Cons:The food was terrible, +5 hours delay, poor attention from the crew. Basic stuff every airline should be aware of.

Pros:not much
Cons:For both flights I received an email that the date(!) and time has changed. Both flights were late, and both had a very rough landing (plane bumped on the runway). On the 2nd flight, the landing was aborted shortly before touchdown, and 10 min later they tried again

8.0 Very Good

Pros:Everything that BoA provided was top notch. They just simply do not provide entire swaths of things that other airlines typically offer.
Cons:Website check-in is a joke: the site crashes or just gives you errors, it barely gives any information. You can't even look up your itinerary. You most certainly can't check in, nor get help. Useless website. No wifi, on any plane, of any type. No on-board entertainment: My all-day flight had no entertainment of any kind. No movies, no reading material, no wifi, and no power outlets. You better have pre-loaded stuff on a computer or tablet that is fully charged, or you're just going to sit in a metal tube for 7 hours with nothing to do.

6.0 Okay

Pros:Attendants were fine and accommodating. The flight was on time and smooth.
Cons:The interior of the plane was pretty dated and no inflight entertainment was provided. It was a 7 hour overnight flight, which meant that was okay, but my three kids normally look forward to something interesting. Food and drinks were basic but tasted fine.

2.0 Poor

This airline is always THE WORST. They seem to have flights moving to other times (late) 90% of the time. The airplanes are old, and the landing (i really don't know why) is 90% of the time shaky. I actually never buy tickets from BOA, I prefer other airlines by far.

Overview of BoA

Existing as Bolivia’s national flag carrier, BoA offers a wide range of services that link the country to both North America and Europe. An expansive network of flights is also available throughout South America to destinations in Argentina and Brazil. Seasonal services are also scheduled to Chile, Colombia, Cuba and Ecuador. BoA Regional exists as a subsidiary and focuses on linking more isolated cities throughout Bolivia.

The airline’s primary operating base is located in Cochabamba and is responsible for the majority of domestic services. Long-distance routes, such as those to the United States and Spain, depart from an additional hub in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. A codeshare agreement is in place with Iberia, which promotes the connection of services to further destinations in Europe.

Economy is the only cabin class available on domestic flights and shorter trips throughout South America. Passengers can upgrade to Business Class if they are taking a long-haul flight on a larger aircraft, such as the Boeing 767. The exclusive section has only 10 seats, making for a quieter and more private journey. The reclining chairs are set up in a 2 x 1 x 2 configuration, which guarantees either a window view or direct aisle access. The seats also have extendable footrests and come with large padded cushions.

BoA flies an all-Boeing group of aircraft. A preference is held for narrow-body planes, such as the 737 series, that can roughly carry between 138 and 168 passengers. Yellow, red and green stripes can be seen on the tails of the aircraft in acknowledgment of Bolivia’s national flag.
