Pros: Wonderful. We really couldn't fault our stay in any way whatsoever. The room was fabulous and having it's own private terrace was a lovely bonus. Relaxing in the Jacuzzi with a glass of red while watching highlights of The Tour was simply sublime. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had and we have stayed in hotels all over the world. Elodie was a wonderful hostess; so attentive and caring. We will definitely return.

The nature of the flat countryside is perfect for the less energetic. So as not to be disappointed, book early as this popular B&B and is in demand. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Clean and comfy rooms. Kettle in room with teabags and coffee sachets to take up to room from breakfast area. We went to find our Grandfathers grave at Buttes Cemetery and our host was very helpful giving us the bus route and tickets to use. Ypres(Ieper) is a very nice town to visit with museums and churches plus a good variety of shops. All in all a lovely experience. Wish we could have stayed longer !!

Continental breakfast was good and full of variety. The accommodation is very close to Lille Gate and only about 10 minutes from the main square and Menin Gate. There is no parking with the accommodation but off street parking is close by.

Pros: Veronique was wonderful. Unexpectedly bringing my 74 year old mother last minute, we managed o change the room to a lower floor with no inconvenience. The organisation upon arrival was clear and concise; parking was wonderful; location is 10 minutes walk to the Grote Markt and Menin Gate; room was spacious with great decor with en suite. Very clean. Breakfast was wonderful and incredibly relaxed. Veronique is very wonderful. We will visit again.

Cons: Parking is a little complicated-it's on the street but you need a blue sticker which you can get from the hotel. The hotel is located inside the city walls so restricted parking is expected. We parked right across street so it was not a problem.

Pros: Great location. A walk away from the train and bus station. Also to the Centre and Menin Gate for Last Post ceremony every evening. Plenty of eateries and cafes. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Clean and comfy rooms. Kettle in room with teabags and coffee sachets to take up to room from breakfast area. We went to find our Grandfathers grave at Buttes Cemetery and our host was very helpful giving us the bus route and tickets to use. Ypres(Ieper) is a very nice town to visit with museums and churches plus a good variety of shops. All in all a lovely experience. Wish we could have stayed longer !!

Pros: The accommodation was very clean and tidy. Veronique is a wonderful host, very attentive and seemingly tireless at breakfast ensuring the guests had plenty to eat and drink. Continental breakfast was good and full of variety. The accommodation is very close to Lille Gate and only about 10 minutes from the main square and Menin Gate. There is no parking with the accommodation but off street parking is close by.
Cons: This is just being picky and does not detract from the fact that the accommodation is great. The bed was short in length and being a tall person this meant that my feet hung over the end but for a few nights I can live with it! Although a kettle was provided in the room there were no cups or tea coffee making facilities to go with it. The shower cubicle was small and the control valve could easily be knocked out of position causing the water temperature to be changed! Unless a guest can get a first floor room then anyone who has difficulties with climbing steep steps this accommodation may not suitable. Would I stay at this accommodation again, yes most definitely.

Pros: Veronique was wonderful. Unexpectedly bringing my 74 year old mother last minute, we managed o change the room to a lower floor with no inconvenience. The organisation upon arrival was clear and concise; parking was wonderful; location is 10 minutes walk to the Grote Markt and Menin Gate; room was spacious with great decor with en suite. Very clean. Breakfast was wonderful and incredibly relaxed. Veronique is very wonderful. We will visit again.

The temperature in the room became so warm, it woke us both during the night......to the extent we missed breakfast on Monday morning as it took a while to resettle during the night and breakfast is only available until 9.30am on weekdays. Also I had expected a premium room to have a view.....it didn’t.

Pros: Everything!! The staff were accomodating with meals and directions. The food was 10/10 we had vegetables for first time in days, and the choice was great. The dining /bar staff gentleman was happy, conversational and welcoming. The room clean , spacious, air conditioner +++ wonderful. The 20 minute walk into Menin gate was easy after driving. I have to say it was one of the best places we have stayed at in 5 weeks of travelling

Pros: We've stayed at the Best Western Flanders Lodge on previous visits to Ypres and had no hesitation in booking and staying there again. Our room was comfortable and had air conditioning. A wide variety of food was available at the breakfast buffet (including some cooked items).

Cons: the rooms were a little gloomy as the decor seemed to be a "ranch" style theme. would be nice if they had at least a splash of colour as it is a bit depressing. however the room was well appointed, modern and clean. The shower was lovely but was a bit slippy so you just had to watch your step when using soap, a bath mat would be a help. Breakfast was busy with a couple of coach parties so best to avoid their getaway times if you can

The toilet had not been flushed ? or cleaned ? as it still had effluent / yellow wee when we arrived Breakfast was a poor standard ( quality of food ) and the reception / manager was the only person on duty, so a lot of the choices of food weren't available for several minutes

Cons: At 45 euros per person per night for bed only I didn’t expect he Ritz but the bedrooms and beds need a complete update. Whilst clean the furniture and fittings are pretty average. I was very surprised when I was asked for an additional 15 euros per night for breakfast which consisted of one choice of cereal and cheese , ham bread and a selection of jams, honey etc. Coffee tea and orange was available. The service from the gentlemen was very attentive for two mornings but we were told on the last night that no one would be in the hotel next morning. When we asked about the 15 euros we had paid they then said they would make sandwiches for us and leave them in the fridge and showed us how to operate the coffee/tea machine. The next and our last morning there were NO hotel staff at all and we just helped ourselves as best we could. Never happened to me before in any hotel anywhere.
