Pros: The reception was very friendly. Good information a nice beer and good company. The Rooms where big, clean and very nice. The location is very central and in a beautiful house. The owners are very friendly and know a lot about the history of Ypres and the Ypres Salient on the western front. The breakfast was a a joy in a very beatiful room and the bed was nice.

There are many treatments available, which we have not yet tried. A walk to Grote Markt is only 5 minutes from the BB Yoake. Location is very quiet and peaceful. No amount of words can state how much I recommend BB Yoake, it's a lovely experience.

Roof windows had very effective blackout blinds which made for a great nights sleep. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with an honesty bar in the corridor for cold drinks and alcohol. Easy access to the battlefields (via Hellfire Corner) and Ypres town centre.

Cons: Perhaps an option for a hard mattress. we are unusual as we like hard beds but then I am sure Nancy would have changed it immediately if we asked. We were so tired we slept well anyway so perhaps a soft bed is good!

Pros: Location was great to see the city, very central. Free parking in front as we left the car there after checking out.
Cons: The house is old and some facilities are of that age like heating and hot water. In our case the hot water stopped working and place were still cold even if the radiators were hot. We have been given the opportunity to use the shower in another room, however it spoils the comfort with around freezing temperatures outside. Not many options to choose from at breakfast time as they were brought from the kitchen. Light on the stairs a bit tricky as they were with the sensor and it they were going off while half way through.

Pros: Just a 5 minute drive from the centre of Ypres and excellent location for all battlefield sites. Extremely welcoming hosts and lots of local knowledge and historical information. Fabulous breakfast.
Cons: The ensuite bathroom was a partitioned section of the bedroom rather than a separate room but still had everything we needed and water was warm and shower was powerful.

The bathroom, especially the large bathtub, was greatly appreciated after being out in the cold wind and rain all day. We also liked being able to adjust the heat as we pleased. The bed was very large and great for a good night's sleep. There was lots of information about Ypres in the room as well. The location was superb.. A 2 minute walk to the Gate (do not miss the Last Post ceremony!) and the central square.
