First mini van they gave me didn’t have fold down seats. Went back to counter ang was given another vehicle no problem. Upon returning my van, I was asked which airlines I was taking. I responded that I was local going to walk back to my office about 3 blocks away. No problem, they offered me a ride to my office. Thank you Hertz. Aloha

Overpriced nickel and dimer.I liked that it’s right across the arrival gates.That they charge you by the hour after a contracted time is up. It’s like renting a love motel except they screw you over. Trying to drop off the car at a poorly managed hnl terminal give yourself 15-30 extra minutes once you arrive at the airport to drop off.

too few clerks at pickup, incredibly bad signage for dropoffThe clerk was friendly and helpful, when I finally got to talk to one. (The initial male clerk/supervisor was quite unhelpful) Pick up was very close to the airport, and the car was very close to the desk. Car worked fine, but odd to have Nissan Optima floor mats in a Kia.10 terminals at pickup ... 2 or 3 were manned. had to wait, standing, in line much longer than reasonable. Come on, how long *should* it take to give someone keys? Failing that, *CHAIRS* plus "take-a-number" would be much more comfortable. Don't think I didn't notice that National had no line waiting! At dropoff, came in the "normal" way, and failed to see any "rental car dropoff" signs. Finally googled "Hertz", and found a dilapidated, dirty, old lot with a few cars and a trailer with the sign "Hertz". Inside, the lone attendant was able to give us directions to the real return lot, a few blocks away. This was a failure of Waze, Google, and Apple Maps, too. If I were Hertz, I'd work to ensure that a Waze/etc search for "Hertz return" (or similar) actually, you know, *found* the dropoff center! Hertz: you cant' work a deal with Sirius or XM? No? Really?

InsuranceEasy to return the car :)I would prefer to get full coverage insurance. I only signed up for the one offered by kayak which only covered us for rental car. Hertz insisted we had to get a third party insurance. Hence we had no choice but to buy one from them.

Brand New RideWe got a brand new vehicle, top model. No damages so we felt at ease knowing charges for damages we didn’t cause would not be charged to our card. Drop off was a breeze and took only 5 minutes.Like all rental companies, the “gold member” line had more attendants and moved quicker.
