Absolutely appalling. Several emails from budget saying we will be met at the airport when we landed at 5:30 p.m. In fact we arrived early, but by 6:30 p.m. nobody was there to meet us. A local kindly telephone the budget emergency to be told the office is closed and even if it was an emergency nothing could be done until the following day. Called a taxi to our destination and the following day went into the office to be told it closes at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday and the closing time and the emails we received were all wrong. Very surly, totally disinterested member of staff who obviously thought it was unreasonable of me to complain. The car they gave me was very old, rundown and I would say registered in the 1990s. It broke down on the second day and I had to wait several hours for a replacement. I am a RapidRes member, and if they treat me like this, how on earth do they treat a normal member of the public? Pros:Staff was fine. Pickup and Dropoff we’re fine.Cons:Car was much smaller than expected although they promised it was same size as requested. Dirty, banged up, stripped down vehicle. My 31 year old son had never used a crank handle to lower the window before.Reviewed 6 Feb 2020

Cons:When I dropped off my car to the local budget office I was shocked to see that my bill was almost $40 higher then the quote I received online. I showed the agent a printout of the original quote. That didn’t help so as a result I will never do business with Budget again.Reviewed 2 Feb 2019

$30 extra fee if you drop off at the airportPros:Staff was super nice, but I was told to drop the car off at the airport on my departure. Turns out there is a $30 fee if you do that.Cons:Mandatory liability insurance if $6 a day. Not disclosed in the fees on kayak.Reviewed 20 Jul 2018

Vehicle in terrible repairCons:The car was very damaged on every side, including the top and the air conditioning did NOT work. Being on an island with high temperatures, this was terribly inconvenient.Reviewed 6 Apr 2018

Pros:They picked us up right at the airport and brought us to the car rental site. We did not feel pressured, and the staff was kind and attentive.Cons:The only thing I didn't understand is that you absolutely need to bring the car back full of gas which is not so easy in TCI.
