Staff were very helpful, very efficient, approachable and cheerful. They dealt with a hot water problem very well so our opinion was not tainted by it. Pros: Staff were pleasant and professional, even under stress. Rooms were nicely appointed, with consideration given to their decoration. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel has easy access from the train station, and it is a short walk into town.
Cons: The central heating system broke down during our stay. When asked, staff said they would inform us of the status of repairs. They placed a letter under our door informing us that the system was repaired, which was incorrect. As such, we stayed for two nights, without hot water, and without offer of compensation from the hotel for the considerable inconvenience caused. Although this was not their fault, the lack of some form of recompense or substantive apology was extremely disappointing. Additionally, breakfast was sub-par.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Immaculate hotel with stylish touches. Spacious rooms & bathrooms, very comfortable bed and wonderful pillows ! Want some at home ! Staff were very helpful, very efficient, approachable and cheerful. They dealt with a hot water problem very well so our opinion was not tainted by it. Be prepared for a 20 minute walk into town but there are plenty of great places to eat, drink and shop on the way.
Cons: Would be good if they could negotiate a reduced parking rate in a nearby car park (normal practice in our experience) especially as cost of parking in Cambridge is higher than average.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very big room, and very close to the station. The gym is nice!
Cons: the pillows are too soft for my liking :-)

Pros: Room very comfortable, clean and cosy. Bathroom also very clean and stylish. Staff downstairs at reception, entrance and door very helpful and welcoming. Location near station very convenient for this visit. Room very quiet.

Pros: The room was very nice, the shower was amazing and the decor in the room was premium. The staff at the front desk were helpful, attentive and personable. The building is beautiful and the restaurant is luxurious. The toilets in the lobby are amazing.

5.0 Okay
Pros: All looked fine on arrival - doorman there to let us in etc. Room sufficiently boutique! Comfy bed.
Cons: Location a bit depressing. A bit annoyed to find parking was £12.30 per day in the Station Carpark ending at 04:00 so had to pay £24:60 for parking for an overnight stay. Then in the morning discovered no hot water in the building and basin installation meant that after shaving in cold water it took ages for the water to drain. Surely this would have been picked up by cleaning staff. Cheap instant drinks in room - haven’t they heard about Nespresso? Had to argue for a discount because of no hot water - surely an upmarket hotel would have told us there was a problem with hot water. Note under door. And offered a reduction. Won’t be returning or recommending.

Pros: The position, large bedroom but especially the staff. William, the porter was exceptional- kind and attentive.
Cons: We had a disabled room. The room was fine but the wet room did not work well. Water went all over the floor and didn’t drain properly. I called the hotel the day before our stay to enquire about parking. I was astounded there was no priority parking for blue badge holders. My husband has Parkinson’s disease and sometimes can hardly walk across the room. I couldn’t take the risk of not getting a parking place so took a taxi from my daughter’s house

Pros: I was held up for three hours in Customs at Heathrow and advised staff that I would not make the first night of a four night stay. They were not helpful in assisting me in finding another Hilton. I specifically was told by the clerk on check out that I would not be charged for the missed night, but discovered that indeed I have been charged and I am writing sepaerately for a refund. Staff in the bar treated me like a vagrant beaucse my room was not ready and I only had casual clothes. It was only when I put my expensive suit on that I received decent service.

Pros:
Cons: The service at the restaurant in the evening, was rather poor. I had to wait a very long time to order anything, waiters were very busy running in and out of the kitchen, not paying much attention to customers. I ended up going out to eat. During my last stay, in April 2019, the situation was similar.

