The man at the rental counter was absolutely awful, so unnecessarily mean and rude. He was a total bully, would not accept that I had a promo code (given to me because I waited in line at the desk for 2 hours the day before and did not receive the car!!) and would not tell me why, just said ‘that’s not gonna cut it’), and would also not accept that I have a completely valid car rental insurance policy through my credit card. He told me don’t bother trying to park the car later in because I won’t be able to get into the lot, it’ll be too busy and I won’t be able to get parked and will have to bring it back the next day instead. He also told me to sign something and then said, “and you’ve just signed to say you understand everything on this page, and also what’s in this booklet that I haven’t even given you yet.” It is completely unlawful and wrong to ask someone to sign for something they haven’t even been shown. He deliberately spoke so fast so that I couldn’t remember everything he was telling me, and then even acknowledged that he is speaking fast and continued doing so. I am a young female and he is an older male, I wonder if he speaks like this to everyone or did it to me because he knew he could get away with it with no repercussions. I was left tearful and shaking after the encounter, and was scared into bringing my car back way earlier than planned as he said I wouldn’t be able to park it later on. My day was completely ruined, I thinks he gets a kick out of talking to people like this having looked at similar reviews.

Open-air all-terrain
The jeep Wrangler was clean and fun to drive. Matches the theme driving in a tropical island. AT tires made the ride unnecessarily less comfortable since all the roads we drove were paved. The worst was pick up and late drop off process. The pickup line took almost an hour and the late dropoff box for the keys are in an inconvenient location. Other than that, still got our money's worth. Would've gladly paid a bit more for a better pickup and dropoff process.

I reserved for the Chrysler Pacifica but I end up with a ford expedition. The Hyatt centric garage was too low and the our rental won’t fit on the parking.
Friendly staff, but not enough of them to handle morning line-up at the hotel location. Waited close to o 2 hours before I received a car to drive off. Car exterior was in good condition, but the back seats needed a shampoo as there were major stains on them.

Overcharged. Slow to drop off because of lack of staff. Had to go to local outlet to get things fixed. Will never use again.
This location is not at the airport and will cost an extra 100.00 or so to go back and forth to airport. Air conditioner didnt work in the back . So they gave me a $60 credit. Experience was ok but would of rented at airport if known they were 20 minutes away and no transportation to and from location.

I rented a small SUV back in March for June in Honolulu HI. back in March the rental was cheap 250 for 6 days, then the car rental in HI blew up. I was so relieved that I already had my rental reserved. When I got to HI and went to pick up my car they told me that I had my rental pick up set at Wakiki not at the airport. No biggie I took an Uber to pick it up at the address they sent me to, only to find out that it’s been permanently closed since the pandemic. So I called customer support and everyone kept apologizing and saying that they could not help me but they could cancel my reservation. All of them wanted to help me by canceling my reservation. I said absolutely not to this “help” I persisted but they could do nothing for me on that day. Luckily my hotel was not far from the location the Uber had taken us. So now we were forced to walk lugging our luggage for at least a mile. The next day someone was able to help me and I had to take another Uber to pick up a car. Not the one I rented but I was glad to have something to get around in. Not a great experience getting it but ok once I got it. They still made me drop off the car at the new location they sent me to and I had to take another Uber to the airport so another 78 bucks down the drain.

Car battery died (no lights or anything was left on). Was told it would take at least an hour and a half to have emergency assistance come give a boost. Then was told I would have to bring back the rental to the same location for an exchange which was an hour and a half on the other side of the island. They should have allowed me to exchange at a closer location. Wasted about 6 hours of my day because they do not check their cars to make sure they are working properly.
Fuel was at 3/4 when we picked it up. There was only one agent checking people in so it took forever and he didn’t do a very good job explaining where and how to return the vehicle. We had to do a chat while we drove around the parking garage

I had reserved a full sized sedan like a Camry however, the told me that they only have an extra large SUV or a jeep wrangler rubicon. The representative then said I can either take what he is offering or cancel the reservation. I wanted a comfortable and relaxing drive instead i had an extra large stressful drive......

I waited for over 2 hours in line to pick up my vehicle at Avis only to find that none were available. After waiting another 30 minutes, they were able to find me a vehicle. So 2.5 hours of my prepaid vehicle were already gone. Then upon return, I attempted to refuel the vehicle but the gas door would not unlock despite numerous attempts so I was unable to refuel it. This is apparently a known problem on my vehicle (a Kia K5) and could have been a major safety concern if we were left stranded far away from our hotel because of an inability to refuel our vehicle.
