Cons: Couldn’t find milk for early cup of tea.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a great Bed and Breakfast, I had a text from Nathalie to find out what time we would arrive so they could arrange parking as there is only limited street parking, Typical for Ypres centre. When we arrived we found the property to be centrally located, and very convenient for the Menin Gate and the town centre, but in a very quiet location just near the ramparts, Claus helped me in with our bags and took me to the very secure parking area a few minutes from the house. Peace of mind to know your car or bike is secure in a city, although Ypres is a very safe place to be. Our room was immaculate, great bathroom, nice towels, plenty of water in the room and quality bed and bedding. There is also an honesty bar, so help yourself from the fridge, or if you like put your own beer in the fridge. All adds to your stay. Breakfast was typical continental with plenty of choice of yogurts, meats, cheeses and breads. Nathalie's bread pudding was especially good. All in all we have found our new favourite place to stay in Ypres and hope we can go back many more times. Thank you both
Cons: There is absolutely nothing to improve here, great location, secure parking, great bed and breakfast.

Pros: Situated just a very short walk from the centre of Ypres, the B&B Noja was a great place to stay, with off-road free parking very close by. The bedrooms were beautifully and tastefully decorated. We were very warmly welcomed by Nathalie and Claus, who served us with a lovely and tasty continental breakfast the following morning.

9.3 Excellent (716 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean. Well positioned. Nice hostess
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome on arrival, we were given some ideas of places to visit and given two maps, one of the town and another one for the surrounding places of interest. The location was easy to find and is a few minutes walk away from the centre of the town, and had free car parking. The rooms were very good, our party occupied three of these and ours had a balcony where we were able to sit with the rest of the family and have a cup of tea. We could also hear the chimes from the Cloth Hall clock from the balcony which was very nice. We all slept very well at the property. Breakfast was a buffet style 'continental' breakfast and was quite comprehensive and kept us going until early afternoon. We thought that given the location, the cleanliness of the accommodation and the availability of free parking nearby Juliette's B&B was very good value for money
Cons: Nothing really to dislike about the property.

We would certainly stay there again if available

Overview Reviews
With a stay at B&B Hortensia, you'll be centrally located in Ypres, within a 10-minute walk of Cloth Hall and In Flanders Fields Museum. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful breakfast-super location with a charming hostess. Walkable distance to the ramparts and the Menin Gate. Easy access to restaurants and tourist locations . I would definitely stay here again
Cons: Parking is a little complicated-it's on the street but you need a blue sticker which you can get from the hotel. The hotel is located inside the city walls so restricted parking is expected. We parked right across street so it was not a problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Veronique, as ever, was the perfect host. Warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Good location as a base for visiting the sights in Ypres and touring further into the countryside. The accommodation exceeded all expectations in cleanliness and functionality. Great for just a day or longer. Breakfast was lovely with local fresh produce and the facility of a beautiful packed lunch, if required, for your day of sightseeing around the battlefields. Relaxing stay and would always return for further holidays. Have used this B&B on previous visits to Ypres. Although I do not use the facility, one can hire bicycles at the B&B should you require. The nature of the flat countryside is perfect for the less energetic. So as not to be disappointed, book early as this popular B&B and is in demand. I have found that once you have stayed there you would not want to stay anywhere else.
Cons: There is nothing one can fault with this B&B. It would be great if the B&B had more rooms for my larger groups, however one would lose that personal touch that makes the stay so pleasant.

We went to find our Grandfathers grave at Buttes Cemetery and our host was very helpful giving us the bus route and tickets to use. Ypres(Ieper) is a very nice town to visit with museums and churches plus a good variety of shops. All in all a lovely experience. Wish we could have stayed longer !!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was very clean and tidy. Veronique is a wonderful host, very attentive and seemingly tireless at breakfast ensuring the guests had plenty to eat and drink. Continental breakfast was good and full of variety. The accommodation is very close to Lille Gate and only about 10 minutes from the main square and Menin Gate. There is no parking with the accommodation but off street parking is close by.
Cons: This is just being picky and does not detract from the fact that the accommodation is great. The bed was short in length and being a tall person this meant that my feet hung over the end but for a few nights I can live with it! Although a kettle was provided in the room there were no cups or tea coffee making facilities to go with it. The shower cubicle was small and the control valve could easily be knocked out of position causing the water temperature to be changed! Unless a guest can get a first floor room then anyone who has difficulties with climbing steep steps this accommodation may not suitable. Would I stay at this accommodation again, yes most definitely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Veronique was wonderful. Unexpectedly bringing my 74 year old mother last minute, we managed o change the room to a lower floor with no inconvenience. The organisation upon arrival was clear and concise; parking was wonderful; location is 10 minutes walk to the Grote Markt and Menin Gate; room was spacious with great decor with en suite. Very clean. Breakfast was wonderful and incredibly relaxed. Veronique is very wonderful. We will visit again.
Cons: I would specify if you have a problem with stairs as there are quite a lot of stairs if on floor 2 (hence why we were offered to change rooms).