Plugs near the bed with a lamp. The location was really fantastic - five minute walk and you're in the centre of Cambridge. Pros: Everything was straightforward and self-explanatory.
Cons:
7.9 Good
Pros: The showers were amazing! Warm and good pressure, clean. Friendly staff. Clean rooms.
Cons: We were staying in an ensuite room but the toilet was not clean (there were bugs/small flies around it). Also, we would have liked a small hand towel by the sink in the room for when we washed our hands.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff are all very helpful and friendly especially there is a gentleman who was on night duty and was in charge of preparing the breakfast on the day I was there.I carelessly left my important documents in the lobby the night I arrived and he helped me put them away and handed them to me the next morning. He saved my day!And he gave me very detailed and accurate information about parking. The location of the hostel is convenient and in a quiet neighborhood.
Cons: I do not know if it was just an occasional case but the dorm I stayed in for the one night was kinda stuffy and there was noise from sth like ventilation system or a fan in the dorm (but there seemed really stuffy) I arrived quite late so I did not turn on the light to see what's going on.Especially after you have experienced the comfortable temperature and air in the lobby, the stuffiness in the dorm was not nice. And the bathrooms seem quite narrow though very clean and tidy
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really friendly and seemed happy to help, they clearly took pride in the location. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was clean and sufficiently spacious. Plugs near the bed with a lamp. The location was really fantastic - five minute walk and you're in the centre of Cambridge. The bar area near the reception was really great, a huge asset for the place. Great number of plugs with a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Showers were pretty clean.
Cons: My bed's locker was a little odd - a wooden box you had to slide in and out from under the bed. It was safe though and very large. Annoyingly the WiFi doesn't reach the bedroom though I'm told that's standard for YHA. The bathrooms were very often full and dirty/blocked though I know this can be an issue in family hostels with children. It was a bit expensive for what it is but, honestly, by Cambridge standards the price is alright.

Pros: Great value!! Deffo would stay agian
Cons: Laundery room had a detergent stain on ironing board which transferred on to my shirt

Pros: Location excellent, clean & modern, very helpful friendly staff
Cons:

Pros: The hotel is fairly close to the center of town and is an easy walk to most everything you would want to see. The room we had was really comfortable and unique, not a chain hotel where all the rooms are the same. So that can be good and bad. I don't know what the other rooms were like but ours was really nice. The king bed was an actual US king size bed rather than UK kings which was a surprise. The bar was pretty neat also and we enjoyed a night cap there every night of our stay.

Pros: Stayed there before. Great location and great hotel.
Cons: Nothing really. The disappointing thing was that as there was a private party we weren’t able to have a drink in the bar early evening and when we returned later in the evening it was cold and felt very much like cellar.

The bar was pretty neat also and we enjoyed a night cap there every night of our stay.
Cons: There was a bit of a "city sewer" smell in the hallway leading to our room. It wasn't in our room though and we didn't complain but it probably needs to be taken care of. Probably a small repair so it isn't an ongoing thing just something that was going on while we were there....I hope.

Pros: Superb location and a lovely hotel. The lift wasn't working when I was there but that wasn't too much of a problem. Very quiet and comfortable room with opening windows which is always a bonus! Would definitely recommend it.
Cons: When I arrived at reception no one acknowledged me for quite a while. There were three staff behind the desk and only one other customer. That felt quite uncomfortable and I was unsure as to whether I was actually in reception of an office that I shouldn't have walked into! The young lady who showed me to my room was very friendly and chatty though.

Cons:
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is close to the City Center without quite being in the middle of it.
Cons: The room was smaller than expected for the price, no complimentary water as you would expect in a 4-star hotel, 2 tiny beds that kept slipping away from each other, no help with luggage.....
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location. Good breakfast
Cons: Objected strongly to request to £15 a day for internet access on top of hefty room price and £21 a day to park the car. Seems daylight robbery....but also had extras put on the bill because housekeeping staff moved items in the automatic-charging mini-bar. Good job I spotted this as they had to remove charges totaling £21.....that would have been daylight robbery!

Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: Given early check in which was nice, location is excellent to explore the city, good varied an plentiful breakfast.
Cons: Room 24 which we were allocated is right next to a major function room, the noise was terrible a band playing until midnight and gests still talking and banging around until 2pm.Asked to be moved to another room none were available, the hotel should not give guests this room when there is a function, at £229 for B & B you should expect peace and quiet. The hotel did discount our bill after complaining but it made our visit very disappointing as we were celebrating a birthday. On a separate note the room was looking a bit tired and for a king room the bathrooms are small.

Pros: Warm room, good facilities. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Liked everything. It was a great stay. Friendly staff. Should be a smiley face. Cannot change. Come on booking.com
4.0 Okay
Pros: Bathroom was modern
Cons: Furniture dated. Like moving back in time to a 1940s bedroom of my Granny's. Dark bedroom furniture went Out years ago. Bar was open but the Barman is also the waiter and waiting for someone to turn up and be seated for a meal is more important than serving someone at the Bar. However, not as important as talking to the Chef in the kitchen and skiving. Breakfast in the morning apparently started at 715 but no one was even in the kitchen by 720 so I left. No one on Reception. Then they rang 5 hours later complaining I hadn’t paid. Well put some staff on and run the place properly All in all. Would I stay again. Not a chance until they Staff it properly
7.0 Good
Pros: location handy for places we wanted to see and good choice of restaurants. staff were friendly and efficient and parking handy to the room. Nice lounge to relax in.
Cons: Would have liked some snack biscuits with the self-service tea/coffee facility. Taps were difficult to turn off in basin. Restaurant location below ground level although bright, lacked atmosphere.

