to move rooms the night before...a proactive approach to this could be considered on nights where bands are playing opposite? And so to the bathroom where the bath towel was covered in make-up stains and the rubber bath mat grew mould. Water temperature changed its mind by the minute. Glad to be leaving, checking out was another tedious amble - initially ignored and secondly a problem had occurred with the payment made the night before (of course it had). In a final twist, even paying for parking resulted in problems (and yet another trip to reception) as the information given the night before seemed to contradict the machine's view of the world. I suspect a parking fine will arrive soon as nice little souvenir. A general apathy, confusion, lack of willing and a complete customer focus blindness oozed from every last touchpoint of this terrible experience (and no, I'm not usually one to complain!) - it was beyond poor and not exactly bargain basement at £91 on what was a Monday night in November.

Cons: The toilet was unfortunately stained and there were some marks on the duvet cover. The tea in the breakfast room was a strange taste almost with a hint of hot chocolate! The walls are very thin and when someone plugged in a hairdryer next door it sounded like they were in our room.
