Pros:Crew was attentive and it was a direct flight
Cons:There was very little room in the seats. It was terribly uncomfortable and made worse when the seat in front was declined

Pros:The crew was good. Everything else was average, besides the negatives written below.
Cons:In flight entertainment system broken (7.5 hour flight), no alternative entertainment offered, air conditioner high, no blankets, asked for one but it never came, only one choice for dinner, meat with a side of badly cooked pasta with no sauce.

Cons:I was scheduled to fly and was delayed for 3 days in Boston. I am still waiting to hear back to be reimbursed for the taxis/ubers that I had to take to the hotels that were provided. The hotels were 40 minutes (1st night) and 1 hour (2nd night) away. There was no one available to talk at the airport and the line was ridiculously long. I had planned a trip for 2.5 weeks exploring Portugal and Spain and missed the Portugal portion completely because I was delayed in Boston. I finally gave up waiting and bought a ticket through a different airline so I could meet my friends and not miss any more of my trip.

Pros:The food was a pleasant surprise, and was a lot!
Cons:Boarded 1/2 hr late, note to self; don’t try to help stack the plates to assist the flight crew. Stewardess fussed at my GF for stacking the plates together neatly. She was only trying to help. Stewardess was rude, stating “ no no, not like that, this is cafeteria style” we didn’t get the memo. Anyway, hurt feelings report will be filed accordingly!

Pros:We enjoyed the hospitality of your crews on board. We would want to fly again with if you have good offers coming.
V
2.0 Poor
PDL-LIS
Pros:Nothing. We didn't take this flight because of the SATA airline strike which left us stuck in Ponta Felgada for 2 days.
Cons:We were majorly inconvenienced when finding out our flight was delayed, then cancelled completely, the. It happened again the next day. Lost 2 days of our trip whih were supposed to be in Lisbon. We found a Ryanair flight to Porto just to get to the mainland. What a nightmare. Never flying with Azores/SATA again!!
V
4.0 Mediocre
BOS-PDL
Pros:Not much
Cons:Never had such an uncomfortable flight! The temperature at my seat was far too hot- I and others were sweating constantly. Also I am 6' 3" but wouldn't recommend anyone over 6' fly this airline, at least not in the normal economy seats- I've never had the experience of being unable to move my legs due to the seat in front.
C
7.6 Good
LIS-PDL
Pros:The crew were PHENOMENAL going out of their way to ensure the needs of the passengers were met - truly the backbone of Azores Airlines. The seats on the Airbus 330 were relatively comfortable with decent pitch and extendable headrests.
Cons:Boarding was delayed twice for a little over an hour total - limited time to make transfer in ponta delgada.

Azores Airlines contact information

Overview of Azores Airlines

Known for being a subsidiary of the Portuguese airline SATA Air Açores, Azores Airlines most commonly operates international flights to various countries in both Europe and North America. Depending on where you would like to go, some potential destinations include countries such as Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Canada.

To ensure that you have the best trip possible, this airline has created its own entertainment app, referred to as the Cabin Media Player. For passengers that would like to watch movies, play games, read books, or listen to music, simply download this app onto your smartphone or tablet for free before boarding your flight.

When booking your travels through Azores Airlines, there are several different classes for you to choose from, including Discount, Smart, Value, and Comfort. While Discount, Smart, and Value are all Economy choices that provide standard benefits like snacks, drinks, access to entertainment, and the ability to pre-select your seat before the flight, Comfort is an executive service that will give you the option of checking free baggage, access to an exclusive lounge while waiting in the airport, the ability to pre-board your flight, and the choice of going to a designated check-in desk.

Out of the 5 aircraft that make up this airline’s fleet, all of the planes are Airbus. The Airbus A320-200 and the Airbus A321neo are the most commonly used planes, as they each can fit between 160 and 180 passengers, making them ideal choices for middle-range flights. While both planes are very similar, there are some differences between their seat layouts.
