Bilbao hotels near Teatro Arriaga

Pros: Staff were incredible and location couldn't be beat. Parking was only €5 per day. Great restaurants with super views of Guggenheim.

Cons: Air conditioning in our room didn't work. Refrigerator was broken and there were moldy things inside.

Pros: Last minute booking and staff very helpful and parked our car for us which was a great help as Bilbao is not the easiest place to makeover around. Great Terrace bit a shame it closed early in the evenings.

Pros: Not the first time there and certainly not the last. Amazing location and view. Wonderful breakfast. Staff always ready to help. Perfect.

Pros: Just a great and charming hotel, spacious room and great facilities. The stunning view over the Guggenheim museum completes this experience.

Pros: Since the star of any trip to Bilbao is likely the Guggenheim, the location here cannot be beat. The interior of the hotel is beautiful, and the view from the breakfast terrace is amazing.

Cons: While the breakfast does offer gluten-free options, they have not trained the serving staff on what that means. In our case this meant that - despite ordering GF bread - we were given regular bread and not told about it until we were almost done. Cool!

Pros: Great location across from the Guggenheim (10 minute walk from the City Centers, Bilbao is small). This is arguably a 5 star facility charging much lower than comparable places anywhere else. Valet parking service, but remember to go to the alley behind the hotel, where there is an entrance that is much better for dropping off the car, and to unload your luggage. Excellent Gym with very new equipment. Lovely Bar with skilled bartenders.

Cons: The lighting system in the room was a little problematic...... Either the Master was "on" for any lights to work (if Master was "off", could not turn on bathroom lights to shower, while keeping the room lights off so my wife could keep sleeping)....

Pros: The place very clean and nice. I liked the breakfast also it was wonderful that the gym is 24 hours open. Plus it's very nice location.

Cons: The staff was not as nice as they should be when I ask one of cleaners to give me an extra water bottle she refused very rudely. Also when asked the lobby about that I need to change my booking he just said I can't help you, when I think he should advise me how to do it.

Pros: The bathroom architecture was unique and romantic. The reception staff was incredibly helpful.

Cons: Seemed that the thermostat was not altering the climate at all. We had to keep our window open. Also hair conditioner would be nice.

Pros: A treat for weary travelers, this hotel was a bit of respite from the cadence of sightseeing. The rooms were spacious and well laid out. Service was professional and efficient. The details of this luxury hotel were the icing on the cake - turn down service, aromatherapy sleep spray, complimentary robe and slippers. Proximity to the Guggenheim and promenade is unbeatable.

Pros: Breakfast, valet parking and terrace.

Cons: Room not as nice as the first time we stayed there. No bath, but still very comfortable.

Pros: This hotel was sublime — a fitting pair with the Guggenheim across the street. Don’t skip breakfast on the rooftop terrace — likely the best place to see the museum, and the food was standout.

Cons: Bathroom’s a little strange: Great tub, but wet room ahower’s weirdly placed.

Pros: The location with respect to the Guggenheim was perfect and the eating facilities, breakfast buffet. bar, and restaurant were excellent

Cons: The actual room was awkwardly shaped such that there was a pillar that severely limited the seating at the bench. The television had to be on this bench but was too far away from the bed to allow the ticker on the news screens to be read. The WiFi required a new password every day

Pros: Hotel is good and clean. The big artistic column(?) made of gravels is very impressive.

Cons: The staffs in front desk are not very professional. They charged me twice because they didn't check that they charged on my credit card when I booked using booking.com. So, I'm arguing rightnow. Be careful, everybody!!!

Pros: The breakfast at the last floor of the hotel, with a direct view to the Gugenheim was wonderful. I was welcomed by a nice woman, talking at least 3 different languages: spanish, english and french!

Cons: Price of the breakfast was a bit high for the quality.

Cons: But, really bad noise insulation. This is a 3* criteria! A shame for a 5* hotel. You can hear doors closing in the corridor and toilets flushing from neighboring rooms.

Pros: Found the garage and before we climbed out of our van your cheerful bellman was greeting us in English. He made a great first impression. He was there when we left and we left him 2 bottles of wine to say thanks for his help. We needed a van cab for our luggage and he was quite helpful in arranging it for us. Clerks at counter were very helpful in finding places, showing you on maps, making suggestions. Loved the look of the hotel, fountains, decor, etc. Great place!

Pros: Loved Brunch every morning. Avaar very friendly to all guests, makes omelets & other items fresh .even made me crispy bacon. Front desk are all very friendly & helpful. Lucked out when I chose Grand Bilboa. Also when they had to go on Lockdown on acct of coronavirus they booked me another lovely smaller apt hotel near Guggenheim.

Pros: We booked this hotel last minute because the hotel we had previously booked told us they could not offer secure parking although it was advertised. It turned out to be a smart move,the staff were excellent the rooms very clean and spacious,just down the road is the old town which has a good few bars and cafe bars , underground parking which when you have spent 9 months in Spain and have bikes and all your possessions is vital.All in all very pleased and would not hesitate to go back

Cons: Staff– a bit disorganized and not super helpful. Individually, they were polite and kind. But I expected more from a 4* hotel. Looked at me like I had three heads every time I asked for a restaurant number or a taxi. Their answer to everything was giving me a map. LOCATION. This is BARELY in Bilbao in my opinion. The hotel is literally located on the exit ramp leaving the city. It barely fit on the map of center city. If you're going for business, it's perfect. But if you plan on exploring the city, get ready to walk, take trains, take buses, etc. I would highly recommend that tourists DO NOT stay in this hotel. It's at least a 45 minute walk from the Guggenheim & most of the tourist attractions. It is KIND OF close to the Old Part, but still a 15 minute walk.

Pros: Fourth visit back to the HGB as a group of 4 bikers and somehow its nice to know you're coming to an excellent hotel at the end of your tour no chance of any unexpected problems at the HGB. Excellent reception staff (as before) and was great to sit and have a couple of beers in the afternoon and watch the MotoGP on the TV in the bar - thanks to the barman for setting the channel for us. Massive rooms and bathrooms and massive breakfast with a chef cooking eggs etc there in the restaurant - excellent. Will return for sure.

Pros: The room was very big and clean, the big shower was fantastic I would like to have the same in my house. We could sleep well even if all the city was celebrating a festival. Last but not least the parking was really huge for our van

Pros: The staff was friendly, room was clean and spacious.

Cons: An article of clothing was left behind and we contacted the hotel an hour after check out with the specific location of the garment, and they were not able to recover it. (No lost and found ect.)

Pros: The breakfast is great and even it is relatively far from the city center, it is very easy to reach public transportation from it. No charges is invoiced in case of no-show when you book with "free cancelation" condition.

Pros: The room was very spacious and comfortable. The choice of food at breakfast was very comprhensive and the staff very helpfull.

Cons: The waste bin in the bathroom was very small and hadnt been emptied. There was no other receptacle for waste.Travelling to the hotel by car from the City centre was a real nightmare.

Pros: Fabulous hotel. Huge modern bedroom and bathroom. Super buffet breakfast in wonderful breakfast room. I can't speak highly enough. Thr price was absurd, 52 euros for the room, 20 euros for two breakfasts and 11 euros to park in the basement. Obviously these prices reflect the current Spanish economy and tourism, as otherwise my 83 euro stay would have been three times the price. It's a five minute walk to lightrailway station which takes you to the Gug. We walked back to the hotel from the Gug - it took about half an hour including a walk through the old town.

Cons: Absolutely no complaints at all.