Cons: Temperature in the room, too hot

Pros: Very convenient location, near train station although we decided to use hotel car park. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Originally had booked 'budget' room. Size of room was mentioned in sq meters, no problem, knew it was small but no mention on website this had an extremely sloped ceiling, which isn't a problem for everyone but no good for us as one person is 6'2" and partially sighted. However, there was another room available at a small extra cost and staff were very helpful in sorting it all out.

Pros: Cost. Cosy, comfy bed. Clean soft towels. Warm room with independent heating. Good shower room right next door to the room.
Cons: Room needed airing- it smelled of previous occupants- rather sweaty and stale. Cracked basin- room 7. Communal hand towel in the shared bathroom. Paper, or roller towel would be more hygienic. Breakfast- no particular gluten free options apparent. Soya milk for milk free option, but no alternative to the scrambled egg and the cows milk Yogurt

Pros: Very friendly bar staff
Cons: Room not too clean , mould in shower . Very tired looking
5.0 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed, cheap for the centre of Cambridge. Ample parking.
Cons: Rooms are tired and incredibly hot (I turned my radiator off and had to sleep with the window open in late November). My room was next to a staircase and very noisy with people walking up and down all night. Breakfast was pretty naff. Not enough staff on checkout (only one person who was also dealing with phonecalls).

Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: Brilliant location! I've stayed here many times and it's great for walking into 'town'. Staff are friendly, helpful. Breakfast simple, well organised. Good value considering its location.
Cons: This is a hotel trading on its location which is such a shame as it could be great. The Reception area is pleasant as are the bar and restaurant areas but the rooms and corridors badly need refurbishing. I've been visiting annually for short visits for 20 years and the rooms have barely changed apart from replacing plumbing. Of course, this is reflected in the room rate but a freshen up would make such a difference.

Pros: Friendly helpful staff
Cons: Rooms scruffy, a bit dirty and need repainting
4.5 Okay
Pros: Good location, friendly staff, and clean.
Cons: The room decor, doors, bathrooms, lighting, furniture, twin beds (with no option to push them together), no air conditioning (an oscillating fan was located in the closet), two faucet sink with poor functioning faucets, linoleum bathroom floor, and rippled carpet all made the hotel room seem like it was from the 1950s, Also, the channel changing function on the television fluctuated wildly (once I selected a channel, it would work until I changed the channel... at which point the screen would go dark and sound would stop). I would have to shut off the power and restart the television, scroll through the programs, and make a selection, Then when I wanted to change the channel, I would have to repeat the restart process. On my departure day, the wall outlets lost power.

Pros: Clean and the location
Cons: It was to noisy
5.0 Okay
Pros: We chose this accomodation because it is very close to the train station and it has self check-in (we left very early in the morning...)
Cons: The bathroom was not very clean. It looked like there was some mildew in the shower. The bedroom was ok. We stayed only for one night, so we managed.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: N/A
Cons: The room was cramped and the future was damaged. The pillows were very lumpy.
6.0 Good
Pros:
Cons: Lots of little things that mounted up to a lot. Shower door would not close: shower room and lavatory door would not close properly. Lack of shelves and coat hooks etc. That sort of thing.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed
Cons: No hand wash, WiFi passcode was nowhere to be seen, walls had water marks down them from previous leak, window kept opening by itself, tv signal was terrible and had to hold switch down on kettle for 5 minutes at 7 in the morning because switch was broke. I advise people to stay here
6.0 Good
Pros: I anticipated the room to be small (based on pictures and price), and it was actually quite nice and cosy. Good for a short-term stay.
Cons: The kettle wasn't very clean (had a lot of limescale) and there was no bottled water available, so wish I knew that then I could have prepared for it. The shower drain was clogged so the water would pool at my feet when I showered.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: The luggage room is essentially the corridor, accessible to anyone. There was hair in the bathroom. I stayed here mostly because of the option of leaving my luggage the next day, instead I ended up dragging it around with me to meetings in town.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Reasonable price, clean, good location for where we were working.
Cons: No heating, luckily not too cold so just about bearable, would have been a major problem in the depths of winter. No reception so difficult to talk to anyone. No instructions for WiFi.
