The position of the hotel. Couldn't be more central to Cardiff.
No guaranteed car parking. However I have to say we had no trouble parking. Car park open to the public and no process to ensure a car parking place as someone staying in the hotel
My door was knocked on (four big loud raps) at 8.50am in the morning. It looked like one of the managers in the cleaning team (blond woman in a suit). There’s no need for it. If the person hasn’t checked out then you shouldn’t be banging on their door.
Checking out is efficient
The bath towel should be put separately in to two sets, because when single customers are using, they may accidentally grab one and another one dropped on the floor, which is not good at all. Or alternatively, towels should be put on something not hanging.
Poor service and our toilet never flushed, issue was reported but never resolved
The bed was really comfy. The bath and shower were excellent. Staff were really friendly. Checking in was swift and simple. The hotel bar is spacious and quiet with a very friendly barman. For a large complex the hotel is very quiet too which I like. Also very close to a multitude of bars and restaurants. The room was very clean too. The overall hotel facilities are good, even if we did have specific issues with the room itself.
The only minor inconveniences were that the TV didn't work, and that there was no minibar as advertised. The TV was stuck on the Menu screen. Explained that to one of the receptionist staff, and they said to press "channel" instead of "menu", that still didn't work, so no access to a working TV for the stay. Wasn't a huge issue, just mildly irritating at the time. Same with the minibar. Chose a room with a minibar just for convenience of not having to mooch about to get a drink etc, but when we got into the room it was empty.