Pros: Just such a wonderful caring experience after our last Airbnb-felt Veronique really cared about you and was very professional and helpful

Pros: The Owners and their staff, a lady named Pebbles, were ALWAYS helpful and smiling. All of them were knowledgeable about the museums, the bike trails and things to see around Ieper. To me, this the hotel in Ieper. Close to the Menin Gate and to the street cafes.

Pros: Excellent location, and staff.

Pros: This was an unpretentious and simple hotel ideally placed for a battlefield tour of the Ypres area. The Cloth Hall, Menin Gate and a variety of restaurants were only a few minutes walk. There was parking very close to the hotel. The small staff were charming and helpful. The beds were comfortable, the eggs freshly cooked and the coffee strong.
Cons: No complaints

Pros: Staff were fantastic. It's a family hotel and therefore felt like home. It's in the centre but away that it's not noisy. Breakfast was great. They cook it there in front of you which was a bit quirky. The room was a lovely size.
Cons: The bed was way too soft for me but it might suit others.

7.1 Good
Pros: Good location in the centre of town within easy walking of all the attractions. Wi-fi was good. Street parking from 6pm to 9am was free in the vicinity. Good cooked breakfast. Friendly staff.
Cons: There was no lift and the stairs were quite steep and narrow. Room was in the eves on the top floor and it was quite warm, however, there was a ceiling fan which helped. Shower was ok but not very strong.

Cons: some of us couldn't access the wifi
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location is fantastic, rooms exceptionally clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good including freshly cooked eggs to order. Nice guest lounge with drinks available at the 'honesty' bar.
Cons: The noise from cars on the cobbled road was rather intrusive. I would certainly request a room at the rear next time.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly! The lady of the house was easy to reach in case of emergency (which there weren't any besides a toilet paper emergency). The view from our room (Denim Thoughts) was the row of houses across the street, but that's to be expected with a B&B in the middle of town. There's an honesty bar downstairs. The first place ever that provided washing cloths :)
Cons: - Room "Denim Thoughts" has an orange street light right next to the window, which goes out some nights, but not every night. The folding curtains block out most of the light, but leaves some on the side. - The light switches were quite confusing even after three days of staying there. - When staying multiple days, we would advise you to bring your own shampoo (only a little tube was provided).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Instructions on how to get in were clear once we had read correctly the confirmation email from Jo, the host. Room, breakfast room and everything was sparkling clean and welcoming and Jo the host was warm and friendly. We loved it all, parking in street easy and right there at Groht Markt. Would definitely stay again. Jo is delightful. Jane. April, 2019.

Pros: Fab location, very friendly accommodating host spotless and comfortable room amazing plentiful breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb. Fresh fruit, pastries, breads, juices, teas/coffee and cooked egg (style of choice) ...the catering was amazing as was hospitality overall.
Cons: Perhaps an option for a hard mattress. we are unusual as we like hard beds but then I am sure Nancy would have changed it immediately if we asked. We were so tired we slept well anyway so perhaps a soft bed is good!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast and location.
Cons: There was no door on the bathroom which was embarrassing. A flimsy short screen was not enough
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts are friendly and very helpful. Made us feel most welcome. Room was quiet and the bed was soft and comfortable. We slept very well. Breakfast was first class and we had to drag ourselves away from it.

Pros: Excellent stay, Nancy Room was the perfect host and looked after us so well and also provided much information on Ypres.

We would always use the Albion when staying in Ypres now highly recommend this hotel.

Cons: Wish we stayed longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, staff and comfortable rooms. Having stayed in Ypres for any years, this is the first time I have stayed in the Novotel Iper. Highly recommended.
Cons: A small breakfast choice of just coffee and a pastry. Rather than the full breakfast at a full price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was better than we could have dreamed of plus car park under the hotel ( separate payment) was great with lift straight to reception.
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The new rooms are perfect, staff is super polite and friendly, breakfast all you need is there, ieper Center is just behind the corner. Recomended!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hotel, minutes from the Menin Gate and Main Square. On arrival we discovered that we’d been given an upgraded room, which was a large family room, with all the amenities we could want, including a very large TV! The hotel staff were excellent and spoke perfect English and even tried to help us with a few Flemish phrases! We didn’t eat at the hotel as there are so many local bars and restaurants and we wanted to see as much of Ypres as possible. There was parking outside on the street, which was free overnight. I would definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Ypres!
Cons: The hotel was faultless!
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location, helpful friendly staff, early check in, room well appointed, good Aircon.
Cons: No parking - only very expensive public underground parking available. Breakfast too expensive Bed linen a bit worse for wear.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Conveniently located.
Cons: It is not clear that the parking at the hotel is €20. Per night despite the car park being underneath the hotel. One would expect the hotel and the car park owners to have a discount agreement in place. The breakfast was an extra €16pp (we decided not to bother which was annoying as we usually stay in self catering accommodation but specifically wanted to stay in a hotel to take away the hassle of shopping for/cooking breakfast). We stayed for three nights/four days so with the car park and if we’d have paid for the breakfast this short city break would’ve cost over €500! Our room had a toilet separated from the bathroom but without a sink which is very unhygienic.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to Centre
Cons: Insufficient free parking and breakfast too expensive
