Very comfortable, good service, very helpful manager
Car access not indicated by brown sign so easily missed due to need to concentrate on vehicular and pedestrian traffic, so found myself not seing mill lane road name as about 4 metres above road when approaching from south. So land up in one way system which high up signs say is no tnrough route but has a camera. This is very tourist unfriendly, unfair. City traffic managers should be persuaded to come up to tourist friendly standard as normal in uk and eu elsewhere. I am worried i will be booked and fined unreasonably going to one of the cities top hotels as a visitor.
The friendly and very helpful staff team and their Careline service. I needed an power adapter for mu Australian pc to work and the hotel loaned me one free of charge.
The food, the location and very helpful and friendly staff team.
It is located right next the the river and punting port, very convenient to go around Cambridge. The breakfast was great.
Food and service v good.
Bedroom (120) very disappointing. Dark and unwelcoming. Small window over grey flat roof in corner of building: worst room in hotel? Accepted only as it was for 1 night only. Shame, because service and food were good.
The welcoming cookies are awesome as usual. And breakfast is considerably good to be fair.
The balcony is not what advertised, which is shared and without any chairs or a table. Bathroom is quite small and dated, and the bath tub has faulty design which I almost tripped over. Toothbrushes and slippers weren't there until we asked for them, which turned out looking cheap. Didn't live up to be in the league of Hilton Hotels.
DoubleTree by Hilton Cambridge City Centre is, as its name implies, in the heart of Cambridge, England. It is located in the historic area and sits tucked along the banks of River Cam. This makes it an ideal choice for those exploring the many colleges that make the city so famous. In fact, visitors are only five minutes on foot from King’s College, Trinity College, and Queen’s College. Other easy to reach destinations include the Mathematical Bridge, St. John's College, Audley End House, Cambridge Train Station, the Botanic Gardens, and the Grand Arcade Shopping Center. The Newmarket Races are around 14 miles away, and Duxford Air Museum is less than 10. Cambridge Airport is less than three miles from the hotel, while the London Luton Airport is roughly 30 miles.
While the location makes it ideal for students and professionals, it is also a great choice for leisure travelers. The hotel boasts an enviable number of amenities and services that include full business services with meeting rooms, a concierge service, parking (for a fee), a currency exchange, laundry services, the Riverside Brasserie serving classic British fare along with daily breakfast, outdoor dining and lounging areas, bike rentals and more.
The many stylish and modern rooms and suites vary by size and style, but all will provide visitors with a large sitting area and easy chair, a business desk, Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet, a flat-screen TV, laptop-sized safe, hot beverage stations, minibars, a large and private bath with signature toiletries, premium linens, and climate controls. Many have river and garden views, too.
Whether it is to consider attending one of the colleges at Cambridge, for a business trip or as part of a holiday in the region, the DoubleTree by Hilton Cambridge City Centre is a great choice.
