Poor Customer ServicePros:The car was very cleanCons:1. The online ordering process was suppose to allow me to pick up the car via KIOSK but it didn't. The information I was given was wrong online. 2. There is no parking for picking up the vehicles, the person dropping me off and picking me up had to continue to drive around and around the airport. 3. I did not sign up for CDW as I have my own full coverage. When I dropped the vehicle off, they tried to charge me an extra $75. I explained to the attendant what had happened and he said I had to pay it and I signed for it but my copy did not have my signature. I asked him to show it to me. He went and looked and found there wasn't a signature. He did not admit this but went straight to the register and asked how I wanted to pay. I gave him my card and he told me, "I just want to let you know that I am not charging you out of courtesy but I could because I know you agreed to pay it in the beginning and even though I couldn't find your signature, its a legal and binding contract". He was very rude.Reviewed 12 Jul 2017

Denied rental over a debit card and accused of attCons:I did not like being accused of fraud and having a manager insinuating I was a car thief. Renting a smart car for three days to travel between Tucson and Phoenix does not seem to be a likely profile for thieves but I wouldn't know. All in front of my 13 yo son. Producing a printed itinerary is not a substantial security measure. Because my itinerary did not fit a profile I was rudely left to find other options and then during another attempt to rent from enterprise the same manager appeared from behind a door and interrupted my transaction and told the employee I was attempting to defraud them. Not true. I will NEVER EVER RENT FROM ALAMO OR THE SISTER COMPANIES EVER AND I WILL DO MY DAMNDEST TO RELATE MY EXPERIENCE TO OTHERS. Alamo is lucky not to be facing litigation about the suggestion by your management that I was attempting to obtain goods or services under false pretenses with the intention of theft or malfeasance.Reviewed 16 Aug 2016

Cons:At drop off they noticed a damage at the frontwindow, but didnt believe me that it was not from me. I didnt see the damage when I picked it up in the night I drove less than 2 miles with it bedore I parked it for the night), but saw it the next morning in daylight and made a picture. I am now responsible for the damage and have to deal with my insurance. I had to pay $500 extra to the rental car company. Now I can only hope that my insurance will refind me. If not it was a very expensive rental experiencecand I'm not sure if I will use a rental again next time I travel for work. The rental car was supposed to be less expensive (fuel) than my private car for the distance I used it, but now it was massiv expensive instead!Reviewed 17 Feb 2020

Pros:We didn't like anythingCons:The lady inside was very rude to my husband. She was trying to over charge him by hundreds of dollars. The vehicle we reversed was sold out they didn't really have any good options for us to choose from. We seen an suv but another lady came to outside where we were trying to find a car. She said that's a different class you have to pay more. We settled for a mini van it was horrible. Ended up exchange it in another state. Got another mini van that was way worse. My 7hr trip turned into 12hr since I couldn't go more than 65mph otherwise van would shake horrible and thought something bad would happen. Worse rental experience in my life! Would not recommend to any friends or family. Nothing was said to us for what happenedReviewed 26 May 2021

Cons:They took longer than any other rental agency! My friends traveling with me had cars promptly and were already settled in their hotels by the time I got my car. Waited 15 minutes for them to “bring the keys”??Reviewed 4 Nov 2019

Wouldn't take my debit cardPros:We had booked a pickup to carry some cargo. Their policy is no debit cards to rent pickups. We could have rented a minivan or car but neither could carry our cargo. We declined and went to U-Haul instead.Cons:I don't like that I am penalized for Not owning a credit card. I could pay cash for the truck but can't rent it with my debit card....doesn't make sense.Reviewed 9 Sep 2017
